From the beginning I knew I was different. I embraced it, but you didn't. Your normal life, 9-5, it's just not for me. I need to feel alive! No other breakdown from any song has given me chills as intense as the one I get from this song's breakdown; the build up of angst and pity anger all gushing and exploding stemming from deep rooted emotions during the breakdown is just bliss. I'm so glad to have ears.

same I know this is late but My parents finally listend to how I play drums and now I have support. It was hard at first because I was always talked down, "you could never play that, you will never be good enough, you should just stop." Push through it and you can do amazing things.

exactly my point, you don't understand. You're listening to the sound, not the message of the song lol. I don't expect people that normally aren't used to this to understand. Even me at first didn't get it, but it takes some time but this really has a strong message to it. An untrained ear can't see/hear it, but it's ok go listen to the music you like cause we all have different taste. I'm not gonna talk shit about anyones music. all that matters is that I enjoy it :)
Christian or not (even though I'm a born and raised Catholic) the songs Memphis May Fire makes can effect us all for the better. I love metal. Probably will never stop liking it. All I can really say is this album helped me achieve sobriety after a life of sin and self-destruction. I hope all you listeners take the most out of these songs as you can whether it's for becoming sober or not.

This is by far the bests MMF song!
My husband's best friend was the guitarist for MMF. We were at a show in Portland. When they did the sound check before the show, Alive in the lights is the song they performed to test check. Me and my husband were the only 2 on the floor. The most chilling 4 minutes of life. There might as well have been a million people in the room. Amazing. My husband's favorite song ever since.

The things you hear everywhere, that you enjoy listening to, is not music. It's just well put together noise with harmonized words being said throughout the song.
MMF killed it on this album. The rhythm, the vocals, the lead, everything! Definitely earned a lifetime fan for this one.
