@@JacobG Yeah, the stuff they've been releasing recently is fantastic. The Hollow and Challenger are hard albums to beat for me, but this new stuff is absolutely up there.
I listened to this song like a thousand times when I was sixteen and sang the lyrics and identified a little bit with not recognizing who I am, but now being actually 21 and a recovering alcoholic this song means so much more to me I can see myself in everyone of these lines. I'm truly happy a song like this exists.
Used to listen to this as a teen, thought it was a cool song. 27 now, it's hitting way too close to home. Mad how sometimes it takes years to truly understand lyrics.

I know a LOT of people who like stuff thats just made to be brutal or heavy, me included, but then I always enjoy a nice slowdown to something along the metalcore lines such as this. So long as it's not just a cookie cutter band. I don't care if it's the band that made the cookie cutter, I hate the replicas though.
Used to listen to this song every time I would feel suicidal in the past. It would encourage a good sobbing session, after which I would pick myself up and go on with my day. I'm grateful for the music I listened to in my early 20s.
Don't know you but I'm damn proud of you! Keep it up! Put your future ahead of you, battle your demons and never look back! Don't let them control you! YOU control them!

I relate to this song a lot. I was always depressed as a kid, drugged up parents and raised by my grandparents. Saw them live yesterday that was awesome. I never expected to see them in France but they finally come and i wasn't disapointed. Great show from a great band !
I have finally decided to comment on a videos & I have a couple of things I want to say... First off, yes they are a Christian band and I am a Christian but why should a bands beliefs stop you from listening to their music? You listen to music for the words and the meaning behind them, to make you happy, & a lot of the times "for me personally" to get through tough times. That's the main reason I listen to music like this. Who cares what genre is it, honestly? I could care less but that's just me lol. For the people that don't believe in God, I'll say that, that's fine by me. You have your beliefs and I have mine and just because I believe in God doesn't mean I don't listen to badass music. I mean, I listen to anything from Mumford & Sons to Suicide Silence. I've seen many bands live including Motionless in White, Attila, & BMTH. Their beliefs don't bother me or stop me from listening to them. I'm there to enjoy the music & because a lot of bands have helped me through tough times. Music like this "metal core" or anything around it shouldn't make you want to cut your wrists.. Music like Justin Bieber should. "jk". Oh and I'm trying to type this on my phone so a lot of this I can't see unless I re-read so I may not be making sense but oh well.

This song is just so relevant and I can't stop listening. Been on repeat all day
this has to be my favorite song from memphis may fire hands down no questions asked...
Drowning myself every night
Me versus me has always been my biggest fight
I've been so confused for so long
And the answers always seem so far out of sight
So I fill it up, fill it up one more time
So when everything is wrong at least I still feel right
I'm in the tunnel but I can't see the light
I just want to feel whole again
So I can let you in
I just want to feel whole again
I just want to feel whole
Oh where is my self control?
Where is my self control?
I've been thinking this could be the end of me
Who is this person in the mirror I see?
And I have come so far, thought I was so strong
The truth is I've just fed myself a lie for too long
I never thought this would be me
But now I'm on the verge of self destruction
How could this happen to me?
I've never been the type to run from anything, run from anything
So sick and tired of wondering where my morals have gone
My father didn't raise me to become this
Where did I go wrong?
There is not much left of me
I can't feel the ground beneath my feet
There is not much left of me
I let everyone around me down
And now I'm headed to the bottom of the bottle
Just to block out the sound
God I need you now!
I've been thinking this could be the end of me
Who is this person in the mirror I see?
And I have come so far, thought I was so strong
The truth is I've just fed myself a lie for too long
This is my vice, this is me weak
I need your love to erase this doubt
I need your hand to pull me out
Sometimes I feel like I will never learn
'Cause the bottle's always there when I have nowhere else to turn
Will I ever learn? Will I ever learn?
I take another sip
The dark room that I'm in becomes dimly lit
This can't be all there is
And I've been thinking this could be the end of me
Who is this person in the mirror I see?
And I have come so far, thought I was so strong
The truth is I've just fed myself a lie for too long
And the only one to blame is me
Who have I become?
This is my desperate shout
Pull me out!
Pull me out!
God I need you now!

Man this song has so much emotion... It's so intense.
Seriously, for a guy whose singing voice is relatively high, he can get REALLY low with those roars lol
Yeah, he has amazing range and it sounds fucking great i love
That's because you don't use your vocal chords for growls. Basically every person can get that low with enough practice.
Minecrafttroller420 666 Technically, that's correct, but it takes some serious training to get it THAT low. False cord screams can be difficult.
Jacob That's why i said that you need enough practice :D
that's actually not that low really
2:37 gets me every time. i like that he doesnt leave that out of the ways that we destroy ourselves.
OMG I SAW THEM TODAY AND MATTY GAVE ME A HUG OMGGG♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

this band and this song saved my life once upon a time. forever one of my favorite bands. thanks guys.
this is an amazing song.
