I personally don't like the screaming, that's not stopping me going to see them in 2 weeks. Also by saying the proof is in the popularity you're also saying thats jbs music can be good
Justin Bieber is good music, it's just not to me and a lot of people over a certain age, but it does follow and meet a code in music just like AA that makes it "good music" within their individual respected genre. I guess the moral of this comment is just say a band or artist isn't for you, you don't need to rip it out of them using easy stereotypes.
First off: as a clinical psychology major, popularity does not equal substance. It usually points toward a social heuristic or over generalization in part of the Masses. Basically these guys have a really good PR department and thats why they are popular. They write meaningless songs directed at the most vulnerable audience, preteens and teens, so that they feel like they have someone to be different with, which is blatant manipulation, and nothing more than establishing a brand. Now onto the music: when compared with bands of a similar sonic corner of the music world, Veil of Maya, Born of Osiris, and Animals as Leaders, even original scene hardcore bands like Greeley Estates, the song writing is just flaccid and the music is even more boring and dull. A veil of maya album is like a fast paced journey of rage and introspection, owning up to their name, Veil of Maya (i.e a hindu idea of the world as an illusion), born of osiris is like a technical journey through spiritual pathways, just listen to the discovery album and the interludes that link it together to understand this, and Animals as Leaders is a completely instrumental journey that feels like you are fucking astral projecting through time and space. Whilst when listening to asking alexandria you are just sitting there listening to a subpar angsty song that means nothing. Do you understand now, or must I go on? Because as a musician, I feel the need to make sure that you understand why these guys make me feel ashamed every time I hear them.

+G̲ηоζτιу "Asking Alexandria live music video for "Not The American Average" from Epicenter 2011 in Irvine, CA at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater."
this song actually came out in 2009 so it's like 7 years old
Years later in college and I'm still listening to this. Ahhhhhh nothing like some good music
Man it's been so long since I first heard this, and it still gives me fucking chills. AA are just great man. Much love to Danny and the rest of them.
Holy cow . I was 14 when this banger came out . What a time to be alive
Danny Worsnop grew up in Gilberdyke, a village 6 miles away from me, I now go to the same high school he went to.
Escuchaba esta musica a los 13 años de edad, ahora estoy en la universidad y aun sigo con estas canciones .
Ah majestic, such beautiful lyrics
Why did i sing this... I was 13 😭
Because why the fuck not
Because you were a cool kid 😂
Danny is back 💖
People posting about how they hate AA yet they come onto the this video and made a comment XD Who cares if you think AA are shit, accept the fact people like them? Why can't we all just get along...
Best song in Metalcore History.
***** dont you dare ever say that. suicide isn't a joke, kid.
Shout the fuck up.
no
***** by then i would hope you would at least have experience in things and know what to keep quiet about. joking about someone ending their life isn't a joke. as a suicidal person, please shut the fuck up. everyone has their own opinion on all music and you should learn to accept that. you're making things worse.
***** 16 ... you're still a kid ...x)
Didn't expect the context, but this song melodically is really something. Emotion-inducing.
After my emo phase, this is not bad at all.
m a t t h e w right lol still slaps

You might be out the emo phase, but the emo phase isn't out of you

I was a Junior in high school when this album came out and now I’m almost 30 years old and still jam this album and I saw them live they kicked so much ass
8 years later and now my 1 year old is obsessed with the song too . Damn times flies
They really know how to put energy on the stage. Love them so much one of my favorites 😊
don't get any more British than ben saying "grasping" 😍
As a brit...Pretty sure you would change your mind if you saw Devvo
@@cinderslices is that to me or Charlotte?
But they're English though..
They came from York, England.
@@joshmann957 England is a part of Great Britain

🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I’m 22 and remember hearing this when I was 12 haha… miss those days haha now I have bills
One of the calmest songs I've ever heard :)
Yeah, it's indeed very calm, nothing like Flattening of Emotions, Captive Bolt Pistol or something heavy :P
you should listen to suicide silence wake up SUPER calm
Henry Cruz I fall asleep to Suicide Silence. And sometimes wake up to them.
You should listen to Thrasher's Abbatoir, heavy as fuck.
this was my first Asking Alexandria song
Galaxy mine was final episode
Galaxy mine was the black
The Final Episode ( Lets change the channel )
@@yogiyahya8341 Starting on the final episode... you rebel
@@yogiyahya8341 My favorite show was when the opened with Closure.
Now that Danny is back I want Reckless & Relentless II!
never gonna happen
I think Danny doesn't want to scream like this anymore? It's killing the chords. Happened to M. shadows.
You know it's still just blows my mind that people hate on this band and say that this band is trash like this band is not trash at all
I think I broke the replay button.
And the like button.
Omf, why are they so perfect ?!
*My ears are bleeding.* 3
Because Danny Worsnop is a beast
mario fatovic I prefer Corey Taylor
