I fell off of hip hop for a while when I was younger because the game got deluded with mediocre rappers at the time and then I was at my friends house doing up a mural in their bedroom and heard “Suicidal Thoughts” coming from the front of the apartment. I asked them “who the hell is this?” I was immediately drawn in 😳 My friends and I grew up rough and did a lot of grimey shit back in the day and his lyrics spoke so loudly for me like “he understands us” lol he was definitely an icon that spit his truths on a track for kids like me growing up.
