MF DOOM's death is one of the weirdest cases ever, worst than 2pac, Biggie & Eazy-E. They barely notice that he died on halloween but it publish today december 31st thats crazy & weird. I dont understand how MF died from just sad & confusing.
I saw that he died on halloween and felt ashamed of myself for not noticing it at the time. Maybe he was so far underground that it took a couple months for it to surface? Or maybe his family and friends wanted to have time to grieve before telling anybody? Who knows, regardless RIP to the goat
MF DOOM was one of the best artist that walked this earth. He cared about his listeners, his family, and friends/collaborators. R.I.P to the real Doctor Doom.
Anderson .Paak shouted out Doom on his latest record Ventura, in the song "Chosen One." Don't know if that counts, though, because they're technically labelmates (the Nx Worries album and the latest Madvillain single "Avalanche" were both released in 2016 on Stones Throw).
I mean, labelmates probably doesn't mean much for DOOM, most of the time nobody even knows where he is or what he's doing lol, not exactly hanging out in the studio
One detail in terms of Lupe Fiasco that this misses is in his song "Peace of Paper/Cup of Jayzus" he has a verse about who is the greatest rapper, he says "Look who's here the greatest rapper's arrived At the birthday party the greatest rapper surprised Bumped into DOOM, the greatest rappers collide" Worth mentioning though DOOM is not the only name he brings up similarly in this verse, such as AZ and Loaded Lux

Two big reason are 1. Drake is a major culture vulture, and people have known this for a long time now 2. Gatekeeping is hella strong with underground rap fans Put them together and boom nobody in the world is gonna believe Drake lol

As a thank you for all the love and support on this video I decided to put out a bonus video for you guys. ruclips.net/video/XK16H41gjQ0/видео.html Seriously, thank you, everyone, the love has been overwhelming. I was inspired to make this video when I saw a 'journalist’ make the claim that Freddie Gibbs is more influential than MF. Now, I like Gibbs! & you may argue Gibbs is a better rapper than DOOM but to claim that he has influenced the culture more than MF DOOM is a flat out lie. Immediately I thought to myself of all the different references rappers have made in regards to DOOM. And decided to document them in this video.
It's always important to give people their flowers while they are still here. I hope that he got to see this video. I hope that he has found peace. R.I.P MF Doom.
I still can't believe it, I started to listen seriously to DOOM's music last year after knowing him for ages and it just clicked with me, I was really waiting for more projects. It still feels surreal that he was gone for such a long time and nobody knew but I completely understand and respect the decision taken by the family. This video just simply shows how influential and phenomenal DOOM really is. Dumile may be gone, but DOOM's music and legacy will stay here forever to inspire anybody who is lucky enough to listen to him. Oh and something unrelated, at the start of the video there is some sort of lullaby tune or something like that and I know for certain that I listened to it before somewhere, where is it from?

MF DOOM's death is one of the weirdest cases ever, worst than 2pac, Biggie & Eazy-E. They barely notice that he died on halloween but it publish today december 31st thats crazy & weird. I dont understand how MF died from just sad & confusing.
I saw that he died on halloween and felt ashamed of myself for not noticing it at the time. Maybe he was so far underground that it took a couple months for it to surface? Or maybe his family and friends wanted to have time to grieve before telling anybody? Who knows, regardless RIP to the goat
but this video was made 5 months ago?
@@juicyclanos bruhh this is what I'm saying. I'm confused, someone explain this asap
@@trevorearls5424 I think he edited the title
Title changed, died 31st October, announced 31st December, he’s such a Villan; probably how he wanted it announced before he transitioned
The best emcee with no chain ya ever heard.
Man I see DOOM I click!! They don't understand....
I'm re watching this after he passed and I am glad you made this video. RIP DOOM
They all say they love madvillany but operation: doomsday stands the test of time for me
Did no one notice that that just wasn’t Donald Glovers voice?!?!
Or Danny's. Idk why he got a black guy to read the quotes hahahaha
MF DOOM was one of the best artist that walked this earth. He cared about his listeners, his family, and friends/collaborators. R.I.P to the real Doctor Doom.
Your CC keeps making an error, "MF doom". Just remember ALL CAPS when you spell the man name.
Music won't be the same without the villain. In peace may you rest DOOM, you changed the game.
6:19 I like how you used "remember" from Eevee at Freddie Gibbs part. Nice taste
Anderson .Paak shouted out Doom on his latest record Ventura, in the song "Chosen One." Don't know if that counts, though, because they're technically labelmates (the Nx Worries album and the latest Madvillain single "Avalanche" were both released in 2016 on Stones Throw).
All caps when you spell the man name
I mean, labelmates probably doesn't mean much for DOOM, most of the time nobody even knows where he is or what he's doing lol, not exactly hanging out in the studio
One detail in terms of Lupe Fiasco that this misses is in his song "Peace of Paper/Cup of Jayzus" he has a verse about who is the greatest rapper, he says
"Look who's here the greatest rapper's arrived
At the birthday party the greatest rapper surprised
Bumped into DOOM, the greatest rappers collide"
Worth mentioning though DOOM is not the only name he brings up similarly in this verse, such as AZ and Loaded Lux
It’s crazy that I started listening to this legend two days ago and how fast life can come and go
600 subs really? I honestly thought this was a 100k channel by the quality. Nice man👌
By the way the outro song is the start of Old Man - Indy, Emzy ( you can find it on youtube & spotify )
But where is the sample from???? the Indy/Emzy track sucks but the beat is great.
Bioshock music in the background go so unbelievably hard
Yoooo you’re playing music from my favorite anime (Cowboy Bebop) and my favorite game (Bioshock Infinite) in the background I dig
Best anime
I can see some of u ain’t remembering all caps when u spell the man name. Need to respect DOOM.
Its back! Congrats man!
The Weeknd is also a fan of doom music he was playing Mm food recently a while back
"Recently a while back"
All caps when you spell the man's name
DOOM
Cream Cannon shut up
all caps bro
Can we appreciate the fact that this dude popularized the phrase “your favorite rappers favorite rapper”
Really mad I never took the time to listen to his work before his death. Will 100% be checking his catalog out.
"I sell rhymes like dimes and leave MFs doomed"
sadly had to turn down the first part cause that cowboy bebop song always gets me emotional!! but great video! MF Doom is one of the greatest
Well done .. I like that you’ve taken more of the obscure clips and not the common ones… Doom was deeply ingrained in many rappers heads and hearts
i wouldnt be surprised if alfred's character on atlanta becomes something like DOOM
My heart was broken when I heard the news. Even in death he still is a mystery. Truly an inspiration to ALL who loved hip hop. He changed my life. R.I.P. MF DOOM!.... ALL CAPS when you spell the man's name!!
Your usage of Bioshock music got me hooked, oh great video btw too! xD
Cowboy bebop ost “memory” at the start was 👌🏾
2020 is officially fucking cancelled. RIP. All caps when you spell the man's name. 💔😪
7:58 is that the smiths in the background?!
i absolutely LOVE MF DOOM. I spent most of my childhood admiring him. He was like nothing i ever heard before, and I loved the fact that he was like a comic villain and stuff. just way too cool
I don’t see why drake can’t like doom. I don’t like drake but I don’t see it as a problem
drake has been known to hop on waves in music, sports, slang etc. But dude is a hiphop head and doom isnt as underground as people pretend he is
@@keenanmolden2655 doom is the posterboy for underground hip hop, but like tech n9ne, hes one of the most known indie/underground rappers in the world. there are so many underground rappers that aren't near the level of recognition as doom, so yeah, people need to stop pretending like being underground or indie means hidden or unknown. it just means they are independent. without backing from a major pretty much
Two big reason are
1. Drake is a major culture vulture, and people have known this for a long time now
2. Gatekeeping is hella strong with underground rap fans
Put them together and boom nobody in the world is gonna believe Drake lol
Eiahfou L
All caps when you spell the man’s name. DOOM
stumbled on his music two days ago and got so obsessed so quick i came on youtube to try n learn ab him.. only to find out he passed away. feel like shit realizing how long i slept on DOOM n coulda known ab him while he was still here. RIP
rest in peace the greatest lyricist hip hop will ever know, all caps when you spell the man name 🕊🕊🕊
not a rapper, but Thom Yorke of Radiohead played Shadows of Tomorrow on a KCRW dj set and labeled Madvillainy as "God's best hip-hop record"!!!
I respect that he went back to this vid to edit the title
Thank you for starting this with a Cowboy Bebop tune. That made this even greater. RIP MONEY FOLDER
For some reason I felt like MF DOOM could never die. Like a mythical creature or something. om shanti ! 💗☀️🕉️

ALL CAPS WHEN YOU SAY THE MAN’S NAME!! 🕊
I would hit Doom's website once a week for years hoping to get a glimmer of something new. Seeing no updates was normal for me. But the off chance that a gem would drop kept me coming. Now... it's like knowing for sure there won't be hurts worse than the anticipating. Gonna miss this man.
As a thank you for all the love and support on this video I decided to put out a bonus video for you guys.
ruclips.net/video/XK16H41gjQ0/видео.html
Seriously, thank you, everyone, the love has been overwhelming.
This was a really well made video!
Whats that outro song tho
Dope video. Westside Gunn is a DOOM fan and that Griselda movement has taken over.
@@nathan-lf7yc that's exactly what I wanna know..... I keep reminding it just to hear the beat
Outro song???????
It's always important to give people their flowers while they are still here. I hope that he got to see this video. I hope that he has found peace. R.I.P MF Doom.
ALL CAPS WHEN YOU SPELL THE MAN NAME
stop living
Big ups for putting the nocap album in the opening shot, I think he’s understated.
How tf is this video 5 months old?
Best MC with no chain you've ever heard
