Hey Absurd, thank you for all the DOOM content you've created over the past year. It's helped me discover so much about my favorite artist, even after his passing. You're an amazing RUclipsr and I'm always happy to watch your vids (DOOM or not). Happy Holidays.
19:54 Aesop Rock also has done a colab with DOOM in the song “Blacklist” it could be found on “Aesop Rock rarities and B-sides Volume 1”. Also on Aesop’s song “N.Y. Electric / Hunter Interlude” right before the interlude DOOM gets nammed dropped outright. Also Atmosphere has made a song featuring Aesop and DOOM called “barcade”. Aesop Rock and DOOM were featured with a handful of other people on the song “Put your quarters up”. There is many more stuff with DOOM and Aesop but that’s all I can remember for now
Bro thank you for putting Steez in here. He's been my favorite rapper for years and I already knew he loved DOOM and I didn't think you'd put him in here because he isn't very known. Thank you very much bro. Also your videos are very well made, I hope you grow more. 💘
13:27 that sample was taken off of Freddie Gibb's and Madlib's 'Bandana' off of the song 'Education' with Yasiin Bey/Mos Def and Black Thought. Brilliant...Brilliant song, 100% recommend listening to it and the whole album. Thanks for the vid man
Episode 1 of season 4 of Atlanta was a huge homage to the masked villain. They also had Earl Sweatshirt rapping as Atlanta‘s DOOM equivalent „BlueBlood“. As we all know the show was also made by our main man Childish Gambino
Been following this adventure into DOOM since you started it, proud of you buddy. Thank you for always remembering ALL CAPS when you spell the man name.
Your MF DOOM videos have a way of keeping my heart warm the whole way through while occasionally bursting into laughter in the best way possible. Thank you for the smiles. Great tunes, great memes. Definitely gonna have to hit join the discord!
Every time I watch your vids I feel like a true hip hop head...especially when I see everyone who appreciates DOOM. Still underrated by most, but I think we (true fans) love that he's "underrated." Also love the story of Mos Def talking Questloves ear off about Rhymes Like Dimes
Merry Christmas Absurd. I love your videos absolutely and I love DOOM, I'm planning to get one of those rings that you sell. You quite literally put me on MF DOOM, and at the same time Mos Def (somehow). Just have a great christmas and new years!
When I first saw the girl with Stocking's wig, I thought "huh, he must of got his one of his friends to lip sync it for him. They're pretty good too." The pipeline's real folks.
MF DOOM is the GOAT of rap music to me. When others tell me oh but you got 2pac you got Biggie and many more I tell then this: 2pac and Biggie made me start listening to rap. MF DOOM made me WRITE rap songs because I was trying to rhyme as good as he. That right there made him the GOAT to me .
I am really agree with your opinion, different short explain I want to tell you that if Tupac and Biggie set the bar, so MF DOOM already raised the bar at the climax level RIP 🙏
You should do a video about MF DOOM fan albums A few albums I think should be in the video (if you do it) 1. The lost relics of dumile (volume 1) 2. MF DOOM x Tatsuro Yamashita 3. Metaphorical Villany
Thanks for putting in the work on this, helping to keep the fandom alive! Now, can someone explain to me why mentioning Kanye West is a bannable offence on his Subreddit?
Bruh...that verse Alchemist and Bronson got in the vault is beyond fire, the fact that it never got a proper release should be considered a crime against humanity.
Personally i would compile Keys To The Cuffs in the same reverence with Operation Doomsday because him being unallowed completely to step foot on US soil indirectly ties into some straight up villainous depictions around his persona and yes Keys To The Cuffs was so brilliant that was when social media was fresh ppl were still feeling it out in masse Winter Blues has to be one of the most profound tracks off of that record

MF Doom opened for Kweli back in 2004 for a show a saw at the House of Blues on Sunset (LA). Probably was touring for the Madvillain album. That’s when I first heard of Doom.
I’ve always had respect for MF DOOM! But I’ve recently became obsessed with his music. The man recieved no awards for his music. But his music changed the world. Completely changed my perception of what it means to be an artist.
Yep, the actually song is fire too called sound is vibration by atmosphere. And man I wish steez's music was on Spotify. He rapped on beats from MF DOOM to Jedi Mind Tricks to Jay Z. He would add his personal touches to beats that we're already fire by just his rapping alone.
I'll never tire of listening to DOOM, Mm..Food, Madvillany and Vaudeville villain are some of the best hip - hop albums released, most mc's would be lucky to have one album of that calibre.
2:20 is this someone else reading this, cause this doesn’t sound like Donald Glover. Where is this interview from cause I don’t see any site or video when I search up “Donald Glover interview MF Doom”
Adding to the JPEGMAFIA part: the fact that his artist name is stylized on capital letters, also having a song called ALL CAPS NO SPACES supports this. Also i've been on Kenny's stream the day DOOM passing was announced, where it was all about the goat.
One thing about the Steez part i'm unsure about is the all caps part at the end of vibe ratings. Because Steez actually rapped on all caps instrumentals on the song "Capital STEEZ" in the same album as vibe ratings, so it could just be a reference to his own songs of the album it's up for interpretation i guess
Could you please do a video over Big L, I don't see enough about him or his career. He had bars that made Nas scared. I would really appreciate it, especially with the amount of information you've discovered on DOOM.
Something about doom that I think is really interesting is how modern he sounded back in the day especially in like 2004 compare a song like All Caps to someone like Lil Wayne at the time it’s such a major difference and it’s so good
A couple months ago I went to a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert where JD Beck and Domi opened for them. Before they finished their set, they played a cover of one of DOOM’s songs although I don’t exactly remember which one. It’s probably on yt somewhere. They are a piano and drum set duo and were fantastic!
I think fancy clown has to be the most wild concept for any of his songs. Viktor Vaughn ( Him) rapping about his girl cheating on him with MF DOOM (also him)🤣🤣🤣
On the Open Mike Eagle podcast, R.A.P. Ferreira (Milo) says DOOM is his hero. On the opening track of his album Purple Moonlight Pages, he introduces people like DOOM does on Bistro from Madvillainy.
