- The Complete Your Favorite Rapper series with new entries, removed intros & outros, improved audio, and a few visual corrections.
Every rapper who takes their craft seriously has heard of DOOM, many of which tend to be fans of the villain. Some have even mentioned DOOM in interviews, on social media, or on a track. This is an account of as many of the ones I know and have found through creating this video.
I was inspired to make this video when I saw a 'journalist' make the claim that Freddie Gibbs is more influential than MF. Now, I like Gibbs! & you may argue Gibbs is a better rapper than DOOM but to claim that he has influenced the culture more than MF DOOM has is a flat-out lie. Immediately when I read the article I thought to myself of all the different references rappers have made in regard to DOOM. And decided to make this video. Because I know for a fact that MF DOOM is your favorite rapper's favorite rapper.
Thank you to @PummyYussy for appearing in the video

Man... I wish Mos Def and MF DOOM did a project together.
The world would never be ready for that
Closest we'll ever get ruclips.net/video/e_QQamQt5x4/видео.html
ok I know people will say I'm insane but MF DOOM x C418 would go unbelievably hard

an absurd tale of books, nooks, and crannies
this man really opened the video with MEMORY from Cowboy Bebop

Hey Absurd, thank you for all the DOOM content you've created over the past year. It's helped me discover so much about my favorite artist, even after his passing. You're an amazing RUclipsr and I'm always happy to watch your vids (DOOM or not). Happy Holidays.
Thanks Dan, merry christmas my friend 🖤
*RIP MF DOOM*
May he Rest in Villainy
Always, my name is a tribute to his legacy. No one did it like the Madvillian himself
Episode 1 of season 4 of Atlanta was a huge homage to the masked villain. They also had Earl Sweatshirt rapping as Atlanta‘s DOOM equivalent „BlueBlood“. As we all know the show was also made by our main man Childish Gambino
19:54 Aesop Rock also has done a colab with DOOM in the song “Blacklist” it could be found on “Aesop Rock rarities and B-sides Volume 1”. Also on Aesop’s song “N.Y. Electric / Hunter Interlude” right before the interlude DOOM gets nammed dropped outright. Also Atmosphere has made a song featuring Aesop and DOOM called “barcade”. Aesop Rock and DOOM were featured with a handful of other people on the song “Put your quarters up”. There is many more stuff with DOOM and Aesop but that’s all I can remember for now
'Barcade' has bars on bars, in every verse!🔥
no freaking way! My two favourite rappers, and I never knew they collabed. Amazing!
Aes drew up MF DOOM logos for his video to all the smartest people

Danny brown sitting around talking about DOOM while wearing a social distortion shirt is a legendary moment
Bro thank you for putting Steez in here. He's been my favorite rapper for years and I already knew he loved DOOM and I didn't think you'd put him in here because he isn't very known. Thank you very much bro. Also your videos are very well made, I hope you grow more. 💘
Appreciate the kind words! ☮️
& same here dude, STEEZ is in my top 5, an absolute shame we didn’t get to see him prosper fully.
@@AnAbsurdExistence Steez's lyricism and character is just so unique and special. One of a kind.
RIP steelo
Mind putting a stamp on the Steez mention?

Your MF DOOM videos have a way of keeping my heart warm the whole way through while occasionally bursting into laughter in the best way possible. Thank you for the smiles. Great tunes, great memes. Definitely gonna have to hit join the discord!
Every time I watch your vids I feel like a true hip hop head...especially when I see everyone who appreciates DOOM. Still underrated by most, but I think we (true fans) love that he's "underrated." Also love the story of Mos Def talking Questloves ear off about Rhymes Like Dimes
1. J Dilla (Your favorite producer's favorite producer)
2. Madlib
3. Pete Rock
4. DJ Premier
5. 45 King
I heard of all these producers except 45 King. About to check him out now. Thanks for putting me on 👍.
@@hayate_soe260 You won't be disappointed. He's a legend
Been following this adventure into DOOM since you started it, proud of you buddy.
Thank you for always remembering ALL CAPS when you spell the man name.
Great Christmas gift, Thanks!
Thank you Wingman ☮️🖤
13:27 that sample was taken off of Freddie Gibb's and Madlib's 'Bandana' off of the song 'Education' with Yasiin Bey/Mos Def and Black Thought. Brilliant...Brilliant song, 100% recommend listening to it and the whole album. Thanks for the vid man
Loved your stuff throughout the years, thanks for the constant stream of DOOM content
This video is a banger like always
DOOM will always be the one. With that being said, Jay Electronica is wrongfully slept on and hugely, hugely underrated.
absolutely fire video/series and for one more joey also talked about DOOM on Zipcodes
Logic also made an entire album influenced by MF DOOM when he adopted the DOC D name and made Planetory Destruction
Vinyl Days also pays a ton of respect to DOOM and MADLIB (even has a song dedicated to Quasi)
MF DOOM is the GOAT of rap music to me. When others tell me oh but you got 2pac you got Biggie and many more I tell then this:
2pac and Biggie made me start listening to rap. MF DOOM made me WRITE rap songs because I was trying to rhyme as good as he. That right there made him the GOAT to me .
I am really agree with your opinion, different short explain I want to tell you that if Tupac and Biggie set the bar, so MF DOOM already raised the bar at the climax level RIP 🙏
Merry Christmas Absurd. I love your videos absolutely and I love DOOM, I'm planning to get one of those rings that you sell. You quite literally put me on MF DOOM, and at the same time Mos Def (somehow). Just have a great christmas and new years!
Great vids many thanks
yeees i've been waiting for this
I just want to point-out that the transition sound bites you used were incredibly choice for the format of this video.
thank you!
love this vid, MF Doom's lyricism goes crazy
Thanks for singlehandedly keeping DOOM fans going with fresh content- may you be blessed by the algorithm in the future 🫡
You should do a video about MF DOOM fan albums
A few albums I think should be in the video (if you do it)
1. The lost relics of dumile (volume 1)
2. MF DOOM x Tatsuro Yamashita
3. Metaphorical Villany
True! I feel it is a very big part it!
MF DOOM x Sade
interesting

#2 is sooooo good.
great vid as always thank you aae!
When I first saw the girl with Stocking's wig, I thought "huh, he must of got his one of his friends to lip sync it for him. They're pretty good too."
The pipeline's real folks.
It really is, seen too many examples
Wait what
It’s finally complete as all things should
thank you. merry christmas.
cant believe i missed it 😔 good video tho🙏🙏
Sorry coffee, I almost missed this as well
Aye! New subscriber on the merit of this. Well done, man. Thanks!
Another great video from your favorite youtubers favorite youtuber
*You're speaking the truth brother*
dropping a sub for sure, fire video
omg The finished video after all these years
peak choice of background music esp that first track W
woo great video :D
Been watching these all day. Had to give ya a subscribe man. ALL CAPS WHEN YOU SPELL HIS NAME
I know this is random but I noticed this Chanel has been using bio shocks music. And I love it.
Thanks for putting in the work on this, helping to keep the fandom alive!
Now, can someone explain to me why mentioning Kanye West is a bannable offence on his Subreddit?
Lol, i think it’s because everyone kept posting that photo of DOOM & Ye to the point where it was half-hazardous spam.
Thanks for the love. ☮️
The fact that he just brought one of his paintings to Nas’ house and hung it up is so funny to me lol
Freddie Gibbs won't leave a single dent on tue music industry.
DOOM is FOREVER.
that 8 bit version of cinema in the background is sick.
no way this video doesn’t even have a million views this was amazing
Thx for this chrismas and birthday gift
happy birthday!
@@AnAbsurdExistence Thx I needed that ;_;, and I appreciate you
Watching with a smile on my face for all the love for DOOM ❤
Personally i would compile Keys To The Cuffs in the same reverence with Operation Doomsday
because him being unallowed completely to step foot on US soil indirectly ties into
some straight up villainous depictions around his persona and yes
Keys To The Cuffs was so brilliant that was when social media was fresh
ppl were still feeling it out in masse
Winter Blues has to be one of the most profound tracks off of that record
Omfg winter blues is one of my favorite DOOM songs
@@peachulemon Mine has to be question mark the landscape of Operation
Doomsday is like a birdseye view of the grit and filth he was surrounded
by on a day to day The aftermath of the golden age of hip hop ran dry
Doom is left stranded in ruins in a once thriving land
where he alcamelized raw material for future wealth and innovation
Can you imagine the residual impact Keys to the Cuffs would have had if he would have stayed in America?
Far phenomenal beyond comprehension
Subroc
🙏
love all the different artists you mentioned... also, comment for algorythm
The Scatman soundclip that plays when Eminem's title card shows up always cracks me up.
awesome bro!
Thanks!
Rip the man on my right arm
I LOVE YOUR HAIR!!!
MF Doom opened for Kweli back in 2004 for a show a saw at the House of Blues on Sunset (LA). Probably was touring for the Madvillain album. That’s when I first heard of Doom.
04:48 machine girl enjoyer
That shit is so fcking good
RIP DOOM, THE GREATEST TO EVER DO IT ❤️
You missed the entire Wu Tang Clan especially Masta Killa and Inspectah Deck
Subbed
Banger
Keys to the kuffs is some of the hardest shit from DOOM 🐐
EL-P also has a line on 3 tearz by Danny brown that says “true DOOM eat up your crew like mmmmm food” so I’d imagine he likes him
Dam this video made me feel old AF. I've never heard of half these artists not trying to diss just saying... great video though
Very well constructed video! Could you make a video about the masks MF DOOM went through before he landed on his iconic gladiator mask, I can't find any video on that topic, and you make the arguably highest quality DOOM content on RUclips.
no love for CZARFACE?
CZARDOOM CZARDOOM....
I'll never tire of listening to DOOM, Mm..Food, Madvillany and Vaudeville villain are some of the best hip - hop albums released, most mc's would be lucky to have one album of that calibre.
Surprised not to hear any mention of Ghostface Killah. Regardless, good video and thorough analysis. 👍
Appreciate you using my footage of Mos Def speaking on DOOM and not cropping out my watermark. #SUPA
Bruh...that verse Alchemist and Bronson got in the vault is beyond fire, the fact that it never got a proper release should be considered a crime against humanity.
RIP CAPITAL STEEZ AND MF DOOM
Could you please do a video over Big L, I don't see enough about him or his career. He had bars that made Nas scared. I would really appreciate it, especially with the amount of information you've discovered on DOOM.
That Thom Yorke remix of gazillion ear is wild
I hope one day you can do a mac miller episode
4:23 Rip capital steez. Beat is from vibe ratings. Nice touch ABE.
Yep, the actually song is fire too called sound is vibration by atmosphere. And man I wish steez's music was on Spotify. He rapped on beats from MF DOOM to Jedi Mind Tricks to Jay Z. He would add his personal touches to beats that we're already fire by just his rapping alone.
@@hayate_soe260 True! That whole album from atmosphere has got great beats. He did change the beat a little
He was like the secret character of the Wu Tang Clan to many.
I've never seen a channel that's put effort into documentaries on DOOM than you. I'm honestly surprised you don't do more videos on underground rappers considering that type of content is kinda bare.
I went to a peggy concert and before he came out he was just blasting DOOM’s music
10:35 LONG LIVE STEELO
Dooms idea of anti hero, with a real life connection to his story us pure art
What a nice stream
Algorithm comment/Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas 🎄
that danny brown and p5 kawakami profile pic is fucking amazing
Something about doom that I think is really interesting is how modern he sounded back in the day especially in like 2004 compare a song like All Caps to someone like Lil Wayne at the time it’s such a major difference and it’s so good
Adding to the JPEGMAFIA part: the fact that his artist name is stylized on capital letters, also having a song called ALL CAPS NO SPACES supports this.
Also i've been on Kenny's stream the day DOOM passing was announced, where it was all about the goat.
Bro just raps about food (it's the most beautiful thing I've ever heard)
I would have thought you would have mentioned an episode of Atlanta that was basically a whole MF DOOM tribute
14:45 how are you going to mention WSG 5kg Doom chain from that he reps everywhere. He litterely has Doom hanging round his neck in every IG pic lol.
Mos def also did a video cover of All Caps as tribute to the news of DOOM'S passing
That stella by moore at the beggining really made wanna have a 13 millones woolong flower
literally got pumped when i saw that escape the fate album at the beginning lol
Dying is your latest fashion
That Charming Man 8-bit 😮💨
But what if DOOM is my favorite rapper😳
In an interview he was asked “who inspires you, your attitude, your style, and why?” And he replied with “if it had to be an individual, looking at people’s individuals, it would be me”
S
On the Open Mike Eagle podcast, R.A.P. Ferreira (Milo) says DOOM is his hero. On the opening track of his album Purple Moonlight Pages, he introduces people like DOOM does on Bistro from Madvillainy.
I need that Terry remix please 🙏🏽
kanye also featured on a gazillion ear remix if i remember correctly
he was under the name khan in that remix and also in the red bull interview, he also corrects himself after saying khan
There’s only one beer left
peggy also raps “rip doom through the villain i’m raised” on are u happy?
