When it comes to MF DOOM there’s really no shortage of mysteries and unanswered questions, with DOOM this enigma it’s almost surprising that there exists an artist within his own universe who’s even MORE mysterious than DOOM himself, that person, of course, being Mr Fantastik. Very little is known about this buttery voice MC and there are many people who are theorized to be him but is there any truth to these claims and should we even want to know the truth?

In an interview when someone asked DOOM who the girl singing on Doomsday was, he said it was just some random girl his friend knew who could sing. So it wouldn't surprise me if it was a similar story with someone like Mr Fantastik

@@Brian-rp7dj easily too. There'll never be anything like DOOM anywhere else in music ever, I believe. Ideas so unique and original that I struggle sometimes to comprehend them. When listening to his music, I find myself smiling like an idiot and sometimes laughing so joyfully that I completely forget myself! Who the f*CK is this guy? What was he thinking when wrote this? And his production is so perfect too, that when listening to a DOOM album, one might as well be watching an animated Fantastic 4 - Hip Hop crossover movie! Operation Doomsday? Still my favourite album ever, the skits on there are my favourite of all time! They actually enhance the experience and the narrative. OD is unmatched, not even by Madvillainy, and that album is perfect. DOOM's only competition is himself really. Mind boggling what he does that I believe he is underrated - as beloved and adored as he by those who know. RIP to The Supervillain, he will be missed.

Seems like something he’d do, and would make sense why the persona didn’t show up ever again anywhere else (if it was someone that did music and identified that name… I mean it’s been SO LONG since then you’d think if it was someone in the music industry already it would’ve come up in and interview or something by now
he's really talented for someone who only ever rapped on a few songs.
i think thats what makes it the most cool for me. while, obviously he had separate skill to be able to keep up with DOOM, it makes it seem like DOOM's aura is enough to turn normal people into rap-comic book villains.

the funny thing is that Mr. Fantastik laid one of the illest verses and hooks in rap history on rap snitches, and his parts on antimatter were incredible as well. one of the dopest MC's all of time and we'll never know who he is

This video was put together extremely well to say the least. I really love how you in a sense do give his identity, yet also give great credibility as to why it shouldn’t matter at all. Especially with DOOM getting to live his life normally while he could, while being as famous as he was even if he was still underground. Also that last clip with the $B interview was perfect. All musicians/artists are really just some people out there trying to do them and not have their every move watched and judged.

Mr Fantastik is a cat that just hopped on a track and has some impeccable rhymes. I love the mystery and love that fact.

I honestly kinda like anticlimactic answers like this. I always kinda thought it's wack when people always gotta speculate 'oh, who is x character's parents' in any show or comic we all like. I just think 'can't they just be their own separate person, and have their own unconnected parents?'. And I think that applies here with Mr. Fantastik. He doesn't have to be RZA, or Jay Z, or Rodan, he's just some dude. Some dude with a sick flow and chill voice. The only thing I'd say I want from him is some more songs. He was damn good from what we heard, and it's kinda a shame that talent is gonna go out like a flash in a pan. But if that's not what he wants to do, he's got every right, and probably every reason, not to.
On the broader topic of privacy and what the DOOM mask meant, I personally was really opposed to seeing Daniel's face for the first time, and to a degree I still am. To me, the mask *was* DOOM's face, and it still is. Daniel could be Daniel. Or Viktor Vaughn. Or King Geedorah. Or Zev Love X. Or whoever the hell he wanted to be, and that was Daniel. I think he put it a little harshly, but yeah, at the end of the day, people look to DOOM for the music, and that separation from the mic and the rest of his life was an entirely understandable move from his perspective.
Thank you for mentioning the “character’s parents” thing because you just summed up exactly why I prefer Last Jedi’s “Rey’s parents were nobody” answer.

It makes sense that Mr fantastik is just some dude DOOM grew up with, think about who DOOM's character is based on Dr DOOM and who was Mr fantastic to Dr DOOM someone Dr DOOM met before either of them became Mr fantastic or Dr DOOM it fits perfectly with his entire persona I wouldn't be surprised if they went to school together just like their comic book counterparts who met in university

And what if Mr Fantastik is actually just Mr Fantastik... from Euphon. I think its pretty clear at least that the Mr Fantastik on MF Dooms albums has had his pitch altered alright. If you mess with the pitch on some Euphon songs you can definitely see similarities in some of the songs. Not sayings its definitely this dude, but certainly worth taking a look at.

A little while ago my brother came up to me with this super unique rap duo called "Euphon". this duo only has less than 200 monthly listens on spotify and the duo is with two people named Mr Fantastik and Slim Pikins. You might think the name might just be a coincidence, but if you put some of his songs by his part in one of MF DOOM songs they sound a tiny bit different but MF DOOM could've easily used a voice changer for Mr Fantastik. If you google Euphone Mr Fantastik then you can find a thread talking about it a bit better. Even though it might not be Mr Fantastik this duo deserves some love and attention. Pretty good music

I honestly love the secrecy of it all, I think it really matches with the nature of underground hip-hop

I remember being dissapointed with the album because half of the songs on that album were released on 12 inches years before.
