My daughters told me years later that they hated going in the basement because of that poster. They were deathly afraid of it and never told me because they knew I loved DOOM.
I started listening to MF DOOM in 2016. Since then, I have listened to MF DOOM almost daily and am still surprised by new details that I had overlooked. To me, DOOM is the greatest rapper of all time not because of his lyrics, flow or production but because he has this ability to transport you to a random scenario that he's reciting in a way that's completely unexpected and unfamiliar yet relatable. On a side note, interestingly MF DOOM has gained a cult following in New Delhi, India (where I'm from). From being asked by my friends to put some Drake or Migos instead to DOOM to now having people instantly recognise his flow as soon as it comes on has been very satisfying to watch

when i listen to DOOM it makes me appreciate music the most. DOOM and Dumile are two different people, which means DOOM as a persona is pushed into a world of endless possibility and is allowed to be as creative as he wants. his genius was a push for a lotta people to use music as a way to express their feelings and to be themselves in the mean time. you don’t even gotta put on a show. literally. the DOOM fans know what I mean. I especially got hooked on KMDs history. This got me wanting to find out more about him and his career. Your work is truly appreciated, thanks man.
The best music censorship testimony was Frank Zappa's, what an all around genius. He even made an album out of it: Frank Zappa Meets the Mothers of Prevention. Zappa is sampled on the Meat Grinder song off Madvillainy, possibly the best composer of the 20th century.
@11:06 he has a lyrics in Avalanche where he says ‘Do a show, same time watch it.’ And that is clearly if reference to him being at a show of his where a bot was performing.
Some of the other collaborations that he did that I can remember were with: The Hundreds, Akomplice & Frank 151 During his collaboration with Frank 151, they were giving away free copy’s of the first DOOM book, you just had to pay for shipping. They are also the company that spawned the original MF DOOM ring, which you can tell if it’s real by looking for the Frank151 logo engraved on the inside. He also did that short video with Adidas of him painting graffiti, around the time Keys To The Kuffs came out; which didn’t produce any clothing or shoes, but is still technically a collaboration.
He was put on ACE inhibitors for hypertension with renal complications. He suffered a pulmonary edema as a side effect. Usually easy to treat, but because hospital staff was tied up with covid, he was left to suffocate

Okay y’all can’t tell me you haven’t seen DOOM Christmas special. Swear that should be higher on the iceberg 😅
@Dylan Miller Ho....................Ho Ho!
Dog that’s what’s I’m fucking saying that shit was da bomb!
No I didn’t click on this because he’s an enigmatic artist, I clicked because you kept popping up on my recommended
what a sick ass tribute to the Villain. RIP MF DOOM
Actually getting to see doom aged without his mask brought shivers down my spine.
all caps.
Came for MF DOOM, stayed for the Bully OST & Cowboy Bebop background music.
Edit: and the GOD DAMN WII MUSIC HELL YEAH
First time seeing any of your work. Very well done!
I've been a fan of DOOM, for 20ish years now. You seem to do good research! I'm looking forward to seeing your other videos about him..
It's cool to find others out there. With such an appreciation, for a truly great artist.
I need to catch up on MF DOOM lore so this channel is perfect. Looking forward to more videos!
"IT'S REALLY ME"
*still can't see his face* 😂
I love the music references in the title cards there’s so many good ones that I’m sure go unnoticed but if you know you know
I don't know why anybody would think 10:17 is cringy that man was spitting bars
I respect you for playing ATTACK ON TITAN at the begining
And cowboy bebop too? Weeb confirmed
anyone what version he's using at around 1:37
Love your videos on MF DOOM but also when I heard bioshock infinite sounds holy shit that felt good to hear
Thats really interesting about the madvillain cover. When my 4 year-old first saw it she was immediatly transfixed by it and to this day, will randomly bring up "that singer with the mask"
when i listen to DOOM it makes me appreciate music the most. RIP2DOOM 🕊
This is amazing, I’ve been listening to DOOM, Madvillain, Dangerdoom and more stuff of him for a while now but I’ve never really paid enough attention to him as a person and his (non Spotify) Music history. I especially got hooked on KMDs history. This got me wanting to find out more about him and his career. Your work is truly appreciated, thanks man.
I also joined your discord!! :)
The phrase "your favorite rapper's favorite rapper is a credit that belongs solely to Styles P of the lox (que ruff ryders ride or die snippet here)
The best music censorship testimony was Frank Zappa's, what an all around genius.
I love you're using the bully soundtrack for the intro bringing all my favorite things together
14:17 I swear DOOM is a living cartoon character
Some of the other collaborations that he did that I can remember were with:
The Hundreds, Akomplice & Frank 151
During his collaboration with Frank 151, they were giving away free copy’s of the first DOOM book, you just had to pay for shipping.
"Meme is pretty old... comes from 2016" you just made me feel older than I've ever felt before
Glad to help you with this iceberg making stream.
I’m excited as to what lurks at the bottom of the iceberg😁
the “you wanna hear a song we just did it’s not finished” is Tyler sampling DOOM🤯
If you understood DOOM, you didn't mind them bots. You were actually surprised so many people could rap almost exactly like him lol
That bully scholarship music at the end though🤌🏿
That last little bit at the end of the video instantly convinced me you're a good creator lmao. I'm joining the server
u didnt explain how DOOM could hold heat while preaching non violence
but where the discord at tho?
even I am puzzled by how he does that 🤔
@@PLAN-Z_KO check again.
@@AnAbsurdExistence Shooting at a range maybe? Collecting guns for fun but not using them for any kind of violence?
In my opinion self defense is nonviolent, you don’t agree with it or stand for it but at the end of the day you gotta make sure you’re coming home
"From the womb to the tomb"... gotta love DOOM!
Bars... Seriously though, needs to be put on a shirt!
The 8 bit-melody coupled with the KMD intro was slick. I see what you did❤ there
Appreciate the royalty free music Eric Andre uses for his "we'll be right back" clips
DOOM is still one of my favorite artists to this day. Thank you for this video. I never knew much about him except that I liked his music.
I'm a Dane, and I've never heard about this rapper, and I never hear rap music or hiphop..... but I always enjoy broadening my world. Nice vid bro.
Thanks for making this, dude. Miss DOOM every day. Videos like this are nice reminders of just how important he was.
Glad more DOOM content is coming out. Sad this is what it took.
He was put on ACE inhibitors for hypertension with renal complications. He suffered a pulmonary edema as a side effect. Usually easy to treat, but because hospital staff was tied up with covid, he was left to suffocate
