In my opinion the best dive instructor would be hearing impaired, by far, more natural for us. My daughter can feel the noise vibration of me tapping on my tank in the water. Pretty cool.

i bought this product and it does makes the difference. but recently i switch to dive light but still in deep waters i use sometimes the combo the snorkel filter with dive light

Hi Mic, I have noticed that when you've put the filter and you were explaining things underwater, the behind-above you was redish, as one would expect when using a red filter and pointing to the surface. But at about 4:56 you show some coral and fish and we can see the surface behind and there's no red tint. Was it color corrected/graded on postproduction? Or this filter doesn't red tint when pointed to the surface? Thank you in advance for the info!
I’m so glad to have come across your video. I use to live out in Micronesia back in the day and we had one of the first, consumer grade, underwater film cameras. But man of man, the pictures were all washed out and near colorless…despite the MAGNIFICENT colors of the coral reefs! It was such a shame to not be able to capture the colors of the beautiful ecosystems. However, I’m planning on head back there before to long and I’ll have to pick up these filters for my trip. So thanks! This was helpful at seeing the differences. Cheers

Aloha Mic, I used the Polarpro Divemaster filters with my GoPro8 today at Mala. Used the red filter, since diving around 20 ft or more. Vids came out so perfect. My instructor used a GoPro9 with no filter. The filter really makes a difference to get perfect videos. Its true!. Get over to Mala to do some diving soon. You will totally enjoy! Maybe best shore dive on Maui.
Just bought the 9 plus the filters. This is my first go pro. Taking it on a dive trip what settings do you recommend. Will be in fresh and salt . Thank you
Genuine question. Wouldn't you get the same results by locking the white balance and then editing the colour later? That's how I've always done it. Am I missing out on something here?

Question, are you sure your housing is a supersuit? Or could it be the Protective Housing? Gopro sells them as different products, no idea what the difference is, but the Supersuit requires the front lense to be removed from the Gopro itself. It doesn't look like you did that here. Want to make sure I get the correct combination of stuff so it fits lol
GREAT video! What video settings (including Protune) would you recommend for diving 60ft+ with a red PolarPro filter PLUS little to no editing after shooting?
I got these filters from the GoPro's website and they are nowhere near as good as the original gopro filters made for hero 7,6,5,4 cameras. They do bring the red color back but in sunny days you get a washed out red image instead of a colorful one. the light creates glare when hitting the polarpro filters whereas the original gopro filters let the light through and keep the clear colors. now gopro does not make filters for the hero 9, but instead sells the polarpro ones. why are we not left the option to choose which brand we like? PS. great review, always very informative.
I'm curious, in your side by side comparisons of 'No Filter' and 'Snorkel Filter' the shots are identical (same framing and fish in exact same spots). So you obviously didn't use the filter or vice versa for these shots. The 'filter' we're seeing must be a post-production filter. If you can achieve those results in post-production, then why do I need the filter?
