I have to go to war with squirrels in the fall for 4 months. No thank you. The pain from seeing 12 new holes in your brand new lawn every morning you wake up is like being kicked in the 🥜s
My soil is compacted and dry. Aerator drops in 2" at most. Aside from watering, do you have any tips for adding nutrients back into the soil? Noticed in the video that you brought in soil, however is that the only way to recover your lawn? Any feedback would help, thank you.
Im in Zone 6B/7A soil temps have been a solid 50° and warming Ive put down some KBG w/ PRG, yesterday actually, i keep HOC at about 5/ without catching clippings, would i be good to mow to keep tidy and low for light and heat to the seed
You should check out my series “No Gimmicks Lawn Care” if you are thinking of tackling it yourself. But you do have the KING in your city my man Polo Fields Lawn Service. You NEED to check out his channel for content specific for your area! 🌱
Just came across your channel and excited to see you're in Germany! I'm here as well and trying to get an idea of the differences (e.g. pre-emergent's not really being a thing here). Would you happen to have a cool season plan developed for here that you would be willing to share? Thanks and I look forward to more content! 👍🏼
Great video! I’m here to attest that I reside in the Transition Zone (Northern VA) and would not attempt a lawn Renovation in the Spring. I’ve renovated my rear lawn last fall, to include installing Sod in an area near my tree line that struggled and the results were successful. The only thing I’m dealing with now is weeds because I did not apply any pre emergents. However, I’ve been just hand-pulling most of the weeds so it’s not the end of the world 😮. Keep up the great content, it’s very interesting and informative!
Great tips. See how it goes for me since I’m about to reseed the second area of my backyard. Reseeded in mid January and grass sprouted nicely. (Marathon I grass , Los Angeles )
I think I'm going to try a "cover crop" of annual rye over freshly leveled soil on my 55'X20' sports court this spring, then during summer relevel and smooth with sand, so that once temps first come down end of summer and fall I can do a final kill off and replant with Bent grass and finally get on it with my Hudson Star reel mow
Yes, extended periods of humid, rainy, and or cloudy weather most any time of the year when temperatures are above 50°F Bermuda can be susceptible to lithium blight. But it's worth mentioning that you wouldn't seed a Bermuda lawn in the spring.
Not saying they don't or couldn't but seeding a warm-season lawn is best done in LATE Spring or Early Summer if you're in the transition zone or cool season land.
This just relieved the pressure I was putting on myself to deal with my lawn It’s not a good time to address it but it really needs to be done But now I know it’s also not a good time to address it in nature which tells me to leave alone and make the best of it until later this year
Yep, spring is not the best time for Renovations for COOL Season Lawns. Now for WARM Season lawns Late Spring or early summer is actually a great time for it.

I’m going to be thatching my lawn this Saturday I’m trying to get ahead of the weeds that’s coming 😢but anyway we💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾✨
Do you really need to dethatch your lawn?
@@TurfTherapy it has never been done before
I'm in the transition zone (VA). I aerated seeded and fertilized in the fall. Could i do a lite compost in early spring?
You can but may I ask why? Emphasizing the “light” compost fits into the third tip I gave in my last video a few days ago.
I need therapy! My, new to me, lawn in Louisville, KY is horrible and I just can't stand it!

Thank You!!!! 💪🏾🌱
@@TurfTherapy Is Bermuda also likely to be affected by pythium in the spring?

I must’ve misunderstood something then…
Cool Season Vs Warm Season.
