Ok, had to pop back on here. I watched this video yesterday. So this morning, I wanted to make biscuits and gravy for brunch.
I keep some sticks of butter in the freezer so I can just use a box grater on the frozen butter needed. It can get to be time consuming so I thought.... I'm just going to try this recipe as it seemed much simpler lol.
These turned out to be one of the best biscuits I've ever tasted!!!
I'll be leaving the frozen butter for pie dough in the future! Lol.
Where have these been my whole life??? Special thanks to your viewer that sent you the recipe! And extra thanks to you for sharing!

My mom has always made these. She uses a little more mayo so it is a sticky dough. She scoops them into a cupcake pan and bakes them that way. We have always called them rolls instead of biscuits. Occasionally she will mix shredded cheese in and brush them with garlic butter like Red Lobster. Yum! I just recently found your channel. We are from GA too. Not to far from you. Have a good weekend! 😊

I've been making them since I was 14, (31 years).
I found the recipe in my Southern Living Cookbook.
I love mayo biscuits and muffins. I sometimes just pour the whole recipe in an iron skillet and bake. It comes out super fluffy and tender.
They're easy to make and delicious.
Great with tomato or sausage gravy.
I live in Alabama so we have Bama mayo, apple and grape jelly.
Bama's the best tasting mayo, IMO.

I really appreciate your channel i was born & raised in the south my family moved us to the north and i decided recently to move back home to the south. Over the years i lost some of the things that my mom and dad taught me and my sister how to cook and prepare when it comes to food because living in the north it was convenient to eat from homemade restaurants so since im in the south I've noticed that eating out isn't practical and sometimes unhealthy so your channel has really brought back memories and shown me how to cook for myself and prepare my meals more healthier. Thanks you so much and i would love to see a video of you preparing and cooking some of the fresh fish that your husband catches.

Miss Tammy my mother made these biscuits all my life, and her mother before her. They would make up the dough and put it in greased muffin pans. They didn't use the sugar in theirs. They just spooned the wet dough into the muffin cups and baked them. Wonderful results and so much easier. We call them mayo muffins. Hope you try it this way. Jill

Hi Tammy! This is a new one for us, but I knew the biscuits were gonna be good or you wouldn't have made them! I've not had a biscuit dough be this consistency but it gave me the perfect chance to use a couple of vintage Lodge cast iron biscuit pans that I'd not used recently. I used an ice cream scoop to portion out the dough more like a drop biscuit. The biscuits came out great! Will try them in an iron skillet like you used next time just to compare the two methods but you know with my crew there will never be any leftovers!! Thanks for sharing this recipe from one of your viewers...definitely a thumbs up! And, thank you for another video!!

You brighten my day. I love to see a sister who enjoys cooking and making food with love and truly enjoying the process Even selecting a plate that best displays it. When I cook for my friend ends which is my greatest joy. I use set my table with different plates for different things to make itvappetizing, I have many dishes and enjoy using my thing. My friends often make comments that a paper plate would be fine, or a comment about dishes etc. I don’t allow anyone to help with dishes I do them after they leave. It’s evidentially becoming a lost art which is sad. It warms my heart watch you truly enjoy what your doing, I really can’t connected with that. Wish I was your neighbor. My gramma made mayonnaise biscuits, the recipe died with her unfortunately. It’s not easily found on internet either. Maybe now it is, it her recipe I think only had three ingredients. Thanks

    1 Cup Milk
Mix well, will be a soft dough, using floured hands form 3 inch balls of dough, and plac in skillet. There's enough dough to fill skillet with biscuits! Bake as directed 🌟above!!
I use an empty mayonnaise jar to mix the milk, sugar, mayonnaise and butter!! Just shake well!!😉

Really good with home made mayo. Making me so hungry. Lol depression Era recipie. My grandmother and Mom made these. And I think she made a biscuit everyday for as long as I remember. And corn bread and Grandpa would always eat corn bread and butter milk after supper out of a glass. 5AM every morning she was up cooking. The smell of bacon and biscuits and coffee would get your young tail up. Promise.

Ok, just took mine out of the oven. They didn’t rise as much as yours did. But I didn’t hand roll them either. My bad. BUT, they were a lot better than the last ones I made. They did rise more and were flaky and oh so good. So I wouldn’t call them a total failure. Oh, and I did use mayo that had garlic, but I guess there was so little of it, I couldn’t taste it at all. So, next time I will hand roll them like you did. Now I want to make sone gravy to go on top of them. That I know how to do!! Thanks so much for posting this recipe!

My mom's friend taught us to make mayonnaise biscuits. I think she only used self-rising flour & mayonnaise, but maybe milk too. I don't remember if she used Miracle Whip or real mayonnaise. She used them for strawberry shortcake by adding sugar, but when used as regular biscuits she didn't add sugar.

Duke's Mayonnaise has a similar biscuit with just mayo milk + self rising flour: a classic drop style biscuit---terrific modification of pinch + pat biscuits. (Sounds like a "spicy" name for them) White Lilly is absolutely the best biscuit making flour. A perfect biscuit is sublime, and WL Flour delivers the tenderest crumb. I rarely buy self rising as I prefer regular flour to add necessary ratios of soda/powder/salt as needed.
