Beautiful image. You have gained a new subscriber from Mexico. I have only been taking panoramas of the Milky Way for a few months. Mine are deep space images but I fell in love with the panoramas of the Milky Way. I am still learning about the whole processing since I see that it must be done in LR and PS and I am more proficient with PixInsight so I am still struggling to process my panoramas. I recently got my first winter panorama of the Milky Way and I agree with you: I like the winter one better than the summer one. My problem is being able to highlight the Ha nebulas, especially the Bernard Loop. Would it be too much to ask if you could help us with a tutorial on how you process your images? If I have to pay to have access to them, just tell me where I deposit my money please =). I would like to reduce my learning curve, that is why I have the processing tutorial. My camera is also astro-modified and I see that I basically have the same equipment as you and I have access to Bortle 2 sky although not the knowledge to process ='(. A hug and clear skies.
With this shot. How many sky shot did you have to stack to get the nebula to come out? I’ve try with my modded camera and they just didn’t come out as well.
Incredible image as always John, I have a location already picked out for the weekend to capture Orion, and the Gum nebula in a Panorama. We really are lucky in the Southern Hemisphere to get this kind of shot. Thanks for sharing your adventure taking this shot.
