Stunning image John. Always love seeing your process, even if you do have to get your feet wet. Looks like you gave that new Sigma 24mm art a workout on this trip too. Well done mate.
Soggy John hits it out of the park! I absolutely love this image. Haven't been up that way in over a decade, forget just how magic it is. Looking forward to the next instalment.
What an image John!! I totally agree with you that, these images are even more stunning if they are taken from a symbolic place, that is my goal here with the Basque Country landscapes. Time is the major constraint at the moment though…
This has to be one of your best images. I also appreciate your choice of background music. Being a rock / metal music fan it really ticks all the boxes....long may you continue 👍
I truly admire your dedication and skill to spend an entire night to capture one single image. But man, what an image. It's breathtakingly beautiful with quality second to none. I've seen a lot of your work but this would have to be your masterpiece. Thanks for sharing it's creation. Levin.
An absolute gem John, I don't know how I missed the video. Menindee Lakes is an incredible spot, a couple of us ducked over there some time back for astro and as usual with these things, sunset was good 🤣. Australian outback is hard to beat! Thanks for another fabulous video 😁
Your work is truly amazing and your videos are such a pleasure to watch - highlight is coming home to discover you have uploaded a new video to watch. Thanks for sharing and keep it up !!!!
Nice work John ...... I almost feel like I've been to that location! 😎 Your foreground is very crisp and the sky is excellent. Can't wait to see the images ....... just had a look on FB and I like the video images better. The weeds are so sharp and the sky is full of detail. I wonder where the next adventure will take you? 🏆😁👍
Brilliant image and great story telling. The drone footage and out of car footage just sets the scene so well. What a magic place but I cannot imagine how hard that journey must have been for Bourke and Wills. And the number of snakes might keep some of the tourists away!! 🤣🤣 Well done John
You lost me at snakes, and I grew up in an area known for rattlesnakes - it was even our high-school mascot. I would have had two layers of pants, cowboy boots and Kevlar gaiters on. And I would not have gone anywhere near the water...in the dark no less. Incredible image as always. You are dedicated to your craft.
Well your considerable efforts certainly paid off, John! What an absolutely stunning image; the Zodiacal Light is perfectly framed and so gloriously ethereal. Awesome. Glad you opted to bin the thongs for the boots out there in snake country 🤣. Beautifully produced video too - love the drone footage. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks mate! 👍 it's not often I ditch the thongs but I was genuinely concerned! Thanks for the feedback, I'm slowly trying to up the video production 😀
Stunning image John, and the zodiacal light draws the eye nicely into the frame👌. So many times I've scouted a location in the daylight thinking I'll easily find it again but everything looks so different at night 😅
The more I watch your videos, the more I want to go to Australia to do some astro... The only thing that scares me is the amount of poisonous animals that live there 😂 Anyways, another fantastic video, another fantastic image and another great story behind it.
Awesome pano Jhon!🙌 I'm wondering where I can get an astromod camera in Australia? I think Spencers is too far for me in Southeast Asia, I mean it will cost more for shipping.
There is one company that does it in Australia called camera clinic in Melbourne, but you have to ask yourself why I send my cameras to the USA when there is a shop that does it here...
Another fantastic photo! 2 questions if you have time: I couldn't quite catch your comment about the foreground - did you stack 4 photos of each panel, or adjust between them to ensure all parts were in focus? Secondly, what is the tripod you're using? At least the carbon should handle salt lakes better than metal!😂
Very nice. I've really enjoyed this video. Dang what a picture you managed to capture. Superinspirational stuff. Im glad I stumbled over your channel. Greetings from Norway. Btw. Cool music! Epidemic?
Stunning image John. Always love seeing your process, even if you do have to get your feet wet. Looks like you gave that new Sigma 24mm art a workout on this trip too. Well done mate.
Thanks mate! Time for some dusty landscapes now I think! I'm done with water for now 🤣
That's a real beauty. Always look forward to your videos. top notch 😎
Thankyou, I appreciate you tuning in when I put something out 🙏
Simply fantasticccc panorama, thanks for sharing John 👏🤩
Thanks mate 👍
Epic! with some nice zodiacal light. truely masterful
Cheers mate, I appreciate that 👍
Amazing pano and the combination of an historical spot and the nightsky is gorgeous
Thanks Kevin 👍 this one might make it onto my office wall
Soggy John hits it out of the park! I absolutely love this image. Haven't been up that way in over a decade, forget just how magic it is. Looking forward to the next instalment.
🤣🤣🤣 thanks mate! It's definitely worth a visit again! With the water at its current level it sets up perfect
Amazing. Thanks for another great video John.
Another awesome image John, well getting out the gumboots
Thanks mate, but I think I'm done with the boots for a while now 🤣
What an image John!! I totally agree with you that, these images are even more stunning if they are taken from a symbolic place, that is my goal here with the Basque Country landscapes. Time is the major constraint at the moment though…
Thanks mate, I really love having a story behind an image! I can relate to time constraints, sometimes photography just takes a back seat to real life
Hi, it's always a pleasure to watch videos from Reunion Island.
Thanks mate, really appreciate that.
Sick image mate - what a spot!!!!
Thanks mate, it's definitely a cool spot with so much potential 👍
Thoroughly enjoyed the video again. What an awesome location, adventure and final result 👌. Love the music also!

This has to be one of your best images. I also appreciate your choice of background music. Being a rock / metal music fan it really ticks all the boxes....long may you continue 👍
Thanks Alan 👍 gotta have a good beat to go along with the adventure! Cheers mate 🍻

Thanks so much mate, it definitely takes alot of work in the field to get these types of images,
An absolute gem John, I don't know how I missed the video. Menindee Lakes is an incredible spot, a couple of us ducked over there some time back for astro and as usual with these things, sunset was good 🤣. Australian outback is hard to beat! Thanks for another fabulous video 😁
Thanks David 👍 it is incredible out there and hard to beat! Hope you got some good images in your time there
Fabulous John, so much work goes in to your images and the result shows it.
Thankyou! A lot of work at the cost of multiple compositions, not sure it's the best strategy sometimes tho
Your work is truly amazing and your videos are such a pleasure to watch - highlight is coming home to discover you have uploaded a new video to watch. Thanks for sharing and keep it up !!!!
Thanks for the kind words Judy 🙏 I really appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed it
I liked the intro John gives a sense of feeling and history about the place makes your final image more pertinent 👏👏👏
Thanks carl 👍 really appreciate that mate, the history of the place is a big part of the image for me.

Thanks Geoff 👍I'm sure it looks very familiar 😉 it's very hard to have consistent results over different platforms, they all look different.
Absolutely stunning mate, you have so many pano belters but this must be right up there as one of your best
Thanks mate! Really appreciate that. It ranks up there for me mainly because of the history of the place
Brilliant image and great story telling. The drone footage and out of car footage just sets the scene so well. What a magic place but I cannot imagine how hard that journey must have been for Bourke and Wills. And the number of snakes might keep some of the tourists away!! 🤣🤣 Well done John
Thanks mate, I appreciate that 👍, I can't even imagine how it would of been for the explorers, pushing on into the unknown!
Great Video and astunning Image.. I have been there where Ihave struggled to find the location under the stars and in my Gum boots too!
Thanks mate! From now on, I'm gona put a pin on maps in my phone 🤣
thats awesome..........amazing....the only thing that worries me is snakes and I am not there...lol
Haha thanks mate! Wel I was definitely worried, had to swap out the flip flops for boots I was that worried, I saw some big browns on that trip
Wowser - great work John!
Thanks mate 👍

Hahaha I was a bit concerned..... enough to swap the flip flops for boots 🤣.
Thanks mate, I appreciate it

Stunning image John, and the zodiacal light draws the eye nicely into the frame👌. So many times I've scouted a location in the daylight thinking I'll easily find it again but everything looks so different at night 😅
Thanks mate 👍 I've since learned to pin locations in my phone so I can find them again, I almost gave up and went home 🤣🤣
The more I watch your videos, the more I want to go to Australia to do some astro... The only thing that scares me is the amount of poisonous animals that live there 😂
Anyways, another fantastic video, another fantastic image and another great story behind it.
Hahaha get on a plane and get over here! Il look after you. I havnt been bitten by anything yet... in my flip flops
is this the Visible + Ha mod??
do you prefer it to the full spectrum mod?
Yes it's just visible plus h-alpha, I do prefer it over full spectrum for sure
Awesome pano Jhon!🙌 I'm wondering where I can get an astromod camera in Australia? I think Spencers is too far for me in Southeast Asia, I mean it will cost more for shipping.

Thanks Mark 👍 I did a focus stack, so I took 4 images per panel at different focus points to get everything in focus.
The tripod is an artcise c90
Thanks for the response John. I didn’t realise one could successfully stack photos with different focal points. Your photo proves that it works!👍
you're not bad at this :)
Haha thankyou ☺️
Very nice. I've really enjoyed this video.
Dang what a picture you managed to capture. Superinspirational stuff.
Im glad I stumbled over your channel.
Greetings from Norway.
Btw. Cool music! Epidemic?
Thanks mate, 👍 thanks for checking it out, I appreciate it. All my music and sounds come from Artlist.
