The Bose S1 Pro is my favourite busking amplifier, and now it has been refreshed. What's the same, and what's different about the new Bose S1 Pro Plus (or S1 Pro+)?
P.S.: The noise reduction filter is the "Expander" setting. You can actually turn that off!

The S1 Pro has 3 channels not just 2. The third one (aux) has a mini-jack input. I use it with my ME-90 Boss fx pedal, leaving the other 2 channels free.
very helpful and informative ~ 🙏
Very informative, thank you. I just ordered the original not the plus. I p l an on plugging in my little Yamaha reface mini keybord and a Roland HandSonic for a kit. I hope I made the right choice.
Can't go wrong with a Bose S1 Pro!
@guitarstreet I'm excited to get it. Couple more days.
Great video and way of explaining even for a beginner 😎
Thank you Anna!
Excellent review and feedback. Your video sold me on this for performance and music.
Glad I could help!
Bose s1 pro plus VS. Everse 8??
Do you know if Boss has fixed the ducking effect that you mentioned at the end of this video?
It’s not a big issue.. turning off the expander setting does help
Wondering if u can power off/on the s1pro+ with the remote app. Any idea?
No but there is a “Low power standby” setting that you can turn on. Otherwise, you can mute the channels. It should not take up a lot of battery life. Is that your concern?
For classical singing i should buy which one of them ?
Both will work great
Hello, i want to ask you if the noise reduction feature is disabled when i plug in a mixer. I’ve purchased a similar speaker from another brand and it cut everythin below a certain level, reverbs tales from mi mixer are cutted for example, very quite playing too.
It can be on or off, you can choose how you want to set it.
The Bose expander setting is quite good, but yes, it can cut off some reverb tail prematurely. You may notice it if the environment is very quiet.
As of now, do you prefer this over the Everse 8? That ducking effect seems like a deal breaker. Has it been fixed?
Yes I prefer the Bose. The ducking effect is actually the "Expander" setting, which you can turn off! So yes, no issue with that.
@@guitarstreet Glad you said that! I went to GC and played with Everse and Bose side by side. With EQ, you can make the Everse sound really good. It is a lot louder and more powerful than Bose BUT with all the noodling, I couldn’t quite get to the Bose sweetness.
I’m a very percussive player with looping and use my acoustic as a drum. I had to EQ the Bose just right so the speaker wouldn’t pop. It was super frustrating. When I would hit the guitar I noticed the sound cutting out and I was like, “what a piece of trash!” Lol!!! That is when I discovered the setting on the back and it stopped doing it. If I would not have seen that setting, I would have bought the Everse. They need to just call the setting “ducking”. I was just curious and changed the setting to see what it did. I bet a LOT of people end up not buying it because they don’t know. The Bose RUclips demo doesn’t even mention it!
I have a SP1 pro and an SP1 pro+ . I want to use them as a Stereo output from my IPAD. It seem's they are not compatible!! (Bose connect and Bose music) Do you have a solution? regards Werner
Yes, they are not compatible and cannot be linked, as far as I know. Sell the S1 Pro and buy another S1 Pro+!
Thanks for your answer
@@wernermeier6993 You could use a splitter cable and send left output to s1pro and right to s1pro +.
No mids no delay and the reverb no good. The app no good. And only 1 xlr out for guitar so u need a y cable . No control for backing tracks. Come on bose pick ya game up.
