Great vid. On my 06 ES 330, when I took the green heating pad off, I noticed it was connected to cushion with tiny red plastic connectors that were "H" shaped. Much like the the plastic that used to connect price tags to clothes, except these were much smaller in diameter, almost thread like. I can tell they were fastened with some sort of gun. I had to cut them to remove cushion as I replaced the cushion, can you tell me how to affix the heater pad back to the cushion so that it will be tight and wrinkle-free? thanks

Thanks for the this detailed video. From my experience with my 2004 GS300 - YOU MUST MUST MUST REMOVE THE SEAT FROM THE CAR. First, take the headrest off of the seat, disconnect everything attached as shown in this video and then take the seat out to work on it elsewhere. There are a TON of hog rings that hold the seat cover to the padded frame beneath. Leave a lots of time to work on things because all those hog rings are a BITCH to get properly attached again!!! Other than that its laborious but rather simple overall.
Thanks for the guide, only issue I encountered was that one of the screws for the large plastic trim on the around the bottom of the seat could only be removed with a very tiny right angle adapter which I didn't have so the large trim was left hanging on during the removal and installation process. I think it was slightly different for me since I have a GS and your car looks like an IS. 😀
This video was helpful, but and it is a big but, it is much more difficult than what the poster conveys. Especially if you have heated seats. The "mat" that is the heated coil under the cover is very delicate and moves around a lot. The "rings" he shows are part of a wire rail system that basically has to be cut in order to get the cover off and then can't easily be put back in. You will get a semi-respectable look without them, but it won't be the nice factory look. I applaud the poster again, but forewarn MOST people will get into this and then be very unhappy as it is a lot of work for a NOT professional finished product.
