Did you ever meet your Uncle John (Korky) Cawthorne's brother? They were identical twins, impossible to tell them apart.

The group of children shown on Pasture Lane opposite Parrington Place could well of been me and my friends. I would be 8 years old and lived in 12 North Row, a tiny house for my parents and their four children. My Grandparents Robert and Lillian Cooke were your garden neighbours and lived in 10 Eston Road. I remember several street lit evenings in Winter when Pasture Lane was covered in compacted snow and ice and all the village kids had a brilliant time sledging down it. Even at that age I pitied the car owners parked up at the road side, there were a lot of collisions! I had a really nostalgic time listening and watching your commentary. Thank you for this. I will pass this on to my parents and maybe Margaret Hardwick, now Margaret Smith.

Your Uncle Geoff is the same age as me and our group spent hours roaming Wilton Estate. Last I heard of him he was living in Stockton and I think he had a pub. I can't understand why he is not on the school photographs. He had an older brother also called Robert who did his national Service in the RAF. I think married one of the Howe sisters and his sister was your mum. Your grandad had an enormous garden where he grew fruit and vegetables. He had a rather racy open top sports car. Lazenby is a very different place now.

Hello Tom, Our Denis told us about your videos and we have spent all morning looking at the ones of Lazenby, Lackenby and Wilton. They are fascinating - you must have done loads of research. Well done!

Hello.. came across your videos whilst looking for old ICI archives.. I’m a Lazenby lad nearing 50 now.. parents still live in the village.. Mams a Frewin and my dads a Buxton (Wilton Village). Firstly thankyou for taking the time to make the films.. I like yourself had an amazing playground as a child growing up in Lazenby.. Secondly have you thought about sharing all your old photos or making copies for those that want them.. and have you any old photos of the Golf course in its early days. I see Phil H every Friday when I call into the green keepers shed and I ask him loads of questions..
    Thanks John

I have a complete history of Lazenby together with a list of people I remember living there in my time there (1947-74) including the Frewins (George, Boston and an older brother and their children, Bernard and his sister. Mr Buxton was the bell ringer and Mr Norman the mole catcher (He was born at High Court Green Farm, now a ruin) Phil must be 80ys now. I'm surprised he is still working but I cam remember the very day he got the job having been a cabin lad at Dormans steelworks. Give him my best wishes.
I can send this information to whoever wants it but I would need an email address. I know that James Herd was interested in it

Ralph Jubilee Norman (the mole catcher) was my great grandad.. think he retired around 1956 to Wilton village and used to do odd jobs and helped Hugh Laurie at the golf club.
