Hello Marie. All the older photos I have are included in the RUclips videos. I can remember the Howes very well. They lived in Mrs Biddolf's old house. When I go back I always call in at Wilton cemetery which brings back so many memories. I do have slides of your Auntie Maureen's wedding which includes a nice photo of your grandmother. I'll look them out. Let me know how I can contact you.

He would definitely have been my great grandad, my grandad was Jack and he like his father and grandfather was a miner untill ill health prevented him from carrying on he then became the porter at the hospital and i believe was known as 'Jack the porter'

Somebody tagged the Eston Mines clip on the 'Save the Eston Hills' Facebook site, enjoyed those but then saw these Lazenby ones as well. You mentioned a Mrs Hardwick - that would be my grandmother, Nancy from 1 chapel st. and then photos of my mother Margaret and Maureen her sister.. Just wondering what other photos you may have that would be of interest? My dad ended up living with his brother at 1 Wilton Green with Jack and Alma Howe (his sister). Please contact me, thank you!

I lived in Wilton village but went to school in Lazenby in the mid sixties. In my class was a girl called Elizabeth Longburn and her family lived either in the garage or opposite. She must be in her early 60s now. The garage was originally built by my grandfather Harry Lister who was previously the blacksmith.

Hi Charly, do you remember the Frewins. my grandmother was Alice Frewin but i cant find any more information about the family. My dad was apparently born in the big house on the corner.

***** I remember several Frewins, Three brothers - George was the youngest and lived in Chapel House (it was in the wood next to the garage) before it was demolished when he moved into the first house in Grange Estate when it was new. I think he had two children. Butch was the nickname of another and the third, whose name I can't remember, lived at 3 Parrington Place and he had three children - Bernard was the oldest (he would be 72 now) and there was another boy and girl. There are still people living in the village who will remember them.
