How dare someone put a thumbs down to our beautiful hard working industry we used to have here in my hometown of Inverclyde! It was ripped away from us!
Great video mate, Loved it!. I grew up in the Glen, as a young boy I was conscious of how the entire community seemed to revolve around the Yards!. You could hear the noises from it echo all around, the sirens for dinner time and at end of shift!. The closest I came to working there was as YOP scheme worker in Scott’s training centre in 1981!. £23.50 per week, WOW!. As long as it got you out on a Saturday night, that’s all that mattered!.
Really really sad to see Scott Lithgow die, i served an apprenticeship at Fergusons in the 70,s and those were the best of times as far as i,m concerned.

I was born in 1977 and it took untill I was 40 before the last massive chunks of the towns history was demolished, 2017
