- The Wildfire S is a very small, reasonably inexpensive Android-powered phone from HTC for T-Mobile USA. It runs Android 2.3.3 with HTC Sense 2.1 on a 600MHz processor (you read that correctly). What's amazing is it's pretty snappy, looks great, feels good in-hand, and does a lot of things that only the expensive, high-end Android-phones do.
In this video we'll unbox this little guy, take a look at what comes with it, and do a hardware walk-around. We'll save software and bench-marking for our next video (so make sure you have subscribed to our video channel so you don't miss it!).

Love this phone
JOE!!!! YOU ARE BACK!!! Thumbs up those who missed you!!!
I've played with this phone some month ago, it is a nice phone, pretty design and quality product for it price! i'd recomment this phone for anyone who wants a budget phone
@JakeRayn The Aria and the Wildfire S are internally the same device, same CPU, same GPU and same amount of ROM, although the Wildfire has slightly more RAM than the Aria had.
Makes sense though when you think about it, the Aria (and the Legend) were mid-range 2010 devices from HTC, the same hardware this year qualifies as entry level. In my view it filters down well enough, it's a more than capable phone for what it is.
I miss small chunky phones
This phone have been here in Denmark a long time!
I actually prefer the menu button first then home button configuration. Maybe because my first android phone was a droid.
Reminds me of the HTC aria, but im sure the specs are a lot better. and the sim card thing is just like blackberry's when i had the 8310
@sitadriver Umm, no. The Wildfire S is the 2011 entry level phone. Then next up Salsa and Cha-Cha, then Desire S, Incredible S and the Sensation.
The original Wildfire was entry level for 2010 yes, but not for the 2011 range ;) duh. HTC have the range filled, and as I said, Wildfire S is the entry level phone for this year.
@c3vzn I'm a student too, but I don't see the big deal. Why not just get an older high end device if you've got to have more? Sprint still sells the Evo don't they? Verizon's still got the Continuum(though oddly they stopped selling the Fascinate a while back)for example. Both of those are going for real cheap but are still capable. The way I see it making low end devices more powerful at an accelerated rate only generates more cost.
That little htc I miss the phone I use to have it but some one still it but I put pass word in it
of course it only got de old sense version because in europe it was launched long time ago
@jameslove888 No Buddy, Galaxy Pop, Fit, and HTC wildfire are entry level. Wildfire S is a premium Level android phone not as top as Galaxy S or S2 or HTC Sensation but its still Fill the Bracket of 12,000 to 15,000 rs ... just Like Defy, Sony Ericssion Xperia Mini Pro and Samsung Ace.
htc is actually my favorite brand, though i must say i hate the mid range devices that they offer,i hate the lag and whatever else but hey u get what u paid for...
Before people start bitching about this phone having a small screen and 'only' a 600Mhz CPU (although clockspeed isn't everything) do remember this is an entry-level HTC device.
Android "chin" :P Love it.
the wildfire s is smaller and different in europe?,
@sitadriver Yeah but the iPhone is a top range smartphone, this is not.
The Ace and the Wildfire S actually use the same CPU, so with a mild overclock this will run at the same speed. Plus, the Ace is a mid-range smartphone, again, this is entry level, and moreover, don't judge a CPU by it's clock speed alone, there are various factors that'll come into play as to how smooth the phone is.
Having used both the Wildfire S and the Ace the Wildfire S is the better buy.
How big is it compared to the original HTC Wildfire?
3;16 Did u also check ur facebook?
LOL watching in 2016 I want a small phone since I got a huge ass phone
i like "hwite"
@TopGear63z Nope.
Hwhite ftw
Looks good in Hwhite
saying t mobile didn't pay you just makes you look more suspicious.
You sound like Seth Rogan
htc chin not android
600 mhz. That's a turn off.
sounds like Seth Rogan lol
No Matter if its entry Level or Not, Android is not as smooth as iOS, So please Dont Buy a Android Smartphone whoose CPU is LESS then 800 MHz . Get Moto DEFY or Samsung ACE.
@sxt20002000 whats hWhite? hahaha jk
its white not Hwhite...so annoying! :P
