  • This is the first part of our best days mudlarking EVER! This is no exaggeration, honestly our minds were blown by the things we found, so we have decided to split the days filming into three to do justice to the incredible things we found!!!! We will put them up alternately with other films between. In this film Kate found so much amazing history and rare gems including items both 300 years old and potentially 400 years old! Come with us for the start of the best mudlarking day ever :)
If you would like to watch us use some of the items we found in miniature crafting, pop over to our second channel `The Miniature World Of Kit + Caboodlers` -

Thank you for taking me on another adventure from my bed 💙 you have no idea how much I appreciate it and the other mudlarkers too. It's like a non stop adventure when I'm in pain it really helps take my mind off things.

I was waiting patiently for you to mention the buckle you found, Kate....but alas, you didn't mention it. Is it from a shoe??...a belt?? I wonder who wore it and where they were going? The history of each item you bring alive, takes us back to a time, multitudes have forgotten, or dismissed. Thank you for waking up that part of history for so many. I appreciate you taking us along on your fabulous journey! I know how difficult it is to video, edit and script it, then put it all together. The hours you dedicate to teaching us about so many different and epic times of the world. Thank you again. xx ❤

Wow! A great day and unique treasures! Congrats to you Kate, on that spectacular metal! The small, plump jar you found Fleur, would be the perfect candidate to copper foil and use as a kitchen pot in one of the doll houses, eh? Kate, when you picked up that bead at twenty one: fifty three on the timeclock, I was surprised and sad that you missed that perfect rectangle-shaped piece of yellow glass, knowing it is one of your favorite colors, but spotting that sweet lace bobbin and family story made up for it. Perhaps you two could use your broken beads to make mosaics for the doll houses, such as a flowerpot or plate for the wall, decorate a dresser, headboard or anything really. Mosaics have been used for eons, so could be used for any era, and they're fun. Loved the lead (mini clock, perfect to make a mold of and mosaic around it?) The horse heads will be very handy and of course, Fleur's standing soldier, completely complete, as you said, even original paint remained. ( :
