Being chronically ill and my body not able to do these things(even though I REALLY want to), I get to live vicariously through you ladies with your videos. Thank you for taking me on another adventure from my bed 💙 you have no idea how much I appreciate it and the other mudlarkers too. It's like a non stop adventure when I'm in pain it really helps take my mind off things.

The beads, this is a language that I speak.
    Purchased,not found,unfortunately.
But I have thousands, and they speak to me,telling stories of trade and desire, and the seeking of a beautiful bauble,in exchange for another thing, equally beautiful.
This is the language of beadfolk.
    You speak it,too.

WOW!!, WOW!!, WOW!!!! What a day, you two had and it's only just begun for us watchers!! So many terrific finds!! I was waiting patiently for you to mention the buckle you found, Kate....but alas, you didn't mention it. Is it from a shoe??...a belt?? I wonder who wore it and where they were going? The history of each item you bring alive, takes us back to a time, multitudes have forgotten, or dismissed. Thank you for waking up that part of history for so many. I appreciate you taking us along on your fabulous journey! I know how difficult it is to video, edit and script it, then put it all together. The hours you dedicate to teaching us about so many different and epic times of the world. Thank you again. xx ❤
PS. Fleur, your hands are so beautiful, do you have a special cream you use? Thanks!
Smoochies and hugs to Mr. Sunny Cat.... and a big "Hello" to Oscar!

Wow! A great day and unique treasures! Congrats to you Kate, on that spectacular metal! The small, plump jar you found Fleur, would be the perfect candidate to copper foil and use as a kitchen pot in one of the doll houses, eh? Kate, when you picked up that bead at twenty one: fifty three on the timeclock, I was surprised and sad that you missed that perfect rectangle-shaped piece of yellow glass, knowing it is one of your favorite colors, but spotting that sweet lace bobbin and family story made up for it. Perhaps you two could use your broken beads to make mosaics for the doll houses, such as a flowerpot or plate for the wall, decorate a dresser, headboard or anything really. Mosaics have been used for eons, so could be used for any era, and they're fun. Loved the lead (mini clock, perfect to make a mold of and mosaic around it?) The horse heads will be very handy and of course, Fleur's standing soldier, completely complete, as you said, even original paint remained. ( :

Glorious treasures! What an amazing day of mud larking. I think about how you find those treasures and save them for how many more hundreds of years? It is so much better to have the actual piece than just a picture of it. People used to throw them away when they had no more use for them. What are we throwing away that people a hundred years from now are going to be thrilled to find? Maybe the hoarders have the right idea. Hah!

Awesome finds, esp. the medal and the Chinese coin! Maybe you can ask a collector about their age and worth. I'd love to know the websites where you do your research on stuff like this. Do you have some go-to web addresses for this? Also, I'd love a behind the scenes video how you clean all your finds. Where do you soak the coins in for example?

🙋‍♀️❤ There's a chance that the silver/ gold Luther piece may have been halved, and used as currency in casual transaction...in the spirit of pieces of 8.
