- Well some days mudlarking are stranger than others. This was one of the strange ones for sure! I can`t really explain the events but you best see for yourselves! Stunning unexpected find!!!

I think the child’s head would look so cute on the potty. The Bovril you found is the tiniest I’ve seen that any of the mudlarks have found. It was so cute.

Oh so close Kate. I really thought you had a head pipe but when you said it wasn't, I was sad for you. But then Mum finds one and can't stop apologising, which is so cute and lovely. You two have the best relationship/bond. Love it ❤️🥰 Yours is out there Kate, I know it.

The African head pipe is superbly modelled, what a treasure of a find. The little leg is wearing leggings which fastened under the foot with elastic. I had some to match my winter coat when I was very small in the 1940s

Adam Gates, the Victorian Mudlark, found one of these African head pipes. The pipe is made to look like a famous fighter from the era.
That is one amazing find! The beautiful detail of that African head is amazing! Broken bottles pieces of beautiful porcelen but I'm always surprised at how beautiful the beads remain! Their little round bodies roll around and around and they stay as beautiful as the day they were created! Amazing finds a great day!

I think you have to use mini-mass, because it’s a homonym of minimus, which is a noun meaning the smallest or least substantial thing.
In Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, Lysander insults Hermia (and particularly her shortness) by saying
“Get you gone, you dwarf,
You minimus of hindering knotgrass made,
You bead, you acorn!”
Any quotation that references both tiny beads and acorns seems PERFECT for Kit and Caboodlers.

One of my 7th great grandfathers arrived in Virginia on a prison transport, sentenced to work 7 years on a tobacco plantation. Maybe some of the 18th century pipes that are sometimes found on the Thames once contained tobacco from fields that he worked in.
those half pipes would make great fridge magnets or wall sconces with plants for the dollhouse. p.s. there might be no tainted history related to the afro haired head. he might be a king of another country! beautiful find!

Wow, that pipe is amazing! You will find one Kate, I am hoping for you! The tiny head with the nightcap is adorable, I think it would look good on the sitting figurine body (the first one).
The large clay “marbles” are actually small clay balls that were part of Five Stone (Alley Gob) sets. The sets came with five gobbies and a ball. The ball was thrown up into the air while the gobbies were snatched up, just like modern day jacks are played.
A lovely heartwarming film. Some great finds. You must have 1001 craft projects. We watch every week, without fail and wish you the best of luck, hunting for those tiny treasures.

Hi! I love that lid with the big flower on it. It would make a good coffee mug lid...to keep your coffee or tea hot... I use something similar but not as cute. Also keeps gnats out
