Someone needs to gather up all the mudlarks and work the Kent/Yorkshire swamplands that King John went through, and the tides swamped his royal entourage, and an entire royal treasure still resides under all the muck of the area. Now that would be a massive mudlarking find and dance party - for sure !

So many finds on another wonderful day at metal beach. All finds were intriguing, though being a rockhound since I was a toddler, my favorite find is the magnificent healing malachite stone that Kate found. Fleur, you need to stitch together (of a natural fabric or soft leather) a small medicine bag to hang around your neck, giving the malachite a place to nestle, taking it out to rub it and periodically rinse it off using water with a scant bit/few grains of sea salt in it (to cleanse and renew it's energetic vibration. Blessings and Much Love to You Both.

When I went to Grafenwoehr Germany in 1975, I found a "bell weight" that was in the mud by a bridge. It was a 2Kg. So you can guess how heavy it was. But I managed to bring to the USA. Now I know I was mudlarking!

I have an idea for the 3 tiny bead/fossils. Start with the littlest one then glue the next littlest one on the bottom of the first one. Then the biggest of them on the bottom. It could be a snowman for the dollhouse. Of course it would need a tiny black hat and a face drawn on it and don't forget the tiny black dots for the buttons on it's belly. Maybe a sewing string for a scarf, ⛄⛄

I just love all the little things you find, especially metal pieces. Mud Bagger (from The Netherlands) found a number 8 too in his post today. He has found several numbers and hopes to eventually make a clock. Under The Surface (from USA) often finds things in concretions too and has been chipping away at a large lump on and off over several months.
I wondered whether the curved oval metal item with fixing holes top and bottom could be a tourist piece to fix to a walking stick/cane to remind them of their holiday.

Good day Kate and Fleur. Fleur, that little "shotgun pellet" you found early on in your exploration looks like a lead split-shot sinker/weight for a fishing line.
What a great find that malachite is for you to come across, Kate.
Greetings from eastern North Carolina, USA. Gail and Alex sent me. 😃
PS: 8 is my favorite number.
Those little bead/fossil/whatever they are, almost, almost remind me of Saint Cuthbert's beads from the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, except they haven't got the little star-shaped center around the hole. This I learned from when Gail and Alex went beach combing there.
