They add it into steel on better quality tools to make it harder, as obviously you want these snips to be made from a harder steel than whatever it is you're trying to cut. I got the version with the slight bend in them so you can cut flush stuff without getting your fingers trapped against the surface. Awesome cutters. Knipex stuff is great gear but really expensive. Have you seen the StepCut coming out in September 21 see UK video of new gear coming out on the Knipex RUclips channel.
Yeah I’ve seen the RUclips video but the step cut are already out I’ve already got a set I will be reviewing them in the near future.Not the biggest fan of them to be honest normal croppers Are better

Cobalt means it's a hard wearing steel as in cobalt drill bits.
