E92 Sunroof Delete Nelson Racing Carbon Fiber Roof Install BMW 328i 335i M3 3-Series Mods

Today we install a sun roof delete carbon fiber roof panel from Nelson Racing Wheel for my friend's E92 335i. It is very lightweight and has a beautiful honey comb pattern. The top center most weight savings allows for faster acceleration and better handling compared to stock sunroof shade. Thanks for watching!

I would've added some material to the underside of that sunroof delete kit, maybe some alcantara so it doesn't look like that from the inside but oh well...

Appreciate this - thinking of doing similar on an e90. When you remove the sunroof cassette, don't you need to put a structural element back in? Looks like there is a center piece called the roof bow on BMW e90/e92 slick tops.

You don’t have to, for weight savings we opted to leave the heavy part off, but you can put the plastic cover slider back on to cover the carbon roof.

Thanks for the comment. It’s actually a custom paint job. I believe it’s a Nissan color.

What type of screws did you use on the rear of the panel?
I'm having issues with water so going to do the same you did with sealant but the screws I have keep popping off 😪

How would you go about adding the cover back on? Isn’t that part of the sunroof assembly u removed?

You might be able to separate it but we through ours away so I can’t confirm.
