I this video we install a RKP carbon fiber roof on the SLG BMW 135i/1M clone. In previous videos we removed the factory steel roof and built a roll cage while the roof was off. From there we prepped the surfaces and glued the roof down using 3M Panel Bonding Adhesive 08116. This adhesive is perfect for bonding carbon to vehicles permanently. Glass was reinstalled like OEM and the rear view mirror even works sweet with the cage. Job almost done!
Keep an eye out for future videos which will include getting this car ready for the road again and the E46 roaring to life!

Roof came out great. Do you have any shots of how it looks from the inside? Did you guys just wipe up any glue that may have seeped out before it dried?

Aren't you gonna lose a load of rigidity? Or do those steel crossbars retain most of it?

The cross bars are what is rigid so no worries. This car is caged so it’s even more rigid as well.
