Cutting the roof off our 2023 G81 M3 Touring! Full Carbon Fiber Roof and Hood Install

- In this video we do what BMW should have from the factory - Give the M3 Touring a full carbon fiber roof!
We take our G81 M3 Touring, give it to Quattro Coachworks who then painstakingly strip the car to the shell and cut out the original steel roof panel ready for the Alpha N Performance full carbo fiber replacement roof panel.
To go along with this we also fit the Alpha N Performance full carbon fiber bonnet to finish off the look.
This was some serious work to complete, but we absolutely love the end result and truly think this is what BMW should have done all along.

This may be one of the most in-depth videos of a carbon roof install. Very few actually show the drilling of the spot welds and the work it takes with the seam splitters and heat gun the remove the stock panel. Nicely done!!!! I’ll be installing the Karbonius carbon roof on my e90 m3 here pretty soon!

You’re correct the labour and materials to paint and fit the roof is more than the carbon panel. Takes about a week start to finish!

Almost 4 years ago I commented on the f81 cs vid saying bmw missed the boat by not making a hot 3 and 5 series wagon. Well here’s the 3 and the 5 is supposedly on the way. How the turntables.

Wow what a huge job but absolutely paid off. Looks awesome. If I had my own one slight change I would make is to see if there was a way to get a flat piece to cover the roof side rails. Sort of like how the e46 m3 estate concept had no roof rails. Enjoyed the video either way. Great stuff.
I know what you mean but with the two ridges on top I think they really compliment the roof rails either side.
The black carbon roof and the carbon scoops in the bonnet really set the colour scheme off on the overall appearance of your magnificent-looking G81 M3. Well done, indeed. I look forward to seeing it in real life at one of the shows. Maybe the NEC Performance and Car Tuning Show ?

The only thing wrong with this build is you need a wiper blade delete on that rear window. They are nothing but glass scratchers first mod I do on every sport wagon lol otherwise you have reached perfection, gentlemen great job!!!
