So Sad to see Heppell go - he will always be remebered by Bomber Fans!! I hope Zach Merrett can step into his shoes and be as much of a leader as he was and hopefully will be as loved by the fans as Heppell always has been by the time he retires too.
Don’t know if it qualifies for a favourite moment, but I still remember the excitement of his first year. Played half back flank, hardly seemed to lose a one-on-one contest and just got better every game. You would watch Essendon games just to watch him. Great video again. We will miss Hep.
One of my friend's favourite possessions is a Dyson Heppel signed tin of baked beans he won in a charity event for the Vanuatu earthquake. Just a genuinely good guy. We'll all miss him...
Absolutely ridiculous he doesn’t get a farewell game at Melbourne. How many supporters do you reckon will turn up to Brisbane when our season’s already over?
Heppell has been playing as long as the Mrs and i have been together. Our first date was to Geelong v Essendon. There was this kid sitting in front of us and everytime Heppell got the ball he'd clap and say his name "Hepppeellll".
I remember last year taking my daughter to essendon training for her birthday. It started raining and every player just bolted inside, didn't acknowledge any of the fans. Hepps came back out in the rain to the crowd and signed and took photos with everyone just to make sure they got something
Well said. Hepp has stuck fat with us through thick and thin. Its a shame we could not reward him with a premiership but unfortunately hes had to contend with a lot of shit players and coaches over the journey. All the very best Hepp and i hope you are able to stay around the club in some capacity. Go Bombers
Pretty foul to not give him a home sendoff in which case, if they made the decision off the back of the belief they can win, they'd better win the next two.
Suggestion box item - can you consider releasing your content to Apple iTunes and other podcast servers so that we can enjoy your show on the same platform we receive our other Essendon podcasts?

Favourite moment with Heppell was his goal with Zach against west coast
A recent one, I like it
Fav Hep moment. That speech he gave the boys in the rooms last year.
He had a few good speeches

He was a star in his first few seasons

Pretty upsetting to think we won’t be able to cheer him on at home again
I loved how good he always was with the little sick kids that came out onto the ground, or maybe just through the week. A real saint.
I hope he gets a role at Essendon. Such a great bloke to have around.
Agreed, could be a great development coach

Lots of kids raised loving Heppell
Well played Dyson,GREAT career.
Great career
I liked him so much when I was younger I got dreadlocks to look like him
Streets won’t forget dreadlock Heppell
Caldwell looks to be pretty pasionate and leads on the field. Should be promoted to VC IMO.
Can see him eventually being a part of that leadership group

He gave more time to us fans than most players I have seen

He really deserved better than what he got from Essendon
Congrats , Felix, that was brilliant !
Cheers mate!
Thanks heaps ❤🖤
An absolute champ and warrier of the EFC. Selfless and indefatigable. All the best Dyson.
The most selfless player I’ve seen
Former captain retires. Club doesn't give him farewell game at home. Well done Essington. Well done.
Not sure if Heppell’s decision or the clubs, but either way I am gutted
@@everythingessendon548 we have a track record of this. Did the same thing to Bellchambers.
I’m sad I want more people like him😢
We need more people like him at the club
❤
Hello thank for amazing awesome vlog could I please be your best friend ever Go Essendon bombers go dons
I can't believe they put Perkins in over Hepp for his last home game...
Can only hope it's a play for a late change.
Can't just gift games. He probably should have finished last year, so he got a farewell 3/4 of a season.
Unfortunately he’s not listed as an emergency, he won’t be playing
Pretty foul to not give him a home sendoff in which case, if they made the decision off the back of the belief they can win, they'd better win the next two.
@@everythingessendon548 do you mean fortunately?
Well done Hepps, but- an end of an era would be nice!
😭😭
Me watching his speech to the boys
@@everythingessendon548 so sad to see an good player retire
I remember when I used to live in essendon, heppells girlfriend accidentally scraped my uncles car 😂
😂

Was looking at ways to do this recently, potentially a podcast rather than each video, we will see
@@everythingessendon548 Would appreciate it.
Great leader & clubman. Sadly his CV reflects the mediocre of Essendon over his whole career.
We needed more characters like him at the club
Hepp probably didn't want his last game to be a thrashing so has decided not to play the last two games
Seemed like a good bloke.Last 3 years set up a bunch of goals,through turnovers.Overdue.
Definitely the right time
