In regards to Keane, rumours fresh out of Adelaide is that he is very unhappy with player management with in the Crows camp and his going back to Ireland isn't for personal reasons but coz he has walked out of the club. Don't be surprised if he isn't at the Crows next year
I agree he's quite likely to leave for a vic based team, but I think it's much more about wanting to live in Melbourne and/or his partner's choice of city and career opportunity. This talk of players being unhappy with player management is just projection from crows fans who are understandably very unhappy with player management.
Fantastic video as usual, certainly would prefer to keep Barrass, I find all this speculation weird, mostly media and I assume player management driven, seems to be earlier and earlier every year. Glad we don't trade like the NRL to be honest. 💙💛🏆🦅
Another interesting video Jesse. I agree with your call on Dan Houston going to Carlton. He was a Carlton supporter before he was drafted and his best mate is/was Jack Silvagni. I think he would see Carlton as a more attractive option than the Dees and he is obviously very conversant with Michael Voss. I actually know Dan and his family pretty well but I haven't prized any info from that source so who knows?
Great video! Turns out the Port offer for Richards is three years, not four. As a Collngwood supporter, given our limited trade hand, I'm keen to try and prise Peatling out of GWS. He's behind a stack of mids at the Giants and would slot into our midfield perfectly, as some of our senior players age out.
Tsatas or hobbs should both look at richmond given their max exodus/retirements. Slot into the mid and build the team rather then being the 4/5th option at the planes -dons fan
Another side note: Hawks Battle offer is reported 850 to 870k when the compensation trigger is at 900k, Saints probably getting a pick 20 instead of a top 10 pick now, which is why they're trying so hard to get him to stay.
Lukosius would fit Melbourne perfectly. I have no idea what he would want but they should do all they can to explore that. Having a full year in the forward line, I would bet on him kicking upwards of 45 goals.
@@Bruce.Wallace Him being a high draft pick is irrelevant. He has played forward less than half of his career and already has three bags of five. I saw Adelaide fans also desperate to not have him but he compares very favourably to Fogarty of Thilthorpe if you care about numbers. He averages more than two goals/game when playing forward. Is there any Melbourne player who can claim that this year?
@spindoctor6385 Where he was drafted is the sole reason why he is spoken about the way he is. Why do you think he can't lock down a starting spot in that forward line, and is constantly tried in different positions. It's not because he is a gun forward. It's because he's flaky and does not meet the demands the coaches put on him. And he would not compare to Fogarty or Thillthrope at all. Luko couldn't take a contested mark if his life depended on it.
@@Bruce.Wallace He has only been played forward in the last two years. He gets moved around because he is a great kick coming out of the backline not to try to hide him away from the forward line, he is used as a utility player. If the comparison is with Fogarty, I would have Lukosius every time. Fogarty has no tank, does not get to enough contests, performs well against poor opposition and goes missing for large parts of nearly every game he plays. Granted that contested marking is not a strength of Lukosius, but that is hardly the be all and end all of being a forward. I think it is only you who is caught up with him being a high draft pick, that was six years ago and is completely irrelevant. It is not as if they would be demanding two high first round picks for him because of what happened six years ago.
as a blues fan, id be surprised if jack martin stayed next year. I would say we either off load him for cheap, delist him or even send him off in a trade for someone else. too injury prone and i think moir is probably our x factor forward for the future. I like jack but again just way to injury prone and we cant rely on him to be heathy
Baker will go. If Bolton goes to Freo, then Baker more likely Eagles. The Eagles need hard nut midfielders that can be physical, so Harley can focus on winning the ball more. Otherwise Baker is going to Freo with their better draft picks.
@@teamcrocd.colella2359 Adam doesn't have much say to be honest. He will do what he's told by the footy director and list manager says. Rioli will go. Baker will. Bolton and Graham are 50/50.
Need Barrass and Battle, Perryman is the cherry on top, but if he wants to be biscuit ass'd about it he can go port, we don't need him and he'd be coming along for the ride really so less concerned about him.
Jack lukosius won't be going to a Melbourne club mate especially not Collingwood, he's an SA boy and he would want to play in South Australia if he leaves, more likely being Port maybe.... because we are playing finals more often than the Crows and also Gold Coast have never played finals ever and he wants to play in finals obviously 👍
DISCLAIMER: I could be absolutely wrong and this is pure speculation, but, I really believe Ryan checked out mentally this year. There were countless instances of him giving up on plays and displaying a shit demeanor and terrible body language. In the Cartlon game, I got a really strong sense he had given up and checked out completely. He then decided not to play the last game due to "personal reasons", I was not surprised in the slightest given what I've observed the past few weeks. I think he's used the "personal reasons" card to not play because he can't be arsed, and genuinely, I feel we'll play better as a result. I reckon he will request a trade or Eagles will want to get rid of him, coz I know I would. Take the draft picks as his value is only going down.
Nah, its speculation. Ryan is the icing on the cake and is an absolute asset in any good team. I don't see any difference in him. And has actually been good at times in the middle to win centre clearances. I reckon he has a family issue in Geraldton as they said. He only got signed on a two year deal about 8 weeks ago. I doubt he will want to leave his family and his partner's family to go for more money in Victoria. Apart from hating cold weather, his links to family in Perth and Geraldton are important to him. He missed a lot of footy in last 18 months with that chronic hamstring injury.
@@BDub2024 with all due respect mate, I flat out disagree. Some of the passages of play hes produced this year have been terrible to watch. Granted, he can provide some great plays (rare this season), his effort and attitude at times are horrific. I don't think hes the icing on our cake, let me put it that way. Getting draft picks for him right now would benefit our club more than keeping him.
@@CsavsRacing777 You're missing my point. He won't want to go anywhere. And if he isn't trying or not playing well, its not because he's checked out. He wants to stay I reckon, but he is lacking hunger at this stage of his career and struggling after significant injury and recuperation. If at a good team he may improve. But I doubt he is motivated by money in Melbourne. And the Eagles did sign him up. That could be part of their plan and then trade him, but he has to agree to go.
@@CsavsRacing777 No one is arguing his attitude or accountability, but its not because he is wanting to leave. Brockman is far worse and he wanted to come to EAgles.
@@BDub2024 Fair points, I did misunderstand. He may not want to go anywhere, and if thats the case, we need to drop him from the seniors when he pulls the crap he has. Our club has become soft and wont go hard on the vets or any of the premiership players, its honestly a joke.
Melb boys are soft. Especially if greek or italian. he'd miss his mama's pasta too much. The club he should consider is Freo, as they're on the up. But its very hard to get those softies to leave. You look at the EAgles and they recruit Vic kids, but they're all country kids usually.

Confirming have heard the same from a reliable source close to Keane

Bailey smith I want at the hawks! We are a better growing club that are developing well and we could use experience!

It’s ridiculous money for a player like Battle. The AFL has gone nuts with the amount average players are paid … 😵
Jack Lukosius to Collingwood would be a good fit.
He’s from SA he won’t come to us unfortunately crows or power will get him
Luko to Adelaide. The only think him meeting with Port means is that he is definitely going, and GC have asked him to look at both sides.
Great vid
Agreed Jacko Grham is 50/50. Last week Richmond has emerged with better deal and I now reckon he'll stay.
Hoping that is the case haha

He's the last guy they would want. Another horribly under-performing forward. How many do they want ??
They took Schache purely cos he was a high draft pick. How did that work out.
