Thank you Adriene to remind us all the true essence of yoga. I started the session with the intension on working superficially on body part's but you gently reminded me why I do yoga... To connect my mind-body-soul, to show self-love and to gain energy. XO

Think of the reasons you are strengthening your core “that aren’t toxic”. I really love how you said that, it made me think about the real reasons I should be doing core workouts and exercising in general. Thank you for starting my day off right and opening my mind.

wow. at the end in reclined cobbler’s pose I put my hands on my stomach and... I wasn’t revolted. I wasn’t ashamed. for the first time in my life, I liked my stomach in all of its softness. I just laid there and cried happy tears for a while.

"Appreciate your body and remember that we can focus on core and booty but we need to remember why, why we're doing it... What are all the ways in which a healthy core supports me that are not toxic, that make me feel good?"
This meant so much to me and reminded me why I watch your videos. I can feel my relationship and trust in my own body is growing.

What I really love about Adriene's videos is that she encourages us to eliminate toxic thought about body image. Yes we may be here to get a bigger bum or abs but she reminds us that it is not all about what our body looks like, but also the importance of being thankful for our bodies appreciating them for how they are.
She also doesn't show off washboard abs or anything like some other fitness/yoga channels on here even though we can tell she had a beautiful slim healthy body. Instead she is encouraging to everyone despite our level of fitness or abilities.
Thank you Adriene for your amazing yoga videos and for helping me feel better and more appreciative of my current body!

I really loved that she focused on how working on your core helps your posture and back instead of the superficial reason on making the torso smaller.
I also found myself enjoying the squats. I went very slowly and with my breath. It felt a bit like a tai chi version of squats instead of torturing myself.

Adriene, thank you for sticking out over the past year. I have been in an insecure state since covid. I have been worrying about my future, working at a job that I did not picture myself in, wanting my body to look sexy, over complicating my next meal, workout, worrying about how I look, etc. My anxiety has gone through the roo! My life is no where near what I want it to be. Today I really wanted to do a HIIT workout, instead I d allowed myself to feel, allowed my self to relax and realize it's ok to take it easy sometimes. I don't need to go to the gym everyday and lift heavy ass weights. All I need is my mat. I want to push myself further, believe in myself more. Your videos, your classes have helped me see hope. They have helped me achieved confidence, strength, flexibility, support, and most importantly self love. I have been on this yoga journey with you since 2018, I have felt a difference in my personality and outlook on life. I feel so loved everytime I roll out my mat; even on the days that feel like crap. I am tearing up as I write this, but the YWA community has helped through hardships, and I can't thank you enough. I have learned to be patient with my self and maybe one day I too will become a Yoga instructor. For now, I will continue on this journey and continue to learn. Gracias por todo y gracias por estar en mi vida loca. Con mucho amor y paz.
    - Sam from Dallas,TX ❤

      Be so gentle with yourself.
Have you heard of the "second arrow"? When we shame (or "should" or "shouldn't" ourselves) we add more suffering.
Just hold space that you say those mean things, and bear witness to it, get curious and from that space it can be released.
I wish you healing and peace 💫

I've had osteoarthritis for decades but this last year I've have found I have stenosis in lower spine and some disk issues. I am ever reminded that yoga works better for me in managing the pain than any other activity I have ever done and I've never lived a sedentary life. Thank you for this important reminder!

For personal reasons, needing a positive mind today, so as a senior yogi I approached this practice with a purpose, peddling through those few chaturangas and loosening up. So I matched your breath and each move Adriene and found my edge and quite easily made it through. I used the neck hammock to enjoy the oblique work at the end 😃👏. I need to add for all the world to see... I started following Adriene about 6 weeks ago. I had gained so much weight and was so so so out of shape. To start I could barely finish, now I add things to work even harder, I’ve lost 15#’s, I’m wearing smaller sizes, I can breathe so much easier, sleep better, the list is never ending. SO... if you think you can’t do it, know that YES you can.

what a great practice - i love that the focus is on what your body can do for you and taking the time to be grateful to your body, rather than doing squats and oblique sit-ups for physique. thank you.

I have been told by my physio that I need to strengthen my core and glutes. This routine has so far been perfect for me. I do it at least once a week along with my regular exercise routines.

Hey power yoga july 2019 buddies!
Today I came to the practice with the intention of powering up my day, and though it worked amazingly, to the end of the practice I started to have self-doudt, but then Adrien's little "let go" at the end of the practice is exactly what I needed in this situation. Thanks Adriene, ready to rock my day ^^

Intention : spark the power within
Power practice but doesn't hurt my soul I love this sequence ❣️ I recently read in a book called How To Make Diseases Disappear by Dr. Rangan Chatterjee (disclaimer : I am not promoting anything I just want to share this book for someone might need to read this too) how important our booty is to our well-being and this session is perfect for that goal of achieving yogi butt 😊 may we elevate to our higher self this day, the highest in me bows to the highest in you
Thank you awesome teacher Adriene, I really admire your ability to do hard core workout while speaking to us your wisdom. You rock 🤘
See you tomorrow beautiful souls 😊
    Namaste🙏🏼

Thank you for speaking on the true nature of yoga. I've struggled my entire life with my self image and the past few years, after having two children back to back, has been the worst. But yoga is always here to remind me of what truly matters, and to respect my body, because it's beautiful and has created life!

This has been a very different experience because when I workout I only focus on how this workout will make me look, but I never think about how it will make me feel. I always leave your sessions with so much energy. Usually when I workout, I leave feeling tired and ready to crash and that should not be how it feels. Thank you!!

Hey Adriene - Love your yoga classes - the big difference is how easy and accessible you make yoga for beginners like me. Its a pleasure rather then a chore to find time to get on the mat and always something new to try.
I'm starting to look at branching out into some other disciplines like Qi Gong as well - but there doesn't seem to be any good youtube channels similar to what you provide for yoga. Do you know any good teachers ? Maybe you could start expanding your channel into other disciplines as well. Like a side channel or special feature classes with experts in other disciplines. You seem to have the format perfected so would be great to grow my personal practices as you grow your channel :)

As many women or men aren't taught to be positive about their body, I appreciate that you do. It's what makes these practices an absolute joy to come to. Our bodies are our physical homes and need to work at optimum and especially during stressful times. Thank you 💞

    I love Yoga with Adriene!
I used to do daily yoga then when I began doing more strenuous workouts, I sort of stopped my yoga practice. Now I'm finding a really great balance with the two.
I've gained so much strength in the last 2 months and I'm slowly developing more confidence as well. This video was great and it just flew by!
Now I'm jumping into a 20 minute Chloe Ting workout! then mayne another more chill yoga flow to stretch afterwards.
I'm the most fit I've ever been and I've done it totally for free and from home with the help of these amazing youtube channels! Namaste❤
