I love your videos. I have my residency in Mexico. Just spent one month in Lena Peru, and now I am in Medellin. i’m floored by the beautiful nature and green velvety colors. I love the rain showers that passed through because that’s what keeps it so beautiful and lush. The people I’ve met so far are very welcoming and kind. To your point about life here I’m well aware of the dangers of living in a larger city, especially in Latin America. Just have to keep your head on straight. My favorite quote recently is this. I’d rather die on my feet than live a full life on my knees. that’s how I feel in the USA.
Medellin offers me the same relief that I feel when I am in other countries as well. Here I don't feel "the weight" and that might be the best thing about this place for me. I always felt that police and societal pressure in the U.S. It's a shame but many people leave the U.S just to go feel welcomed, or to avoid being made to feel unwelcome so often.
You need to travel to Santa Marta. That’s where I was born. If you like to scuba dive it’s an absolute paradise. I’ve scuba dived in many places around the world (Hawaii islands, Mediterranean, etc) and the beaches in Santa Marta are unique and full of life!
I went to Parque Arvi. I went to Don Leandro Coffee Farm in Copacabana, Colombia. Looked down into the city from the mountains was a great view! Keep living there bro. I’m in Houston and it’s like night and day. You hit some key points.
What up Kari? Man, you hit the nail on the head; EXPLORE the city of Medellin, especially for folks that want to live there. I've been visiting for three years now and I NEVER get tired of that place. I don't drink, smoke or do drugs so I'm not in Parque Lleras or on Calle 10 much if at all. I think the cheaper trips for visitors are walking the streets, stopping at the local shops to buy things, stopping at the local restaurants to eat, and taking the metro to different places. Now, I wouldn't recommend doing these things at night UNLESS the visitors are taking an uber to a restaurant or a mall. Also, ensure that the uber is outside or coming up close to you going outside to meet the car. Me encanta Medellin!! I can't wait to get back in November...
@@Global_4_The_Win I was there 27-31 January 2024. I was up in Laureles and loved it. I've been staying in Robledo now (a little north of Laureles) and love it there too. I'm trying to see if I want to stay there, Envigado (more expensive of course), or Sabaneta (a little further away from the main parts of the city).
That bike is a beauty, bro. Just be safe out there. That thing is bad ass. I just got myself an all electric E Moto that hits 65mph, I love the E Motos because i dont have to register it, no gas, no tickets, no issues. Enjoy, bro. Viva columbia!!!
What kind of Visa are you on that you're able to stay there so long? The only two Visas that I know of right now are the digital Nomad Visa which allows you to stay up to 2 years or an investment Visa which I don't have $150,000 invest in a property there
This man’s content is never gonna take off. Videos contradict each other. The obsession with talking about Medellin in a positive light at a time when a lot of people are becoming disillusioned by what travel offers fundamentally after the travel boom right after the pandemic. So many other cities in the world to explore. It’s why content creators like Ace Live or Kurt Caz blow Kari out the water. Kurt showing how people scam him all over the world alone is must see content.
Well, I beg to differ. Kari's content is just like the others, you can take it or leave it. The real is the real; nothing is perfect. There are positives and negatives in life. I've seen Kari talk about scammers, drugs and overall being careful and the like. Just don't watch if you don't like.
The reason why Kurt and ace are bigger is because they started before the pandemic, and travel full time. Kari is an honest RUclipsr who lives a regular life

Every time I go there I feel so alive and euphoric. Coming back to Atlanta though, nothing more depressing .
Oh yes there is. Coming back to Oklahoma 😅

It’s 95% about the women. If Paisa women were just ordinary looking, then Medellín would be unknown to most of the western world.
