I think this fan scenario for a possible Diavolo's Requiem does really tie into this phrase, to the point where he himself would suffer bc life, existence, AND TIME, has no meaning anymore.
It's an interest ending where he "won" the fight, but he didn't "won" the destiny he actually wanted, but one even he couldn't predict, as mighty as he would be, with a requiem stand by his side.

@@cake6851 honestly he could get that ability but the reason he hates the past is because it can lead to your identity being revealed. the identity erasure makes more sense for Diavolo because he wouldn't have to worry about his past. any mistakes he makes is completly forgotten.

I imagine one of Diavolos deaths was him successfully obtaining the requiem arrow, trying to use it, and the arrow failing.
He uses the arrow and then gets a papercut and dies.
He gets the arrow and accidentaly trips and kills himself.

I agree. It seems like requiem stands give the user the exact abilities that they need to fulfill their desires at that moment in time. Silver Chariot was trying to keep the arrow safe, despite being beserserk due to the death of its user. Golden Experience needed the best ability for dealing with the time erasure of King Crimson.
first time I see someone say that, I see lot of speculation of requiem stand as just the same stand but more powerfull, The Hand for example, a lot of people thinks that he would have his left hand make reapear thing he erased but there are tree powers that are far more likely : his ultimate goal at any point in DIU is to kill or cure his father so he could either cure anything or directly erase souls or he could have the perfect counter against Kira wich make the victim give their identity themself to a maximum number of people by any means. The Hand being the stand that i hear the most.
Finally I found a Jojo fan who think Requiem has nothing to do with the original stand ability

It erases the area from the universe completely, as if it never existed. When za hando swipes it erases space and takes it somewhere else, but okuyasu never new. With requiem he can completely wipe the space time continuum from a near infinite range. Which can destroy the universe.
Theory: King Crimson Requiem DID exist, but it's erasure ability was so powerful that it erased the timeline where it existed.

If I had to add a move, myself, to king crimson requiem, it would be "The Court of The Crimson King" in which, just like explained during absolute epitaph, diavolo and king crimson requiem and EVERYONE in a 4 meter radius (Thus teleporting Mista, Trish, Giorno, and A Fading Doppio, to a church...but not just any church, Diavolo and King Crimson Requiem are SURROUNDED by men all wearing cloaks similar to KCR's (My reference? Pause the video go out of RUclips and reopen it, it's legit a galaxy cloak) and Diavolo, in a moment of absolute doubt, asks Requiem what is going on?! King Crimson Requiem tells Diavolo that in his court, anything can be done, should Diavolo will it to be done, he thinks for a moment...before looking at king crimson and asking him to bring back doppio, and give him his own body and stand, thus it is done, doppio fights alongside Diavolo and King Crimson Requiem with his new stand "Broken Dreams" (I might tell you all what Broken Dreams is...if Kaleb replies to this -w-) KILLING mista and giorno and utterly wiping OUT bruno's body so his soul has NO CHANCE of returning to this life! Now the only person left...is trish. Trish and Spice Girl attempt to make a getaway but see that the kings court cannot be broken out of, and just like pandora was in the greek mythos, Trish is sealed away, in the lower levels...of the court...of The Crimson King.
I like this idea actually, if I could draw I would adapt this into an alternate ending for Part 5.

Since requiem gives you your greatest desire I think it would amplify KC's normal abilities and then give him a passive Wonder of U type thing that kills anyone that tries to find him

Now that he has achieved everything he ever wanted and could effortlessly maintain this status, he is in search of new purpose, but as fate repeats itself endlessly and he has seen everything, only void remains.

Then Part 6 happens.

I feel like to fit in with araki's theme of the villains receiving eternal what if when King crimson Requiem asked how far Diavolo would like to see into the future Diavolo becoming cocky and obsessed with his new power says something like "everything I wish to know all so that I and I alone with control fate" and with that said kcr proceeds to show the all of the future however when Diablo said EVERYTHING kcr took it litteraly and proceeded to show diavolo the rest of eternity and he's forever trapped by his own ability. Idk why but I feel like it would be ironic if the very power he wished to obtain in order to destroy his past makes him forever reflect on the future
I don't think that would happen since KCR is Diavolo or is linked to him so KCR would probably understand what he meant and not do that.

I love how, instead of giving him OP killing ability, he pretty much gets an ability to be invisible in plain sight and to see the future as much as he wants. Because, honestly, that is what he would want. I actually can see Diavolo, if that would happen, leaving the mafia and just traveling the world, not really caring about anything ever at all as his ultimate goal was reached. Hell, you could even write that he does just that while the gang thinks that they defeated the boss, whoever he was, and Giorno goes on to become the boss of the mafia. The only issue becomes Pucci since, you know, I doubt that Diavolo would want to get reset so he probably would've yeeted Pucci off the face of the Earth.
Honestly, Araki could've done a good villain to not a villain thing with it.

If Kcr and Ger will fight, that battle will most likely be going forever, since Kcr will always erase time and try to "delete" Giorno, but Ger will always bring his actions to zero, also Kcr with his absolute Epitath will always now what Ger will do, but he can't harm him, so it kind of a tie between them.

I like the fact that you didn’t make him kill Girono and the others because he simply doesn’t need to. His goal was never to kill anyone (besides Trish but that’s a different situation) but to simply not be pursued, and KCR allows him to do exactly that. As for Trish, the only reason he wanted to kill her is because he feared someone would find him because of her. Identity erasure removes that necessity as well. Very good job, very good video 👏

I think a more fitting ability for KCR would be an altered version of your proposed identity erasure. Specifically, Diavolo only exists in the minds of people who are currently observing him, or his stand; the moment he leaves their field of vision, all memories are "locked away" until the next time they see him. This allows for true anonimity, infinite sneak attacks in combat, essentially rendering him invincible.
The power i've been thinking for KCR are more... I got 2 options for this stand...
In case there were 2 requiem arrows, and diavolo used it after Giorno did the same, he would get some new abilities that would make him the strongest stand in jojo:
1) *Epitaph evolution* Diavolo's will always has been to escape from his fate, so the perfect evolution of epitaph would be to see what happens in future... but he can change that future as he wants, without limits, he can rewrite the future he sees, and just with that is scary, but there is one more thing that would make KCR win drastically against GER...
2) *Reality ereasure* yea... he would have the power to completely destroy reality, why would this bring Diavolo to absolute win? Because if GER creates a new truth, KCR can just erease it, making GER useless.
What would have happened if Diavolo was accepted since the beginning?
He could have the power to cut out of the world someone, lets take as victim Giorno. anyone who knows about Diavolo's identity, would be cut out of the world and everyone who knew about the victim (Giorno) would just completely forget about him... His identity card and other documents would become some white pieces of paper, because he is there, but is just like he doesn't exist... every single attempt in forming new alliances, and new memories about Giorno, would be useless because the power of King Crimson Requiem would activate again, and the person will just remain *FORGOTTEN* for ever... Giorno couldn't do anything about it, even the stand wouldn't work.
One of Diavolo's deaths could be him using the arrow and dying to it.

King Crimson Requiem would be a really useful Stand to have in Stone Ocean. You could even use it to just wipe Pucci from existence at the beginning of the story and we'd end the part early.
King Crimson Requiem would be almost exactly like Silver Chariot Requiem if you think about it. Silver Chariot Requiem's whole purpose was to protect the arrow, Diavolo's whole purpose is to protect his identity. King Crimson Requiem would become an integrated stand, and completely envelop Diavolo in a veil of complete and utter anonymity.
The truth would’ve been reached and DIO would save his son from Diavolo

Giorno wouldn't get the same GER because the requiem arrow evolves the stand to fulfill what the user wishes the most, in a weird and bizarre way. The reason he got the ability to RTZ was because his greatest with at the time was to defeat Diavolo. KC erases the cause but keeps the effect, while GER erases the effect and keeps the cause. Because of Identity Erasure, his greatest wish would not be to defeat Diavolo, and therefore his GER would come out completely different.
