@@Augfordpdoggiecan I say, the not knowing is absolutely soul destroying and way worse not knowing, I’m actually saying that from experience with a family member once.
How does his wife and son just go on with life like nothing has happened??? After hearing he was in the military for quite a few years, though, it makes me think they've been living without him for a long time before he went missing. But her going silent and asking for a lawyer while still drawing his pension is more than a little suspicious. 🤔🤨 And why isn't the military stepping up and helping ?? Prayers for this man and his family 🙏 Coming to John for help was the best thing they could've done ❤ Thank you, John, for all you do for others 🥰
I love that Mr. John gives a voice to the voiceless! His heart is bigger than most humans can comprehend. I pray everyday that this case will be solved and justice for Shannon and his family.

It's sad that he quit talking to his elderly parents for not wanting to risk their health/life, and it's sad and suspect that his immediate family are lying about so many things.
Radicalized people are a danger to every aspect of society. It’s hard to feel bad for him if his values were so horrifying.

When people think that you are involved with their missing loved one and you're not, any normal person would bend over backwards to make themselves look NOT guilty. The family he's married into are **not that**.
They just can't seem to stop themselves looking guilty.
And when the son said, "we're sitting down to a family dinner," my first vibe was that he's saying "family" and "that does not include dad, by our choice". And it doesn't include you either, granddad. I dunno, just a feeling...

This is incredibly sad. I pray and hope Shannon so found safe soon. My son is a military veteran too, I shouldn't worry about him when he goes hiking/camping/in the wilderness, but I still do. God please help Shannon and guide him on his way back to those that love and are worried about him. In your name I pray Amen. 🙏🏼

If the son didn't specify to his grandfather that his dad wasn't there after mentioning a family dinner, I would say that sounds strange. How do have a "family dinner" with the patriarch missing and u don't even bother to mention that to the missing man's dad!

If my husband was philandering I don’t know how I would feel .., he should have just gotten a divorce… he could give his parents the silent treatment over COVID but failed to have the backbone to get a divorce… make it make sense
I think the same. Trying to maintain a neutral empathy however I was unimpressed with the Covid tantrum (like, it’s his parents health!! It’s serious!) and the hypocrisy of running around behind his family’s backs but wanting to “wait until the son graduates college” but why? Should’ve faced his conflicts head on, with maturity.
My greatest guess is the wife had something to do with it and pit the kids against their father, which may or may not have included them being involved as well. To still receive checks from the man of your household, who all of a sudden “left the family”, and then, when pressed by the police, you decide to plead the fifth and lawyer up, is understatedly suspicious.

I'm glad you're getting the word out about this case because I hadn't heard of it before. There's definitely more going on here than his wife and kids are saying. It's like I've said in many cases the truth doesn't change and in this case far too many people have far too many different stories so obviously the truth isn't being revealed. It seems like the wife here had a lot to lose if there were to be a divorce or if Shannon were to leave the home willingly. I hope he's found somewhere safe and this can all be put to rest but it just doesn't seem to me that's how this is going to turn out.
The phone detail is almost enough to try her. Why would anyone fake to be someone unless they knew that person was gone and wouldn’t be able to tell him that someone was impersonating him.
Maybe it was more about in retaliation for the affair and less about wanting the extra money.
She didn’t go after his life insurance money because she would need to declare him legally dead, and this would need to be investigated directly.
So she settled for his pension because any money is better than no money. Plus, by keeping things quiet, she had time to come up with excuses and stories.
Im sorry to see this. My dads been missong for 4 yrs. The VA wont do anything to help me and everytime ai get a dofferent story. I hope theres better luvk here. In my prayers

I’m only a hour away from Pottsville and I’ve heard about this 😞 I’m not saying it’s everyone but some folks in that area and surrounding areas are super sketchy!! I’ve spent plenty of time in that area and there’s lots of dope rolling around and some scary people

Knowing that he cut off communication with his parents re COVID suggests he was radicalized & I think that angle, uncomfortable though it may be, needs to be examined. We’ve seen a lot of cruelty & even horrific violence occur when people start believing conspiracy theories that contradict basic facts. It is hard to feel compassion for someone who was willing for his parents to die just to attend a wedding, and that makes me suspect he may have supported Governor Abbott’s idea to sacrifice the elderly for financial gains. A very bad end came to a very bad man, but his wife & kids may well be a threat to the community. I’m so sick of our half assed system where you can kill anyone with no alibi as long as you don’t leave a body. Why bother investigating if we only prosecute surefire cases?
