I used to shoot without a light meter and I'd be so disappointed with some of the shots. Now I shoot with a light meter and all of my shots are correctly exposed and I'm still disappointed.
Damn Vuh! You LITERALLY strike gold with every style of photography you attempt. Thanks for inspiring photographers, including myself, to think outside the box!
I remember you saying this in a video way back. I was hooked on your channel when I first began my photography journey and yeah man no light meter go crazy. I'm still new but I'm writing it all down and just kind of learning.
I struggled with buying a light meter for my rz when i used to shoot 35mm all the time. I too like just being able to think and shoot how i want in the moment. Now that i have one tho, it just helps do it more accurately. I still use it the way i want to and don’t solely go off the numbers.
Great shots under the bridge esp the one with the bus - can’t wait until I can get out with my Mamiya 6 and some cinestill somewhere with some urban light. I live in the country which is great but nothing to use cinestill on or take photos at night....
Damn I’m like half way threw the video and I still haven’t seen this dude film at night. At least give me a sneak peak to keep me interested. Blog style is crazy. Lol take a pic already! Also loved the part where you got the bus! 🙏
I was hella lost in this video 😭 all I learned in photography class , gone .. but I started taking some disposable camera pics after seeing your sponge bob video , I was hella uncomfortable the first go but got a feel for it after my 3rd or 4th camera . Can’t wait to get them scanned
Hey man, thanks for the video and nice shots! Can you explain a little more about the calculations you're making in your head and the knowledge you've acquired over time to make these decisions? Appreciate you!
Great work doing it without a lightmeter! Would be interesting to hear more what your thought are, you briefly touched it but it might all be guess for you as well😂
where is this place man, i love your work, i am from mexico, but god damn, you killed it!!! please tell me where´s this place, i hope can i go sometime, in a few years, congrats
I thought I am the only one not using lightmeter :D Maybe it would be not always ideal, but after some time shooting film, you can easily learn to estimate which settings would work. But it's useful at night, tho :D
Hey, nice shots. I am planning to shoot at dark with my RZ and I am wondering why you are not using the cable release attached to the lens and pre-release the mirror. Does camera shake not matter if the camera is fixed on a tripod?
When you usually shot on Cinestill 800t with a light meter do you normally make sure your light meter over exposes or under exposures? I’m new to this!

Lol I’ll be shooting with digital and be disappointed
2 years later - still disappointed. I hope to revisit this comment periodically. Wish you the best lol @@Itaketoomanypics
Nobody has ever inspired me this much. Honestly.💯
"I too like to live dangerously."
Amazing photos, and very trippy lights on those arches!
Nothing like a Vuhlandes video right when you get off of work
BROOO I was just listening to this song at 5:46 and I paused to lower the music but this WAS THE MUSIC OMMGGG great timing :)
a video about how you develop and scan your film would be crazy vuh.
We need this!!!!
He did, you can find in his older vids
I couldn't imagine not using a light meter lol. salute to you g. photos came out really nice.
Sometimes you gotta raw dog it man
i love the dramatic gaze into the camera
Man I’m extremely proud of you. Just being who you are in this creator space and staying true to you. Keep it up

Doing that without a light meter is some type of wizardry. The bus photo with the light trails is so sick!
More legendary bridge pics!!! Love it, dude
Great work as always dude! I really love that bus photo!
Brother I am very happy to see your progress. You are an inspiration to me keep at it sharing your story through film.
It’s crazy how I was looking up cinestill at night and then BOOM! You upload a video! You’re a wizard Vuhlandes😂
Can I just say, your house has the most beautiful natural light
My favorite spot to shoot at night, always love those colors at night
Where is this ?
Great one man. Best vid in a while. Super impressed you didn't use a meter. Boom.
Hell yeah! More videos of shooting in the field/your process. So sick.
I read the title and was like no way
Next one: shooting flash photography with no light meter
Your spot is sweet the lighting is awesome, the photos were amazing.. loved them !!!!!
That bus photo is stellar. They're all really great. You really crushed it. Appreciate you going out there and walking through your thought process.
Photo in the underpass with the blue lights is fireeee and going out with no light meter is a process still can’t go out without mine
Vuh is for the people.
First photo at 1/15th is stunning very nicely done
I always say "what is the gawd damn deal" with him
I like the new room already

Amazing educated guesses bruh, great work
The light meters in there 😂 I love ya work g! Big fan big fan!
those neon lights in the arches are dope, id shoot there all the time too.
same spot different look = the neighbor's chimney outside my window. it's beautiful with the south and west light all year long.
Yo, so far this is sick. The Cinestill with the Promist be diferenttttt. Love it.
loved it and love night shooting on film more than anything. Love that bridge with the lights so many ideas!
The bus one is so sick
You snapped
Had me mad nervous the way you be carrying that camera, tho lol
new studio vibes

Love your work Instant subscribe
Enjoyed this one a lot!
Great stuff as usual.
Its okay bro I wear the same pants all the time too

That first image at the bar is great. I know you’re mainly a portrait shooter, but there’s landscape photographers who’d kill for a shoot like that.
First time I've seen one of your videos, and I like it. Very cool...subscribed!
Damn I’m like half way threw the video and I still haven’t seen this dude film at night. At least give me a sneak peak to keep me interested. Blog style is crazy. Lol take a pic already! Also loved the part where you got the bus! 🙏
crazy i just went out last night to do the same thing. Won't be able to develop tho for another week or so. Hopefully they come out as good as yours 🤙
Great photos. I’m getting some Willem and Greer vibes lately from your photos.
Beautiful
bruh.. its like 1 am.. why am I watching this? lol I needa go to bed.. also we're patiently waiting on that photobook. :)
That bus photo slaps
Just got a new subscriber. Love your work. I’ll be watching more of your videos. Great work. Keep it up. Keep inspiring. Keep capturing.

so amazing , really love it :)
blessed my day
You a brave soul my man 😂
I've done this too. Never shit myself more waiting from devs back from the lab 😭
Raw dogging night photography is why I decided to develop at home- significantly cuts down the time to be anxious about the shots turning out lmao
@@underxoceans Just developed my first roll the other night from a night-shoot I did, albeit used a meter. Can definitely see why people do it
Forget Sunny 16; welcome to Shady 2.8 rule.
The explanation is seminal.
5:57 pure anxiety
Wow man just came here watched this video and went shoot right after!!!
my guyyy
Never clicked on a vid so fast
YUH
Vuhlandes IS a lightmeter
You got a bachelors degree. You ever made an educated guess? Lmaooo jokes
So nice
Very nice, What ISO did do you use?
Which film was it ?

Hey man, thanks for the video and nice shots! Can you explain a little more about the calculations you're making in your head and the knowledge you've acquired over time to make these decisions? Appreciate you!
Awesome video! Thanks for a lot of inspiration :)
Great work doing it without a lightmeter! Would be interesting to hear more what your thought are, you briefly touched it but it might all be guess for you as well😂
Does anyone know what lens he used for the vlogging portion of the video?
where is this place man, i love your work, i am from mexico, but god damn, you killed it!!! please tell me where´s this place, i hope can i go sometime, in a few years, congrats

Fire
Yesssir
where did you get the tripod from?
did I miss the info with the film speed?
damn! vuhlandes got sharingan or something. nice shots, as usual.
Hey, nice shots. I am planning to shoot at dark with my RZ and I am wondering why you are not using the cable release attached to the lens and pre-release the mirror. Does camera shake not matter if the camera is fixed on a tripod?
Looking for a tripod for my Pentax 67. Which one are you using?
Man that low light video looks killer!💪 what camera are you using for your video in this?
When you usually shot on Cinestill 800t with a light meter do you normally make sure your light meter over exposes or under exposures? I’m new to this!
was he using 800 film here?
naw, real skill shooting off your knowledge. n they turned out 🔥
vuh got cojones
Did you use any filters for your lens when doing this shoot?
heyy!! which tripod do you use? love your videos btw!!
Location?🔥
Is that overpass tge one on Second or Thursday, near Wayne Stare? If so, I know tge artist who created it several years ago. Great shots.
Third, not Thursday. Damn auto correct.
Did he tell what iso film he used?
Dope hoody, where can I get one?? Haha 😅
