- At last an update! This one has been requested several times and I'm happy to finally bring it to you. Not very christmasy, but no matter. I got help from an aspiring filmmaker to operate the camera and for moral support. Check out Katrina's channel here: / whiterabbit8f

The ocarina is such a beautiful instrument. It is by far my favorite wind instrument. Some Indian and Chinese flutes come close.
I agree, but I do also like other flutes like for example the shakuhachi. It all depends on what mood I want to convey. Still, the ocarina is my go to-instrument. :)
saajveh Yeah, it's pretty awesome. I'm just more partial to it. Another one of my favorite wind instruments are the pan pipes. I can't play them, but they sound awesome.
The ocarina is actually a Chinese instrument.
The Pingas Not traditionally... The first ocarinas were Pendant ocarinas found in Peru and other parts of South America, dating back thousands of years BC. Then the Native American Indians got hold of them and made their own versions of similar styles and shapes, but still in Pendant form. A French man, in the late 1800s, then created his own version of an ocarina, the Sweet Potato ocarina. Those went viral across the Eastern continents, and Chinese and Japanese people began making their own renditions as well.
Useless Account the ocarina is an Italian instrument made initially for joke , and it's name is for the form of the instrument that resembled a little duck ( oca -duck / ochINA -LITTLE duck = ocarina )
