So true. I keep searching for more stuff from him, but I'm sure I'll never get the same feelings I've found when I discovered this one so many years ago. I come back very often to get a taste. I can't stop thinking about the innocence of people standing there not knowing the magnitude of what they were witnessing that day. Thank you for sharing your talent with us, Estas.
10 years later and this is still one of the most amazing solo pieces I have ever heard in my entire life. And it will probably remain the case til the day I die.
It's crazy, when I saw this like 8 years ago, there weren't any tabs available for this. Came to discover that he doesn't made tabs for this because each time he plays it, he plays it differently. This man is a genius!
A friend of mine, kickass classical guitar player, actually made a very accurate tab and video playthrough of it, his username is Gsteinmuller, look for that and "song of the golden dragon", it's a video with a red background and it has a link to the tab :)
I've been listing to this masterpiece since 2015, And every time I listen to it, I feel like I'm listing to it for the first time. I can't believe how good this song is.
Периодически прослушиваю это исполнение и до этого времени, лучшего не слышал. И сам гитарист, как будто, разговаривает. Впечатлений, очень много, даже словами трудно передать. Думаю, у многих, такие-же чувства.
I learned to play classical guitar at the age of 5 in Spain by a Master and I just turned 70 and have performed most of the time, believe me when I tell you that The piece he's performing is very difficult and very strenuousness .. Estas is Blessing the crowded ~ While he meditates ... /
It's incredible! People from the age of 8 to 70 are listening to this song! I myself am only 16 years old and it's really incredible seeing a comment by a man who's already seen it all and giving his experience first hand!
J'ai jamais vu un tel guitariste , celui là c'est un vrai de vrai !!!! Incroyable comme il touche , je suis admirative d'une telle dextérité en toute simplicité ,magnifique !
This is what people see, what they don't see is all the thousands of hours of practice and thought he has put down to achieve this level of professionalism. Important message if you are struggling "practice makes perfect" with anything really.
Watching this video by accident in 2014 made me want to master the guitar. It's taking awhile, but I can play the first 3 minutes if this song now. Along with countless other songs.
Its a year since I started learning guitar. And my passion just drove me to make it large. It's you who's gonna bring the change needed for the farewell of you.
An Ukraine Talent To this wicked and perished world who needs Jesus Christ too desperately cause He's only Savior amen. God Bless ✝️ P.s. Revelation chapter twenty-two so are you ready?! HALLELUJAH! MARANATHA!😂
Eugene Jefferson umh! No actually I recognize that he's good as a lot of good guitar players out there, but that's not relevant, what it's really important here is the feeling that he gives to the song, and that's complicated to find in industry!
In my opinion this is one of those songs where the studio recorded version doesn't do it justice. This video has so much more impact than any other recording I've heard of this song.
4:53 two extremes - You either want to capture the moment or live in it. This guy is so amazing. Have been listening this this from the last 6 years whenever I feel low or even high.
@@schneeweedchen9220 I can argue that. The girl on the right is magically "vibing" with eye closed ignoring everyone, but what amazes me is that she's probably seeking attention and gets randomly recorded by the camera. The girl on the left notices the cameras filming herself and wonders why, then she gazes at her left noticing that girl vibing and almost bursts laughing for how much ridicolous she appears.
@@Seacae How is that attention seeking? Her reaction really isn't ridiculous at all, some people enjoy music far more than other people. All the power to her for being able to enjoy it that much especially around other people. What amazes me is how quickly you assume attention seeking. Instead of letting people enjoy what they enjoy you'd rather claim cringe attention seeking when someone does or acts a way your socially inept ass cant fathom.
The rises and the falls, the slow shallow plucking and harmonics and the sound of scraping against the strings like a raging ocean slamming against the cliffs. A masterpiece
events V lmfao if that’s the case we’ve been saying that at our job Skype this whole time and nobody has noticed impressively enough! Guess we all assumed it’s laugh my “butt” off 🤷🏽♂️🤔
I have been coming back to this song for 7 years (been playing for 12) and am only now starting to be able to play this somewhat well. Only at 80% speed and still sloppy though. I'm mostly an electric player but spend plenty of time finger picking yet this guy is leagues ahead of me in picking hand dexterity. There are padawans, Jedi knights, and Jedi masters but this guy is a grand master.
I can't believe people would ever dislike this video, I mean this man has probably spent a majority of his life dedicated to guitar and yet they have the nerve to dislike🤦
Why is everyone saying that this guy probably makes a lot of people quit guitar... This inspires me and makes me want to get better so i can play like him one day.
When you feel that you see something special, you stop. That's when you become the object of a moment that has been watched more than hundred million times. Can you imagine?🙂
His playing is stunningly beautiful, expressive, clear and highly technical, but still "human": bit by bit attainable, if you catch my drift; what is truly, truly _otherworldly_ and there's no other word for it, is his stamina: 9 minutes, playing at the dynamic peaks he's reaching, is an erculean showcase of strenght and willpower.
I think that’s the symbolic meaning behind it In the story he’s trying to tell is a battle for life and to never quit. It almost tells us that the beauty we have is worth fighting for. Absolutely agree.
Everyone here is impressed by his playing skills, but what about the fact that he composed this.Truly amazing
Everyone here is also impressed by his composing skills so dont get too excited about discovering something different.
Didnt know, but this bruh is truly a musical genious
Everyone here is impressed by his performence and composition .. But no one is impressed by how much he had to practice for this
I was unaware of the fact that he composed this piece. That make his performance even more impressive.

he plays it differently. This man is a genius!
man let's run this through an AI to get it
A friend of mine, kickass classical guitar player, actually made a very accurate tab and video playthrough of it, his username is Gsteinmuller, look for that and "song of the golden dragon", it's a video with a red background and it has a link to the tab :)
This version Is actually on songsterr
this is my favourite thing i found out about it too xD

What an amazing song and artist!
Jau true...
ABSOLUTELY
Internal Flight.Estas Tonne (guitar version)

Что интересно у него нет чётких нот, он каждый раз эту композицию немного по разному играет. Этот вариант на мой взгляд лучший.
When I feel pain, When I'm down, When I'm tired - will search the name 'Estas tonne' . Thank you for being in our lives since a decade.

Don't act like 2012 was so different. It was rare to see this kind of performance then as it is now (not counting the pandemic).
I learned to play classical guitar at the age of 5 in Spain by a Master and I just turned 70 and have performed most of the time, believe me when I tell you that The piece he's performing is very difficult and very strenuousness .. Estas is Blessing the crowded ~ While he meditates ... /
I respect your advice and agree he is amazing. I am just someone who loves great music. For you who are in this craft to give a nod means more.
That’s just a brilliant comment, one with depth and experience Thankyou wholeheartedly

It's incredible! People from the age of 8 to 70 are listening to this song! I myself am only 16 years old and it's really incredible seeing a comment by a man who's already seen it all and giving his experience first hand!
He's got nails of steel, I wish mine were that thick. Well I can play also. Read music etc on guitar.
I've watched this so many times over the last couple years, always awesome
I was trying to find a comment that read, "After this level of fingering, his guitar is never going to leave him for another man." BEST COMMENT EVER.

This is what people see, what they don't see is all the thousands of hours of practice and thought he has put down to achieve this level of professionalism.
Important message if you are struggling "practice makes perfect" with anything really.
He was a homeless drug addict in Venice Beach not so long ago. The man is truly an inspiration
Yeah where can I get a hit ?
not true, some people "practice" and still fail. the only people who succeed are people who really commit to something and put all their time to it.
But some people are gifted.
@@joseureste8257 this vid is 10 years old. If that is true it was a long time ago.

I absolutely agree, so much soul in fact that it was overwhelming the first time I heard it
Thomas Hines
***** I'll take a look, thank you!
You said that as if you were better.
Eugene Jefferson umh! No actually I recognize that he's good as a lot of good guitar players out there, but that's not relevant, what it's really important here is the feeling that he gives to the song, and that's complicated to find in industry!
It's already 11year and still goosebumps every few months
In my opinion this is one of those songs where the studio recorded version doesn't do it justice. This video has so much more impact than any other recording I've heard of this song.
The strings are crisper here for some reason, and of course the performance is more raw and powerful
the reason to that is actually mind-blowing - every time him playing his music he uses a different fingerstyle. every. time.
That was because this was an actual epic moment in history.
Because of the street soul….
This is SO TRUE. I listened to many versions and this one has soul only.
4:53 two extremes - You either want to capture the moment or live in it. This guy is so amazing. Have been listening this this from the last 6 years whenever I feel low or even high.

Those two girls were honestly pretty cringe.
@@Seacae The left one, yes. But the girl with closed eyes is simply vibing. No cringe at all.
I always respect people who can play these difficult pieces without looking at the fret strings. You can tell they practiced countless hours.

So effortless, alien- non human, yet can’t get enough of his amazing creation, Live long Estas Tonne!!!❤❤❤
