75? still young Sir!
Great content Nick - thanks.
Thanks Mark
Brilliant Video Nick
Thanks Ravi
I have struggled with right knee injury's. whilst with the injury I was down the range just hitting gentle shots with most my weight to the left and was flushing them. I am now going to adopt this going forward.
Great idea, if only every golfer did the same thing
At what point do you feel weight distribution should increase into the lead side? A subtle increase throughout? Stays 60/40 until it begins to increases on the downswing?
Thank you so much for all your help.
Switched 2 years ago to S&T, your material has been invaluable
Hi Nick, looking forward to the next videos/words, where did you get your Matt from? π€
Hi Yansen, the matt is standard but I use teeclaws for the GRID lines
Hi Nick. I have the book and the DVDs! I abandoned S&T 9 years ago but I caught your year-old review of the Cobra Forged Tec Black single length irons and then started viewing all of your excellent S&T material which has got me thinking that I should go give S&T another go as I never hit my irons better than when I was using the technique. With the increasing popularity of one length irons, does S&T fit well with the use of these? I am currently wrestling with Jim Hardyβs one plane swing, but after a few years of lessons and mixed results I am thinking of a change and so the S&T book and videos will need a dusting down. Keep the content comingπ
Thanks for your message, you should definitely revisit S&T especially as you have the book and DVD's. I think single length irons are a personal preference, I like them but just struggled with the feel of the 8-PW. I think i'm just so use to variable length
Nick Taylor Golf Cheers Nick. Just spent an hour watching your videos. Canβt wait to give S&T another go...as soon as the UK lockdown is lifted.
Thanks for watching, I hope u can get out there soon π€
How can I get that coffee cup?
I nick you said you rotated on the backswing with your weight on your left leg Iβve was told earlier that you tilt on the backswing thanks dave
Lower body weight stays left, hips/shoulders have a side tilt left in the backswing
Nick Taylor Golf thanks for your reply nick
Nick, what is the desired position of the left leg/knee at impact and just after?
The left knee will start to straighten just before impact and continue into the finish
Nick... Is there a drill to shallow the swing
I would start with the external rotation of the right arm ruclips.net/video/-fc5jxybc0s/Π²ΠΈΠ΄Π΅ΠΎ.html
Hi Nick, where can I get a mug? Thanks!!
These were given out at the Stack & Tilt Camp's, at the moment there not available on the Stack & Tilt merch site unfortunately
At 01:58 you mention that everyone was on the left... so I can prove it to my friends... who made the study and where can I find it?
I believe Grant Waite made the study a few years ago, I wish I could show you an article but I don't think the information was published anywhere online
Hi Nick, I'm looking for consistency in striking the ball so am moving towards S&T to get the divot in front of the ball. However I notice at impact your hips are not as open (turned towards the target) as I would expect. Is this intentional, is this what I should strive for in the S&T swing? To my eye it has the appearance of early extension which I've worked so hard to eradicate.
I think rotation is over emphasised by the majority of golf instructors, my hip turn is only just short of the tour average at P7. I would like it to be a fraction more but there are other things i would highlight as more important
Nick, your videos are very good but why do you say at address to go 3 balls back from the lead heal but 2 balls back is the recommendation from BENNETT & PLUMMER . To me that makes a big difference to the set up.
It is personal preference of the golfer but there is a expectation the further back you place it from the left shoulder the more rightward the path. That's why there is a system and a grid
What I get confused with is at p5 (I think) your shaft is quite steep according to what most would say. But is that irrelevant? Something that has screwed me up a lot lately is trying to shallow from the top. When i always thought if you hit it from the inside it is shallow yeah?
If I shallowed my shaft more I would struggle with contact and would swing too much to the right. I believe most golfers are taught an upright swing which they have to shallow a lot on the downswing.
So I at last parallel the shaft points just inside the ball that isn't too steep, as long as it drops under the original shaft plane and is still in to out?
At P6 the shoulders should roughly be square to target, and the clubhead in line or just inside the hands. The club shouldn't drop below the shaft angle set at address
So the hips donβt seem to be very open at impact...
Around 30 degrees open when Iβve measured using 3D
Hi Nick , love your content but can you make your video playbacks a bit better quality , keep up the good work ππ»
Hi Gary thanks, next weeks video playback is better quality. Itβs just when I want to use the motion data thatβs the video quality unfortunately
