It worked great for about a year until the motor failed earlier than expected. No rattles or exhaust leaks were heard when the motor was attached. However, it is a fantastic modification to have when the system is working well. The excitement in having the ability to change the note of the exhaust from to stock to loud at a switch of a button doesn't get old. Would recommend getting one of higher quality or with a good warranty.
I see that you mentioned in the comments that you recommend buying a higher quality product. I can't seem to find one for my e90 328i. Do you know any?
Hi, the higher quality ones are usually those that are significantly more expensive (around $500) compared to the one I bought which was around $80 CAD. Though since I haven't tried them, I can't say for sure if the price increase of those products also confirms significant quality improvement. I suggest trying to find something that is made/ shipped from North America (or wherever is local to you) and has a solid warranty. From my experience, it's just the motor assembly that seems to fail easily, so a good warranty that allows you to easily replace it would be ideal.
It's still on, but the motor stopped working for the valve. I just leave it open now, but I welded the valve to the flange, and just put it back on with the three bolts when I want it quiet. I would recommend a higher quality cutout.
Sounds great , question for you. I already have a muffler delete and a secondary cat delete on my E93 328i. Would like modification make a difference in sound and pops for with the mods I already got ? Thanks
I doubt it, as this already is essentially a muffler delete/ bypass with regards to where I placed the cutout. If you install it closer to the headers then there would be a difference, but sound would probably be excessive at that point.
PARAS Gotcha thanks for the wise words. I ended up going for the resonator delete as well as the other deleted things I mentioned before. Honestly a lot would think that setup would be a little much. However I couldn't be more happy with how everything came out. The pops I get now are insane!! Car isn't really that loud just Idling I rarely notice any drone. I’m going to upload a short video to my channel showing the exhaust sound and a first gear pull !
@@gabelovesasians4286 Awesome! These inline six BMW engines sound so great even with simple mods like these, I'm happy you are enjoying it! Let me know if you upload your video, I would love to hear it!
Inches? Awesome
2.5 inches if I remember correctly. Thanks for watching!
How long did it last you? Did ever give you problems. Do you hear it rattle?
Looking for a response too lol

ECS tuning vacuum actuated exhaust dump is what you want.
do you still have it installed? is it still working properly after 2 years?

Did you have to tune your car or do you know if the car benefits from the tune?
No tune.
what is your mobile phone jig?
The ground and the passenger seat tbh
does your car pop with the open valve and if it dont do you think if i delete the resonator and install the cutout it would pop?
Oh yeah, it pops when you let off gas. Nothing too loud, the pops are subtle, but still fun.
