I just put headers on my 6.2 and took the cats out. Was thinking of putting stock muffler back on, and adding a cut out before it only for when I see a cop, I could close it and somewhat be kind of quiet.
Definitely a game changer, headers on a 6.2 with cutouts sounds good, try dynomax muffler if u can’t find ur stock one

Can you partially open and close the valve? Just curious, sometimes it can be too much for the lady or sometimes you need it wide open!!!!
Yesir, there is a half open setting on certain cut outs to keep it calmer & then full open for party time

Toggle switch u can get from a auto zone straight to a 12v cable and ground
After so long of having the cutouts how good have they lasted i have diff cutouts but they arent so reliable so i want an opinion on these
I drive this truck spirited every time I take it out I turn the cutouts on and off . No issues, highly recommend

That does not look stock at all no 03 to 07 silverado ever came with a single pole style toggle switch bro u should've used the fog light switch if your truck doesn't have fogs its a perfect switch to get for 10 15 bucks from Amazon and then u just get a wire pinout diagram and wire it up then It would look stock also no offense man but ur truck sounds horrible and a stock single exhaust with a single cutout makes it sound even worse here's what u need is a good set of long tube headers ceramic coated and exhaust heat wrap either set of good high flow cats a x pipe get rid of the restrictive and garbage stock y pipe so the x pipe to continue onto true dual 2.5inch or 3inch depending if u want a higher pitch and raspy sound or the 3inch for a deeper low sound if u do no cats I would advise for a good high-end set of mufflers for the back pressure u do need and to help keep the sound down also to filter some of the smoke and keep from shooting flames especially in California if u did high flow cats run it straight from the x pipe or do glasspacks or if u want to keep sound down do nice mufflers a great exhaust is usually put on and fabricated by a exhaust shop I've found bolt on exhaust systems tend to be garbage materials don't last rusting out having honeycomb in cats breakup and clog it etc etc have a good shop that tunes vehicle's and does exhaust systems do it they will generally get a sound u want that's tuned and proper
