Spain were on the ropes for about 5 minutes in the 2nd half after the Palmer goal that came against the run of play. But then Spain essentially said "alright, enough of that", took the ball and took control of the game again. For about 80-85 minutes, England were nowhere to be seen
We proved for a few minutes we can put up the spain but when we sit back and let them push us around, we end of losing and its all written on the previous games, World Cup Quarter finals, Last Euro Finals.

Portugal were rewarded in 2016 for failing in the weakest group there had ever been in the Euro's by somehow avoiding Italy Spain Belgium & Germany before lifting the trophy. The better team of the night and the best in the tournament deserved to win the cup. Pickford seved England from an embarrassment. They were lucky enough to be in the final after luckily avoiding big teams until the Semifinals. On the other hand Spain won the cup after beating Italy, Germany, France, Croatia and England.

I thought the Spanish defence looked flaky actually when England were pressuring towards end of first half when it was very equal when England had the only shot on goal.
