its funny that when the crowd wave (applause) it is the same , in the series switched at birth they do the same thing even though that is in asl - it must be a deaf culture thing
I loved this film. I am hearing but have Central auditory processing disorder and hyperacusis so I can barely hear what people are saying to me half the time! I sometimes use makaton sign to get my point across and it really frustrates me when people won't bother to learn to sign back! Oh well, can't change the world eh! I really want to learn BSL hence I watched this with the sound off. Does anyone have experience of being a hearing signer? Are you well recieved by the deaf community?

I noticed at 13:28 I had no clue what they were spelling?And friends,family,where & signing were different signs as well. It was a great movie though!Thank you for sharing. (:

I loved this picture. Great story telling. I thought it was very well done. Even though I was about to give up after the part where the boss of the club rejects Ellen and when she has an argument with her mom, I was relieved by the way it ended.
