I don't think my husband expected to wake up and find me crying in front of my computer. Yet here we are.
Also...the actor for Sabrina's expression at the bus stop really hammers home the feeling of loss. She has that thousand-yard stare of someone who has well and truly lost everything she loves and holds dear. It's a heartbreaking look and one that so many of us sadly recognize right now.

My father (Nov 12, 1939 - Sept 5, 2017) joined the record club when I was about 8 years old in order to get the Dr. Hook album with Sylvia's Mother. He was a country music fan, but for some reason, this song touched him, and it played in our home for years. Like everyone else commenting, I was caught off guard, and the waterworks are flowing. When the buyer invited her in, she said that she had to go because it was going to rain, that's part of the lyrics to the song. Bravo to the writers and to the actress, well done again, Omeleto!

This film wouldn't have been the same without Dr Hook and Sylvia's Mother. This song means so much to me in real life and I still have multiple copies, one for every vehicle and vinyl to play while I'm puttering through the house. Music really does have a way of working on the soul. Richard did an amazing job bringing that feeling to life in the film.

I'm 61 and have been through quite a handful of sadness in my life like the loss of loved ones, trashed dreams and plans, depression, etc. When the car buyer started reading the letter, tears started welling in my eyes, with all the emotions in the film coming at me like some sort of flash flood. I guess when you've experienced loneliness and disappointments in your life, they just stay there inside you forever, and a movie experience like this brings them to the fore and the natural human reaction is to cry.

I have decided that these mistakes are the universe nudging me in little ways. I’m never disappointed. What did surprise me was the level of attachment I felt for the characters. My problem with short stories is usually the lack of characters and their history, but I felt a part of every adventure and trip taken in Sylvia, so I was also a part of Sabrina’s journey and was not surprised when she left Sylvia with only one case and the teddy. The reading of the letter was what started the waterworks and I went straight into the ugly cry with hiccups and the whole nine yards. Seeing the after story was such a beautiful closing to this fabulous short. I know nothing about it, but I hope this wins you many awards and helps you on your path. I didn't get it at first because I was thinking she was giving up her children for adoption, then I was like is she going to jail when she told her sleeping mom to look after them... the film is a confusing but I do realize that unless it's a documentary you have to change things up a bit to make things interesting. VERY WELL DONE! The main actress was amazing. The way the story was told kept you guessing and the end is much more horrible than imagined especially when you actually understand what happened in real life. So tragic...So special was the community to reunite this mother with the vehicle that held so many memories for her and her younger daughter. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I've already seen this film a few times, as I've been lying in bed with covid, and every time I literally cried my eyes out. Thank you for this most beautiful picture, along with introducing me to fantastic music of Dr. Hook, that I haven't known before. Apart from the line with 'riding with angels', another one that hit me was 'look after the kids while I' m gone'. My God, so much love and pain, she's not able to look after her little ones any more! That's the moment when I'm praying for something to be there after death, as the thought that people should go through such pain, and then just die, is unbearable! To all that lost their beloved, (which in reality means everyone in this world) I hope that one day we shall be reunited.

Beautifully done and I'm glad that Sabrina was reunited with Sylvia. It is indeed true. Cars are memories. Story time; My husband's first car was a 2006 Scion TC that he bought while serving overseas in the U.S. Navy. After his discharge, he had it brought to the U.S. and after us not having seen each other for 9 years, we were reunited and had our first kiss in that car, we brought our first baby home in that car, moved 4 times with the use of that car and after owning it for 14 years, he finally sold it to a co-worker's son in 2020. It was a bittersweet moment seeing them drive away with it......and here's the rub.....a few days after owning it, he got into a really bad head-on collision. Not new to driving, but the Scion TC happened to also be his first car that he ever owned as well. Luckily, he survived the accident, but sadly, the car was too damaged to be saved in any way. Sometime last year, he took his own life. He was going through Mental Health issues, but I do hope that for the few days that he had the 2006 Scion TC, he found joy in driving it. My question to you all; Do you believe that some cars are meant for certain people?

Wow - I definitely didn't see that coming. Terrifying and deeply moving, both at once. Excellent film!

Only the heartless wouldn't shed a tear over this. Pretty darn emotional and all I say - to say it is based on reality. The end is proof if doubted, that not all of humanity is a drop kick etc. 😥👍

I don’t know if I needed this movie or the opposite yet it did make me feel emotions I wasn’t expecting. Well done to everyone behind it.
