After watching the final turn, I think the supreme king should have actually beat Axel. He could have used Super Poly after his equip spell was returned to his hand.
Make Malicious Fiend Attack For Game!
Please Jaden vs Aster Phoenix both Back to Duel & Homecoming
jim and axel should have lost PURELY because i wanted to see Hellkaiser zane vs supreme king jaden
Technically Avian & Clayman can make Great Tornado or Gaia (so can Wildhart, just replace clayman with it), but the Supreme King used Dark Fusion instead of regular old polymerization
Good episode, TGS Anime
Pls do more zexal arc v and 5 ds duels
Fun fact: super polymerisation requires to discard one card in order to compensate for the fact that Cyrus wasn’t sacrificed
Goddamn it Cyrus ! One soul away from getting a even more OP fusion spell. Even being tributed he can't do right.
You sure? Because we know that my man judai killed a whole country after that to make super poly
@@matiasignacioalvarezpavez5942Wasn’t it like 10’s of thousands of lives or something?
@@matiasignacioalvarezpavez5942 they're right - Syrus had the last Spirit Sphere (Doubt), which would have been absorbed into Brron's "Wicked Canon" by his "Wicked Rune - Doubt" card had Syrus also been captured, so killing everyone else in the dimension to 'Summon' Super Polymerization doesn't imbue it with the magical essence of the last Wicked Rune.
In layman's, yes it had to be Syrus since he was 'holding' the last Wicked Rune needed to fully 'magically' power Super Polymerization.
Cyrus most unless one as well
Even as the Supreme King, Jaden still dictates, " I want the fusion of avian and bustinatrix first."
It's his favorite monster and that's never gonna change
@blastthechaos6083 technically it did. It went from an avian/bustinatrix fusion to neos
@@TwistedNightmar3Gaming not really, he always reminds us that Flame Wingman is his favorite monster even as far as Season 4
@blastthechaos6083 favorite but after a certain point neos is used far more often because of show's focus of shilling neos and all his fusion.
I wasn't disagreeing on it being his favorite. Just the usage shift.
Supreme king is still dictated by Judai. I should've changed my wording by mentioning the usage.
@@TwistedNightmar3Gaming that's fair, though I still argue that Flame Wingman is used on many important sequences for him to still call him his favorite and still be relevant, Neos is used more and is overall more important (on top of being stronger than Flame Wingman)
An interesting thing that Duel Links revealed. Jim was left so traumatized by his failure that he actually left the academy and quit dueling for a while. He only got involved there as a favor to Axel.
Damn that's deep. I feel bad for him because he truly gave it his all in that duel
Both characters never would have existed if the show was made outside Japan all stereotypes.
I need to review this. I also have not gained Axel yet. They interest me with how they change my thinking while also reinforcing the strats I tend to fixate on. Hopefully I will get a few able to be Legend-level someday. My spell and trap game I need to improve.
@@basillah7650There are plenty of Australian stereotypes in American made series, like Dingodile in Crash Bandicoot.
What stereotype do you think Axel is? You think he's a spy bounty hunter because he's black or what? I don't think he even is a stereotype unlike Jim.
@@genyakozlov1316 I mean... Axel is just a stereotypical black gangsta/bounty with a big nose, dreadlocks, issues with his dad, a f*cking gun as his Duel Disk and I'm pretty sure there was a scene where he was eating chicken.
The Supreme King mini-arc is hands down the best thing to come out of GX. Seeing Jim get so close to saving Jaden only to fall at the end and Axel having to overcome his fear and sacrifice himself to finish the job hit me real hard as a kid.
You should watch Season 4 then.
Season 3 last in dub
Season 4 last in sub
Sub is better in general tbh, 4Kids dances around stuff so much it sometimes sounds like they tried to abridge it.
@@xerael4659 absolutely stay in the original sub version of GX. Dub was dark but sub is MILES DARKER.
@@xerael4659they also skip so many episodes and arcs. Like 5DS also has plenty of missing episodes. If I remember they skip Jack getting a new synchro during the World Tournament arc.
How would a duel between Zane and the Supreme King go? Now that would've been an epic duel!
I do wish syrus was the one that saved Jaden 😅
Zane couldn't defeat Yubel/Johan and Yubel is pretty much Supreme King's equal. Also, Supreme King can just Super Poly whatever Zane throws at him.
@@xerael4659well from what we know of his extra deck super poly would be useless against zane
@@EditoroftheT-forceunless there was an Evil Hero fusion that would have use any one of Zane's Cyber Dragons
@@EditoroftheT-force We've seen him in only two duels, neither Jim or Axel used machines and since it's a popular Monster type, he would have an out (or just a Light attribute counter). If he doesn't, the duel is more even and I can see Zane winning since that's his peak, but Supreme King is more less equal to Yubel and Yubel beat Zane with the deck that wasn't even her.
Imo, Axel is very underrated in the community, dude went over a little mini-arc about overcoming his fear then got the draw againts supreme king. Even in s4 when he did lose to trueman, he was still being a bro and helping with what he can
Jim: hold my fossils 🦴
I think he even is in duel links
When Axel was introduced it was shown that he could defeated Jaden but it didn’t in order to see his cards
I'm glad how this went down, making Axel (a character who depicted as a side but skilled silent anti-hero) go through some good character development and be the person to take down Jaden as the Supreme King. GX had a habit of making only Jaden have all the important duels and taking down main villains so I'm glad they took this route. Oh and the Supreme King's theme in the original is by far the best in all of Yugioh
And they used Jim's character and archetype to the fullest too. They did great.
Technically, wouldn't this add to the meme of "Jaden has all the important duels"?
that's kind of the point. jaden had to be the dependable one, and that eventually consumes his joy of dueling. because people were dieing and only he could win.
until jesse. when jaden finds this dependable guy who can take some of the load off of him.
and then the yubel stuff happens.
and season 4 exists to give jaden his love of dueling back.
yeah jaden is always the one that does stuff, but they worked it into the character
@@alicepbg2042 Yeah, exactly. Everyone relied on him. And then later he didn't find dueling fun anymore.
Having Zane doing it would have been better, and giving his legacy to Sirus in S3
Damn, Jim might be a rare case of an anime character whose deck is much stronger IRL than it is in the anime.
it helps that it took over 10 years to print the cards
@@alicepbg2042le ouch
Perhaps in older Yugioh, but pretty much every deck in Arc-V got massive buffs when they came to the real game. Notable cards include Speedroids (seriously, read anime Terrortop), Phantom Knights, Fluffal, and Lunalights. I think the only duelist who got more nerfs than buffs, ironically, is Yuya himself, who misses out on the Gazer Magicians with no restrictions, generic Lizardraw, and Trump Girl in the Battle Phase
@idalwave2328 i agree Arc V decks are much more stronger in irl than in the anime
But yeah jim's deck took 10 years atleast 2-3 generation/spin off to get his deck printed
It makes sense that his deck would get a major upgrade
@@idalwaveHonestly, the only major buffs real Fluffals have over anime Fluffals is, like . . . Bear. Vendor was basically the same, Wings was even stronger, pretty much everything else is unchanged . . . what made Fluffals so good was extra support Sora didn't have in the anime, not the cards being buffed or nerfed.
But 100% agree on everyone else. Speedroids and PK especially, like holly shit.
Predaplants, weirdly, are about the same, they just aren't printing the utterly broken shit like Ivy Bind Castle (a floodgate *and* an FTK enabler? In the same card?) and Lilyzard (okay, a Predaplant with Burstinatrix stats that becomes a Tuner if it would be Special Summoned, and its effects can't be negated, neat. AND IT'S ALSO PRE-ERRATA DISK COMMANDER FOR LITERALLY NO REASON.)
TBH, those two were some of the best duels of the series. No shenanigans, or pulling random effects from some hole; and seeing the side characters be the ones to defeat the big baddie instead of the main character was a breath of fresh air...
The only "shenanigan" would be Clayman being in the King's graveyard to bring out Infernal Sniper. Other than that, this was a refreshingly by the books duel for the Anime.
@@RotaAbyssianNot that it mattered
@@sasir2013It kinda did. All of Jaidens fusion monsters require specific materials. What Jaiden could make depends on his graveyard
@@pringleman6932 Dark calling allows you to fuse using either your hand or GY. Clayman was on the hand at the beginning of the duel, it being on the gy later due to a mistake doesn't matter because it would have been on the hand anyways, and the fusion would have happened exactly as it did
@@sasir2013 oh I see. For some reason I thought Clayman just Houdini’d into the graveyard from nowhere. You’re right
I think thr Supreme King told Axel that Infernal Sniper was unaffected to destroy any hope he had. He knew what his opponent would try, so he gor ahead of him by letting him know he didnt have a chance.
Also, while i am psyched two of my favorite duels where hughlighted, i still thirst for Yuma vs Shark/Nash
Sometimes it's ridiculous even for villains not to explain their cards. Let's say for example Don Thousand not explaining Number Ci1000 Numeronius Numerronia to Yuma and Nasch. They would comfortably end their turns building up defenses, only to find out they had actually already lost.
The Supreme King remains one of my favorite villains in YGO to this day. Something about him still being Jaden at heart tickles my writer-brain.
Dark sides are neat
Just look at persona or Kingdom hearts with Vanitas and Ventus
I remember as a kid watching the Supreme King whip out Super Poly and beating Jim and the last possible moment was the single most traumatic anime fight loss I’d ever experienced up to that point
And his scream in the sub is haunting
Joey getting destroyed by the Wing Dragon of Ra in a shadow game and screaming in agony while it's happening: Am I a joke to you?
@@RenaldyCalixteit's possible that was before their time
For me its the duel where Mai loses to Marik and is trapped in an hour glass although I watched that when I was 7 or so so I might missremember
I love Jim so much. Too bad he doesn't get nearly enough screen time.
My favorite part about Axel's duel is the fact that he was only able to do so well BECAUSE he held back in his first duel against Jaden.
If Axel had revealed his ace monster's ability to Jaden earlier in the season, he would've lost.
I never actually considered the implications of Axel not holding back (beyond the standard 'he actually could've beat Judai definitively in their first duel') but come to think of it yeah - if, back then, when Wildheart attacked, he'd activated Volcanic Force instead of Wild Fire, he'd have won this time. Good spot!
Edit: It did just occur to me though, Axel would have been in a better position if the Supreme King _did_ know about Doomfire's effect. Malicious Edge doesn't attack Hammerer so Doomfire can't redirect it, Vicious Claw doesn't return to his hand so Hammerer doesn't get destroyed & Axel doesn't lose 600LP and to top it all off the Supreme King no longer has a card in hand to discard for Super Polymerization.
Axel draws Volcanic Counter & uses Volcanic Cyclone to destroy Vicious Claw so Malicious Edge can now be destroyed in battle (which also sidesteps all the above since that stuff only applies when Vicious Claw is returned to hand to save a monster), then Axel enters his BP and wins because both cards the Supreme King had facedown, Super Polymerization & Evil Blast, are dead.
@@dancostello4872 Axel the GOAT confirmed.
Intro: 00:00
Duel 1 [Ep139] A Sight Unseen 0:55
Duel 2 [Ep142] What Lies Beneath 16:50
Conclusion: 26:20
As for why Supreme King revealed Hell Snipers immunity to Spells...
Well, this might seem weird but it's actually implying that Haou respects O'Brien.
This is more notable in the Sub version but when O'Brien returns to face Haou he's actually curious about why he came back to face him despite running away before and is actually more willing to argue with him than he ever was with Jim, obviously he dismissed him but that was more a "put your money where your mouth is"
And this is shown during the duel, after Wild Cyclone does it's first attack, Haou tells O'Brien to get up and "show me that power that you have" after he is attacked by Volcanic Hammerer he is smirking, do note that Haou never smiles up til that point which means he was enjoying himself and later on he even tells O'Brien "For a person that has run away before you're actually pretty strong" and again, he's far nore willing to talk and argue with him than hr ever was with Jim, who he mostly ignored.
So him telling him about Hell Snipers effect could be his own way to show his respect and keep having fun by not making him waste a move on something that won't work.
I wonder if they screened out KENN's acting to see if he could play the Supreme King prior to making it an arc or if his skill at voicing a character so different from the one he was initially cast as was a beneficial coincidence. Like for real, Judai was his first voice acting gig EVER, it's insane to see how talented he was (Yugioh actually has a pretty good track record with rookie VAs, Yuamu's is also someone who acts like someone with a few years of experience despite it being her only role at this point).
Also it's neat to have Supreme King discard Fake Hero in the first Super Poly activation and Vicious Claw in the second. Like it's not as hugely symbolic but it's got a little bit of it. Probably helps that Fake Hero is a card pretty much made to turbo out Neos for a Contact Fusion.
Looking at stuff he's done since, part of me feels he's gotten typecasted into villains.
That was a great hand the whole way through. Crazy. I haven't even gone into the Evil set yet and they are pretty beastly if you work them right!
*The Supreme King* was an interesting alter ego in the GX Era and the predecessor of Jaden Yuki. In the end, Jaden decided to use this power to end Yubel's reign of terror once and for all.
I would love to see future YGO duel analysis of the Signers vs. Dark Signers from 5Ds season 1.
I would also like to learn more about the signers.
Im disappointed we only saw 2 duels with the Supreme King, but those duels were both amazing
Yeah, for such a designed character he was only used twice.
If this was kingdom hearts we’d be seeing him more than that
The Supreme king is basically Judai's darkness in the heart though, so he's appeared way more than that.
Besides, Judai used his powers in other duels before and after that, like against Brron at first, then against Yubel and by the time season 4 comes around he's completely accepted his darkness to a point they can he considered a single individual
aYeah, there are so many ideas for Fusions, you could go on all day! I even have a couple, myself! One for Tempest called Maelstrom and I can't quite decide if Inferno Wing's inevitable upgrade should be with Sparkman or Infernal Gainer! That said, can you imagine a Dark Fusion equivalent for Electrum? I would love to see what other people could come up with for Mudblallman, Mariner, Steam Healer or even some Wildheart love!

Evil HERO Umbral Infernal Wing
Inferno Wing + Spark Man via Dark Fusion

As much as I love Axel, it felt a bit weird to me that he was the one to snap Jaden out of it when Zane and Aster two characters who fell into darkness from good and returned to the light by Jaden are like, right below him fighting rando fiends
Cyrus included. All three could have fought him at once even
Not like Axel or Jaden knew all that much about either one of each other either.
I love how Zane and Aster spend half of season 3 just wandering around and fucking up random denizens of the dark world because they’re bored
In concept maybe but I think the way it was executed was very believable and emotional.
Also, neither Kaiser nor Edo fell to the darkness, neither did they come back from it. Kaiser only understood respect was useless in this merciless world, and he never changed that ideal until his little redemption in season 4 where he got to chill, and Edo was just blindly following Saiou without knowing what the latter had in mind
Even worse when you realize those two were the only ones to defeat Jaden in the past
This is the duel I am dying to see! Well done TGS

It’s a shame Jim wasn’t more of a friend with Jaden prior. They had to make a flashback where Jaden bonds by feeding Jim’s crocodile (Which by the way he fed her JUNK FOOD which I’m pretty certain you should not do) but in the episodes prior, they only bonded when Jim was using a Geiger counter to find some radiation source, leading them to Viper’s base, but then Hassleberry duels him because the radiation awakens his Dino DNA and makes him go savage at first.
All ending with them discovering the bands they wear, draining them. And that’s really it unfortunately
Crocodiles are like ants can eat anything even super rotting food and be fine can eat food even hungry homeless people would not eat if a million dollars.
It's almost like they should've used people Jaden knew longer than a few days to beat the Supreme King and bring him back rather than new season characters just to pump out new cards.
@jacobwilliams1223 this is why you aren't a writer.
@@jacobwilliams1223who cares the transfer students were like the best characters in the show
These two duels are some of my favorite duels in the entire series.
Maybe you can do the video: Was Adrian about to defeat Yubel? This is another duel that i love so much
That duel is painfully predictable,Yubel was getting Joey levels of lucky but same can be said for Adrian drawing 4 pieces and ritual spell in his opening hand,a plot duel going for action rather than suspense if I ever saw one.
There were so many misplays in that duel.
- Adrian should have attacked Hamon during the turn he attacked Uria. It would not have dealt life point damage, but it would have prevented the summoning of Armityl (that he had seen Yubel use already) and it would have prevented Yubel from tributing Hamon to power up Raviel (he can still take battle damage from attacks against Exodios). Adrian was using an auto win strategy, life points shouldn't have mattered to him.
- Going with the above, instead of summoning Armityl, Yubel should have tributed Hamon to power up Raviel and attacked Adrian to deal 4000 points of damage for game.
- during his final turn, Adrian should have summoned the Exodia piece in his hand and attacked for game. Yubel had NOTHING on the field and 100 lifepoints. Adrian had already sacrificed his Fog Castle, so his monster zones should have been active again.
@@Nemo12417 about that last part,Fog castle prevents attacking after its ability to return 4 cards from the grave is activated. As for the rest, true.
I just realized that the Supreme King could have won against Axel. Instead of using Evil Blast, he could have used Super Poly with Malicious Edge and the Evil Token during his last battle phase, and then attack Volcanic Doom Fire with Malicious Fiend. During which, Axel hasn’t discarded Volcanic Counter, so no tie
This two duels are the most I've ever wanted to see, I love every aspect of the Supreme King and I thought his deck was so strong back then when I watched the anime. I find a bit bs that he draws the duel like that in the end, but I can see it as a plot scheme to bring Jaden back.
I love the Evil Heroes. We seriously need more Evil Hero Fusions and support cards. Perhaps we can get more Evil Hero fusion counterparts cards like for Elemental Hero Tempest or create a new Evil Hero when fusing Infernal Gainer and Prodigy
That would be awesome!!!
Supreme King's Castle is your best friend.
Combos of the different types of HEROs would be excellent, like an expansion of Evil HEROs that apply Destiny or Vision to the mix.
@@residentgrey Yes it is!
@@residentgrey Yeah, that would be cool too.
I'm also thinking of a few female Evil Hero non fusion monsters, since we only have 2 so far. Maybe something like the Gemini Elfs card.
I would even like a trap card similar to D-Fusion for the Evil Heroes and a Signature Move card would be cool too for Malicious Fiend and Bane. I read a forum a while back where someone mentioned the idea of a Super Dark Fusion card that would be a Quick Play spell card.
As for fusions, it would be cool to get an Evil Hero version of Mudball Man, which would have an effect that causes the opponent to only attack it, similar to
Amazoness Tiger and if attacked, but not destroyed, the opponent takes some effect damage.
I can go on and on with this. Most of the cards I can think of would just be Evil Hero counterparts to the current spell and traps cards we have for the HERO monsters.
Jim's last attack should've won when he made it at 14:00. His monster had 2800 ATK, while Supreme King's monster was reduced to 1200 ATK. Thus the damage dealt would be 1600, which was the exact amount of life points he had left. For some reason, he was left with 50...
His lp was 1650
Really wished we could have seen more of the Supreme King, I wouldn’t have mind a filler, which would have gotten the writers to make anime-only cards which gives the possibility of more Evil Hero fusion monsters
To be fair, GX didn't have to really worry about having true filler as the anime was made first, thus didn't need to make filler to buy time for the manga to get ahead.
Was I the only one expecting Jim to activate the Seal of Orichalcos out of nowhere during this arc? Given the lore, I'm pretty sure he technically could due to his eye if he had the card. That would be one insane twist.
That's actually very ironic. This season literally depends on Season 4 of DM existing, because it is the one that established the pre-egypt backstory of the monsters(Aka. how the rainbow dragon-tablet can exist). But then it completely slipped their minds that it may be a very bad idea to use the fantasy material Orichalcum because it very much could be mistaken for "Orichalcos" by the audience.
It’s very broadstrokes approach to DM Season 4.
This is one of the most intense duel in the series where someone good has to vanish to get through
This episode is why I have trust issues with irl yugioh rulings.
You can't activate volcanic counter to draw irl :c
Even though he lost, the duel between Jim and the Supreme King was one of my most favorite duels. Jim was a personal favorite character of mine from GX and I love his deck
I would say the Supreme King not going for Lightning Golem first is still kind of a misplay. It could’ve popped shell knight and then attacked. Overall more damage and clears the shell knight in case the backrow would’ve stopped him.
Imagine being in the YuGiOh universe surrounded by people with "cool" names and your name is....Jim.
James technically, but I get you
i love these videos so much, the concentration and effort it must take to trace all the cards are extremely impressive!
The Supreme King was such an awesome character and Evil Heroes such a fantastic archetype. Its a shame we didn't really see either beyond these two duels (Supreme King sort of came back in the Yubel duel but it didn't feel as cool as here)
I absolutely love the Evil Hero archetype. It's my favourite sub-archetype of the Heroes. I really wish Konami would make more support for it.
If Jim had a Level 6 Fossil Dragon Fusion monster in his Fusion deck, what name would you called it and what effect will you give it?
Fossil Dragon Skullgoon (Level 6/Earth/Rock/Fusion Effect)
ATK: 2700/DEF: 2100
Material(s): Rock-type + Level 5 or 6 monster from the opponent's GY
Effect:
- When this card attacks a monster(s), it gains 300 ATK points and also deals piercing damage to the opponent.
- While this card is in the GY, banish it and select one face-up card on the field, negate its effect. If "Fossil Fusion" is in the GY, uses it effect twice. You can only use this card's effect once per turn.
15:52 Weeeeeeeeell technically super poly can be negated by floating negations, like imperial order, or negates that do not get added onto the chain, like magician’s right hand.
I really wish we had seen more of the supreme king, even though I like Jaden’s character more, just because he was such a strong villain. Wish it would have taken a few more duels to bring him down
I wish literally anyone except one of the new characters was the one to beat him. And a level further, Axel was probably the most obnoxious of the new characters because it was obvious how hard the writers were trying to force him.
Jim and Axel were two amazing charachters that I loved watching as much as Jessie. Season 3 is sadly the most guilty of sideling pretty much everyone who's not Jaden for the new charachters and I actually do think Syrus should've been involved in this attempt to save Jayden but I still loved it from the writing to all the stuff we learn about Jaden and Yubel. Plus their duels with the supereme king were tension filled and made for a unique challenge. After all Jaden's the protagnist who rarely loses in the show, to save him they had to beat him and so it's fitting it was'nt an easy task to do.
Syrus was the one to inspire Axel to take on the king tho
Once again I request could Z-Arc have beaten everyone
Or Yusho and Yuya vs Yuri
@oxcare5104 Seconded
Could team Taiyo have beaten Team 5d's?
a duel that sadly didnt get a translation, but its handsdown a personal favorite. the opponents mostly have old era vanilla monsters and really cheap trap cards. however they they pull off a ridiculous summoning which makes it very entertaining.
Id love if you could cover this duel, but i understand if its a low priority, sinceits a long 3 vs 3 duel.
I would love to see that as well
Team 5ds vs Team Taiyo is like watching Germany vs Algeria back at the 2014 World Cup, given that both underdogs gave heavy favorites a hard time until the final minutes
I barely starting watching gx this year and recently watched this duel and man, even though we barely met jim in this arc, I was more upset when he died than anyone else, even zane.
Know what I think I know why supreme king didn’t keep sniper’s immunity secret supreme king is the embodiment of order and control pushed to perfection so of course when he’s able to predict what his opponent will do he will tell them early it is futile.
I think that it was a shame that they didn't give the supreme king even more episodes then they gave him. Acutely, the supreme king could have had his own awesome arc.
I think Syrus and Axel should’ve teamed up to beat The Supreme King
I wish we got to see more of the supreme king. He should have had his own season as the villain not a mini arc as good as it was.
Yeah, coolest duel disk, coolest design, badass fusions, honestly this guy deserved more. The entire world feared him there, yet he gets punched away by some rock collector and burn player.
I see it as basically the same thing as how bastion briefly returns to help Jaden speedrun his way through his depression. It was certainly very rushed because they were working with very limited time(Which wouldn't have been the case if they didn't make the desert world-arc take longer than it really needed to, but whatever), but they did very well with those limitations.
Boy Konami REALLY buffed Fossil Dino irl. If it had the anime effects, it probably never would have seen the light of day.
Damn Jim's deck in that first duel is exactly what it feels like to try and play a deck in it's early days before Konami made any proper support for it. ie, playing toons before toon dark magician girl came out. Like he was playing such a nerfed version of the irl fossil deck holy cow.
Yuma & Kite Vs Quattro & Trey
Yuma & Kite Vs Mizar
Yuya Vs Declan
Joey Vs Ziegfried
Akiza Vs Misty

Jaden Vs Viper
Man, that was actually pretty amazing. Your commentary about the duels made them even better. I'll always remember now how badass Axel was.
Woooooo just gotta out of work and greeted with some good good
Do yusi vs zone please
1) We needs more main deck Evil Heroes (evil version of the vanilla heroes with effects themed after their support cards)
2) We need Evil counterpart to the HERO cards
3) We need Cyrus to bite the dust so Darkness Super Polymerization can be a thing. And while we're at it, other Dark Gaia like fusion monsters that use Machines, Dragon, Plant, Thunder, Psychic, Cyberse, Spellcaster, Zombie, Beast, Dinosaur,
Beast-Warrior, Winged Beast, Fire and Water.
4) More Volcanics (let them be a/the defacto main deck fire archtype - more fire monsters in general are needed)
5) Yubel , the Hero Kids, Winged Kuriboh, Wroughtweiler, Dark Blade, Sonic Duck, Guardian Baou, Garma Sword, King of Yamimakai, Vampire Lord should become a Link support for the Evil Heroes; And see what can be done with the rest of the Supreme Kings army.
2 of my favorite duels of the entire Yugioh franchise ❤
Not necessarily related to the video but when i was watching GX for the first time ever the tonal whiplash that occurred during season 3 was so jarring for me. Like i was legitimately shook when bodies began dropping half way through and the match where jaidens friends were sacrificed had me contemplating whether this was ever a kids show to begin with. Shit was dope though looking back. Its the type of feeling you rarely get from shows these days with the by the book nature of everything.
the censorship 4kids does makes it scary since its so confusing when they cut bits out lol.
I mean, Season 3 had some brutal stuff even before the halfway mark.
I wished we could off seen what Neos looked like if he was evil but at least it gives Bladedege screen time for Season 3 unlike Season 2. Yeah I know he is Malicious Edge but still and the return off Rampart Blaster Infernal Sniper last time used was against Zane Season 1 Finale. But Honestly I wished it was Syrus who saved Jaden and made him lose. as it would mark how much respect Syrus has for Jaden and see how much they were building for this big showdown.
Evil Hero Neos would go against the plot.
Bladedge also epically won him the game against Baou.
Ngl these duels are awesome. I loved Jaden as the Supreme King. I kinda wish he went full Supreme King against Yubel. Keeping the helmet as a souvenir.
A duel that really pisses me off is Yuto vs Yugo. This duel kills of easily the best Yu-boy and I’ve wondered if Yuto could’ve won or not. I think he could’ve but Yugo had unknown set card he didn’t use. Would it have confirmed his win or was it unusable.
Or Dark Fusion as one. It’d been cool to see him utilize some Evil heroes for good
Yay, I always thought these duels should be analyzed
The most unrealsitic thing in all of Yu-Gi-Oh is seeing Jaden able to pick up his unsleaved cards whilst wearing armoured gauntlets
Who's here after the reveal of the New Evil Support?
Me!
Me too
Supreme King could have beat Axel on his first turn if he had 2 Copies of Wild Cyclone. Dark Fusion Wild Cyclone, Dark Calling Wild Cyclone, Normal Clayman. Attack with 1 Wild Cyclone, Clear Backrow, Swing for game. 1900 + 1900 + 800 on an empty board.
Could you do Axel vs trueman? That duel is pretty grim and I'm wondering if axel could have one.
I do love that duel. Symbolism and thematics to be had and observed
Was Axel about to win? What made him lose was a battle-counter when he could have just not attacked and won to his opponent self-burning with the boss monster. So I'd say yes.
We know ya love the Supreme King, Sam. It's just like your Zane Truesdale crush lol
You could make the argument for The Supreme King going for Infernal Wing due to Jaiden being part of him as he'd normally go for Flame Wingman when the materials are available.
I loved both duels , but some of the dialogue was poor
The Supreme King summons the Spell Card Dark Calling ?
Lighting Golem attacks twice ? Infernal Gainer’s effect wasn’t used on the card and its effect activated against Jim , not the first attack 🤦🤦🤦
7:45 Fun fact: in the Tag Force games, where Jim's Deck did actually exist (not the same effects as what got eventually printed in the TCG), the names of the Fusions actually do follow the [Cenozoic/Mesozoic/Paleozoic] naming convention, even outside of Japan.
Edit: 21:42 he explains Infernal Sniper's immunity because he wants to crush Axel's hope & fill him with panic & terror like he did with Jim before killing him.
He basically said 'you know your go-to out to powerful monsters, the cornerstone of your whole strategy? Yeah that's completely useless against this card so I hope you've got a backup plan or you'll (ironically) burn to death lmao'
This video was awesome!! Jim is one of my fav in gx🥰. I wonder if you can do yuzu/Zuzu vs sergey, I wonder if she could’ve had won🤔
When Jim had fossil dyna pachycephalo on his side of the field the Supreme king shouldn't have been able to summon lighting golem .#shenanigans
The Supreme King arc is a great arc. The only thing I wish that happened differently is who defeated him. Axel/Austin is okay, but I do wish it was anyone that Judai had an actual friendship, preferably Chazz.
Cyrus has more thematic weight. He could have been supported by Aster and Zane too
@@TheKpa11you expect a spineless coward to do anything?
The same unlikable coward that didn't even try to help Jaden in anyway and just stood back even gaslighting Jaden?.
Never.
Zane or Aster would have been the better choice. Also how do you expect Syrus to win. His deck is beyond garbage
@@soukenmarufwt5224
Well he fought Zane with what he had, but He’s not written very well development wise overall.
He has a basic arc set up, but he takes too long to get to the point of overcoming it. Instead they make him the friend to simply “watch” Jaden. To metaphorically be at his side and aid from afar
Still had they let him duel regardless, he probably would have put up a better fight, his deck does have strats to allow him to be strong
@@TheKpa11 I can see this it could have been the glow up moment Cyrus could have gotten. But, alas, didn't.
@@soukenmarufwt5224 Zane or Aster could be, but I do think they are better to duel when Jaden was freed.
Fun fact: at 14:09, when Jim attacks the Supreme King with Gaia Plate, there's an animation error. The Supreme King's life points read 1600 when he actually has 1650. So if you do the math as a result of the error, Jim would've won.
Oh thanks for that, that’s why I was confused
Seriously Axel was best thing that happened to season 3
17:22 you see the Supreme king hand. Yet no where does he use a pot of greed or any kinda draw card. If you listen to the cards he uses as the duel goes on that would be impossible. Even has hand would be small. So the cards he gets is a elemental hero burstinatrix and then fuses it with Clayman using Dark Calling. He never had or drew into malicious Edge because he draw infernal Prodigy. You can even see in the video he still had two cards left. Yet he never used any drawing effect until he tributed infernal prodigy. So if his hand was what you said and he used everything then he actually cheated. Mostly the show cheated for him and would make sense on why his Clayman was in the GY. Now you could say he drew it as his 6th card but you show all 6 of his cards that he start with.
I didnt remember Jim's duel being so close so really enjoyed this breakdown, must admit it's a bit weird hes lacking those grave yard effects I mean they are fossils, they should have more effects in graveyard lol intrested if they got more support comming??
Was Vetrix about to beat Yumi/Astral during the finals of the World Duel Carnival? That would be interesting to see
Ain't nothing better than playing yugioh and getting a tgc anime video
Bruh the idea of the Fossil monsters having their era in their name is such a cool idea for design space
Theres type based support for Rock/Dino, then you can have "Fossil" support that works for all the monsters, then more specific support for the different eras. It could sort of be like the LV monsters since theres "upgrading" the monsters
What I think you made a mistake, when did the Supreme King draw malicious edge. His opening hand had Avian, Wildheart, Clayman, dark fusion, dark calling, and evil blast. Next turn draws vicious claw, then burstinatrix, then evil hero internal prodigy. 23:20
@TSGAnime
IMO Syrus should have dueled the supreme king since syrus and jaden are best friends
The only reason The Supreme King could summon Dark Gaia was because he & jim were dueling infront of his castle, otherwise Super Poly couldn't bring out Dark Gaia (i choose to believe this is the case)
Who needs to use a field spell when you just be at the _actual_ castle.
Funny meme, but anime-Super Poly actually just bypasses requirements for specific fusion cards.
I think that's just his Darkness Powers coming into play
The Supreme King could have won earlier. I honestly don't think that Axel could have won without that counter trap.
The supreme king should be thanking the gods dark fusion unbricked his hand.
He is the protagonist so that power is influencing him
Fun fact: they have just made fire recovery in real world!
This gonna be a good one
CLAYMAN HAS NO ALTERNATE EVIL PRINTS AND YOU CAN'T CONVINCE ME THAT HE HAS OR EVER WILL HAVE.
He's just a nice fella, with a clay body built to last
Jim could’ve easily defeated the supreme king if he had use sakuretsu armor on malicious edge instead of wasting it on infernal wing as it was protected by traps that turn
But that would require him to know that info. Which in the anime you don’t know unless you’ve ran into it previously or the opponent tells you.
@@nightwing179it would’ve been better risking losing 2100 life points then losing the duel
@@carlosmiravete1159 but he didn’t know that Infernal Wing was immune to traps. Plus it was very early into the duel too.
I remember that bloody Solo Gate in SP Challenge 2 where you had to take on the Supreme King with a combined Jim & Axel Deck, what a pain in the arse that was, let me tell you! He seemed to be able to get two Malicious Bane out every time! I did it, though, I persevered and bloody well did it! Funnily enough, thanks to those Legendary Duelist Season 3 boxes, in my course to get all the Promo Cards, I now have nearly a playset of all Evil HERO cards! And I think it worked as well, with Supreme King Jaden, that cold indifference, a stark contrast to the psychotic and seemingly increasingly twisted Melvin at Battle City!
Jaden IS the Supreme King! There is no other! Nobody else carries that title! That poser? He's an imposter, he is NOT the Supreme King, he has no right to call himself such!
Also, I wonder how long it's been since Volcanics got some support...? If only someone could tell us...
Axel is most underrated character in GX
YES MORE SUPREME KING CONTENT I LOVE HIM
...Jim DIES???? I only know of him from the game, not the anime at all yet. This may be the first I have seen. He fastly became one of my favorites in the list on DL. Fossils CAN "ROCK"! I lucked out the other day with the hybrid deck I primarily play Jim with, involving Skullgios and possible ALSO Skull King...I forget what else was on the field but I SLAYED.
I think I know why the Supreme King told Axel the protection effect. Its one part "fair play" since this is while Jaden was begining to come out, the other the supreme king's villainous MO, basically crushing an opponent and backing them into a corner, showing that no matter what they do, they will fail. So by telling Axel this, he is basically saying, "I am so powerful I can counter literally everyplay you make"
So basically, Jim could have won if he'd read Dark Fusion's protection effect and held onto Sakaretsu Armour to use it on Malicious Edge. SK Jaden needed Malicious to stay on the field to keep Jim on the defensive- without it, Jim likely would have been able to win, potentially before the Supreme King can make Lightning Golem, and definitely before drawing into Super Poly and making Dark Gaia.
Amazing
Thaht'z-too-bad, 'cause probably when da 140th-episode of YGOGX is finished, "TO BE CONTINUED..." words could possibly really ought 2 b added to da screen bottom all-the-time/all-along!
This is still my absolute favourite segment in all of Yu-Gi-Oh, the entire Dark World arc is the best story the franchise has ever told and the Supreme King mini-arc is the best part of it.
It's honestly really sad that the characters from Season 3 barely got enough screentime to make us feel for them.
Like, I was surprised when Yubel possessed Jesse, but I didn't really care?
It's sadly one of the worst paced seasons in the series in my opinion since there is a lot of nothing going on and then it blitzed through a ton of plot.
Please do was Sartorius about to beat jaden
Imagine not going to duel academy to learn how to pronounce children’s trading cards.
