- To celebrate my aunt's birthday, we have a perfect Parisian day. We visit the Musee Camondo, which is an inspiring turn of the 20th century mansion, filled with the finest art and furniture from the 18th century. After soaking up all that beauty, we have a big family gathering in the Bel Canto restaurant 💙

I have never had a jealous bone in my body. But I envy the relationship that your aunt and uncle have for each other. I lost my husband 10 years ago and I thought that was most awful thing that could ever happen and then my son died of Covid in 2020. It’s hard for me to live this life of grief and loss. When I watch your videos it brings me so much joy and hope. Thank you

There are soooo many museums in Paris that it is overwhelming to make choices of which one to see. At least you now have a wonderful excuse to go back soon.
What a magnificent palace and its frozen in time. Yes, the history is sad, but there is love and beauty there as well, How fascinating. Auntie was a glow with joy, and yes she has beautiful elegant style herself. Lovely restaurant and Amaury is such a loving gentlemen.

A wonderful vlog to celebrate Tatinette's birthday, it was lovely to see her so happy. The Chateau was stunning yet practically designed for the original owner and his family. It was lovely to see the loving affection between Amaury and his mother and the deepening love between Amaury and Nati
I have been very lucky and have visited this amazing musee several times when in Paris. There is another lovely musee in a private home called the Musee Jacquemart-Andre, this too has an interesting backstory but not as tragic as the Musee de Camondo. The first time we visited Musee Camondo the big door to the courtyard was closed but the smaller door within this door was open. We just stepped in and wandered around the courtyard towards the entrance to be met by a very surprised staff member, the musee was not open...when we apologised and told him that the door was open he asked us to wait a minute and he went off for a few minutes and came back with tickets for us to visit the next day. How special and nice of him. I adore your beautiful coat Stephanie.
I started and ended absolutely 😭! It made me so very sad about the family who owned this home that are all now dead, especially from being in the concentration camps and then tears of joy for your aunt’s fabulous party. I absolutely loved the middle. There aren’t words to describe the beauty, good taste and unbelievable effort that went into the building and furnishing of it. There can’t for me be a favorite because each room made me feel so at peace. Some interiors are so over the top that they don’t interest me but this home you can feel the love and planning that went into each space. It’s definitely a place I’ll visit if I ever get back to Paris. “Happy Birthday” to your sweet aunt and “Hello” to Nati’s beautiful family! Can’t wait to see them all at Lalande!
I remember when you went two years ago, and at that time i put this Museum in my list of places to visit when I get the chance to go to Paris, such a beautiful Maison! I love that everything has been left as when people used to lived there. PS.: you look amazing in Tiffany's blue :)

The entire Camondo mansion is an exquisite work of art. What more can be said, the home and its furnishings are ne plus ultra. I'm sure Stephanie and Philip have picked up many exciting ideas to add to Lalande's ever-evolving grandeur as a premier French chateau. Perhaps installing bells to call for tea, some wine or whatever might be desired is something now on the 'to do' list.

Such synchronicity - there is an Istanbul connection with the Camondo family there is a huge set of steps in central Istanbul near where their home was. Best from Turkey.
I particularly loved the way in which the somewhat ornate gold frame around the windows and draperies seems to make the view outside seem as if it's a painting - a piece of art to be admired and not just the everyday boring world outside.
Also Chantal's accent is too cute. "Zis woom is so kwoozy!"

My husband and I visited this house museum a couple years ago and it is also our favorite in Paris. Musee Camondo is beauty and tragedy all in one. Not to be missed if you love beautiful homes. Can't wait to see it again.

What an amazing palace of a home, now a museum. The center rotund paintings love the doves painting. Priceless furniture carefully picked and placed by its owner. Every set of silver and the China has its own room! So beautiful. Surroundings of beauty now Loved by all.

Stephanie, what a great way to celebrate Tatinette's birthday. You look gorgeous in your powder blue coat and scarf. I share that feeling of being at home in 18th century style residences. I have decided that I was a member of the Rohan family in a previous life and refer to the Hotel Soubise Rohan in Paris and the Rohan Palace in Strasbourg as my family's homes. I think there is one in Normandy as well--I did not make it to that one when I visited that area. Also love the Musee Jacquemart Andree, the Musee Carnavalet, and the Musee Cognacq-Jay for 18th century decorative arts. A story about boiserie: I didn't know it was called that when I saw a three-dimensional set at a Royal Street New Orleans, Louisiana antique store. I spoke of it admiringly to the proprietor. He said that he had purchased it for his home, insisting that it would fit; but alas, it did not. At least he was able to put it up for sale in his shop, which, like others on the same street, have been in business for over a century. Although 150 years is not a long time in Europe, it is in the U.S.; and, I think 150 years is a long time for a business anywhere. Thanks for taking us along. For once I'm kind of envious!

Happy Birthday! It's wonderful to see a home such as this preserved. It preserves the legacy of the family and of French antiquities. Very emotional indeed of learning about his son in World War 1. I can imagine there was a lot of inspiration to take back to LaLande. Vive la France!

What an amazing place, but such a heartbreaking history! There was such beauty everywhere my eyes looked, but there was one exquisite sight in particular, I must say, that my eyes kept going back to over and over, and that, Stephanie, was YOU! That amazing shade of blue in that lovely fur collared coat, paired with that luscious and perfectly matching scarf, and finished off with that darling dragonfly! You've looked amazing in so many colors, but seriously, this one tops them all!
