I am Mexican and I'm just starting to eat African and Caribbean foods and I love it! It has so many layers of flavors just like Mexican food. I'm so glad I found your channel. Your dishes are AMAZING!!
Alot of mexican foods along with other latin foods are based from spain... indigenous and african ancestry. Notice how African people and Latin people of the diaspora eat beans...rice...plaintains? The heat n spices are similar. Hence is to why u have afro latinos and afro mexicans in Oaxaca Mexico and the pacific coastal regions of Mexico. We are as one
@@KwankyewaasKitchen Seasoning meat ee normally add pepper, any pepper of your choice, I mostly prefer using the green hor pepper, to the spices when blending. Thks
This reminds me so much of my mother's cooking, and the spread of different dishes definitely reminds me of Sunday lunches. Your patois, too, reminds me of mammy cooking and talking with the grown-ups and laughing, and we children just looking on, not knowing what they were talking about, but loving the air of excitement and family. I'm from the Caribbean.
I must say I tried this recipe and while I did add some additional ingredients to supplement for what I didn’t have it still turned out amazing!
