I am Filipino and we cook fried rice with steamed rice cooked the night before. The next morning its cold and ready to be used. This is a new way for me to cook fried rice. Uncooked rice boiled in chicken stock. Yummy!

I made this about three months ago and forgot to comment that it was absolutely delicious! My only substitutions were that I make a shrimp broth by simmering shrimp shells in organic veggie broth and used frozen peas instead of carrots. I was worried about using the fresh ginger, but it really added an extra layer of flavor. Overall, a great recipe!

Ok I just made this n it came out perfect, I used a chicken cube cause I had no chicken stock or broth n I used half tumeric n half curry also I used 1 tablespoon sesame oil n 1 tablespoon vegetable oil to fry up the onions before cooking my rice, it came out perfect !!! I love it 😀 😍 ❤

This fried rice has been made for two potlucks with two different groups and it has a hit on both occasions. The first time I made this for a group, it was for my last day at my previous job. R Bradby Ingredients 4 cups rice 1.5 cups pan drippings from baked chicken or 2-3 cups chicken stock 3-4 medium sized onion 3-4 tsp curry powder 3 or more tablespoons soy sauce 2 LB shrimp or chicken already cooked 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon salt (I put in 2 pieces of bacon crumbled) 80grams fresh ginger root or 1 tsp ginger 1.5 cups carrots, julienned/ i used 1 green pepper instead 3 tablespoons cooking oil 5.5 oz scallions 3-5 large eggs Saute onions, spring onions, and green pepper in cooking oil. Add scrambled eggs, spices. Add rice and stock. Mix well. Meat can be added or eat meatless. Can be spicy so make adjustments as needed.

As many others have noted, this recipe is a bonafide INSTANT HIT! Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing it. I made it last week for our hungry family of 5 and am making it again tonight. The only piece that made me nervous was cooking the rice (but I'm a nervous wreck with rice in general). It all worked out well, I'm a fan + subscribing!
No worries! I use the Success rice boil in a bag. I think you're supposed to put it in the water first and bring to a boil. I always bring my water to a rolling boil then add the bags 5 or 10 minutes and you're good to go!!!
So I made this and let me tell you it is requested so much. I also added crab meat to mines. So delicious. I also used ginger powder instead of the grated ginger due to me not having any but it was perfect. 🫶🏾👏🏾👏🏾
