Throwing a CPU into this test with over 3 times the cache without mentioning 1% low scores is not right. Clock-for-clock, the 5800X3D is not faster, in fact it's even clocked lower most times. But the giant cache makes a dramatic change on 1% lows. Average fps doesn't change much as you discovered but frame times will be allot better on the 5800X3D. Framedrops can make games feel like a stuttering mess and 1% lows are just as important as avg fps scores.
I would say 1% lows are more important! Just have to look at the Arc GPUs to realize this 😂 looks good on paper but the stuttering mess that they are make them crap
@@YOUNGBOYFAN123 All components will stutter occasionally, they key is to try to minimize it as much as possible. That CPU will be fine but you'll unlock more potential by getting a 5800x3d, especially the 1% lows! It also depends on the games you play and your monitor refresh rate. If you have a 120Hz or less monitor don't even bother upgrading the CPU. If you have a 144+ then definitely upgrade bc that card pushes a lot of frames at 1080p, e-sports titles can be 200 fps+ but if you play games that are more graphically intense then use your current CPU as you'll probably be in the 60-120 range
I'm using a 5600 with a 6900xt for the same reason. I upgraded from a rx 5700 and that was so much of an improvement that I didn't need to upgrade my cpu.
Cool video, I was planning on using a 5600 with a 6700XT, and after seeing the results here I'm thinking it won't bottle neck at all. Thanks for the info.
This is a great combo that is still recommended as value build. In Starfield it should get 60fps at 1080p with mostly high settings in cities like New Atlantis (def higher outside of cities) and can even do other titles at 1440p no problem.
I'm not that obsessed to upgrades but having a R5 5500 came from an ancient relic AMD a8 7600 is so good. Maybe I'll buy 7800xt to retire my rx 580. Great vid as always but why subs so low, this is injustice!
If you only have the R5 5500, you are far better getting a 7600XT or 7700XT than the 7800XT, it would be a colossal waste of money. Or even a better bet, the 6700XT, can get them sub 200 and they are a prime 1440 gaming gpu.
@@dalehammers4425 what if i have a amd ryzen 5 2600x six core? Would that be good with the RX 7800XT or should i upgrade my cpu to a 5500x? I keep crashing in a game so thats why im upgrading
Seems like an oversight in a cpu test to put the heaviest load on the gpu always running ultra+RT(especially cyberpunk). It is know that nvidea wins big time on RT performance. So maybe ppl who buys 7800xt are not aiming for RT and maybe some of them don't see a big difference inbetween high and ultra and preffer a smoother expérience. Would there be a a bigger percentage of fps for the X3D cpu or would it scale the same if ran on high with no RT?
Thank you so much for this video I've been long debating if I really needed the 5800X3D with the 7800XT but now I feel far more confident buying this processor with this GPU.
thank you for the video, have the 5600X paired with rx 6650 XT, sorta struggles with 1440P playing mainly MW3. Was looking to upgrade GPU to the 7700 XT but wanted the 7800XT and was worried about bottleneck.
Thanks for this Video. I'm think about Upgrading my GPU to the 7800XT; Bought a New 750 Watt PSU in preparation for this Upgrade. I'm currently running an AMD Ryzen 5600X CPU, on a Gigabyte B450 AORUS ELITE V2 Motherboard, so It's a Relief to know my CPU won't be a Cause of Bottleneck!
My Ryzen 5600 paired with Radeon 6800 and 16gb 3200 cl16 RAM on 1440p 165Hz monitor. They are good matched, but occasionally my 6800 is running below 80%-90% Utility on same game. I will spend a bit more for Ryzen 7600 on a new system as DDR5 RAM is so cheap now, but not worth for upgrade if you already got 5600.
This is kinda where I stand, I have the 5800X and the 6700XT and not really worth upgrading without going AM5 which I cant afford to swap completely right now.
That's odd it seems. My 6800 runs 99% when paired with R7 1700X. Can't go any higher than a 6800 though. I tried the 7800XT with the 1700X and it was only running 60-70%.
Built my very first pc a month ago. Went with a 5600x and 6700xt. Now, I'm about to get a 7800xt.. and instead of getting a slightly better cpu, I'm going to save up for an AM5 build.
@@Zombie101 I decided to anyway. I realized if I was getting a new GPU, case, and psu I might as well get a motherboard, ram, and cpu for my brother. Now I have two systems. One is a 5800x3d and 7800xt and the other is a 5600x and 6700xt.
6800 XT and 7800 XT are pretty much at same spot performance wise, but yeah 5600 will run it just fine, with some exception (BG3 act 3, CPU bottleneck sure to be had)
Thanks for the video, I just ordered my 7800 XT and I was wondering if my 5600X will be a huge bottlneck. Seem like in the grand picture it’s a very solid pairing
@@FJ1903 i know but the lower the resolution you can isolate the CPU so we see the differences. At 4k for example we would see not difference in the CPUs
Running a Ryzen 5600 x with power colours hellhound spectral white 16gb rx 7800 xt and it’s a beast ! No issues Getting 100 fps on cyberpunk on ultra @ 1080p and 70 fps @1440p
I’ve learned that in the PC building community they are obsessed with numbers. I’ve requested help with builds and have always been told to go with X although it’s more expensive the performance gain is worth it. Meanwhile I paired a 5500 with a 6700(non-xt) and achieve 60+ fps in almost every game at high-ultra 1440p.
Great build Man. It's a good pairing for full HD. The fact u went AMD AMD works better cause of Smart acces memory. I finished a PC like 1 week ago. 5600 nonx + 6800 nonxt. I never go over 60%cpu usage and above 60 degrees on both procesor and videocard.
Numbers represent your experience most of the time. But that heavily depends on what you play. There was literally no difference between X and non X CPUs over the years - even the lower TDP ones were en par when optimized. But the 5500 is a Cezanne/16mb L3 Cache CPU as the G ones, the rest of the line is Vermeer 32 - 64mb cache. The X3D has 96mb V-Cache (Vermeer-X), that's a big difference.
i have the 5600x paired with the 7800xt 😂 i did have a rx6600 but just decided to upgrade the gpu recently.. its been performing fine from what ive seen!
Great video. I just upgraded from a 1080ti to a 7800xt and was considering to upgrade my cpu from a 5600x to 5800x3d aswell, but thats totally not worth it right now
the 5800X3D is a much smoother experience due to significantly higher lows than the 5600X. He only shows avg here and not the lows, which is where the x3d model shines.
I think the 5700x will be a good balance of Price to Performance with the 7800 XT as it is around $170-180 but gives 8 cores which help especially for 1% lows over the 5600x.
Exactly the information I need. I am hesitating between 5600 + rx 6800 and 5600+ Rx 7800xt. While Rx6800 is great, I want new card but I am also worried about CPU bottle neck. (thought about going am5 but that's another 150+ dollars I feel like not worth it). Now seeing your video and comments below I am going 7800xt. Will come back and share some thoughts when build finished. Good video!
Uh 6800 to 7800xt? You aren’t even getting much of a uplift you are pretty much going from 6800 to 6800xt so you wasted 500 bucks You need to put it in something more meaningful; at least aesthetics makes you feel better but theres no inherent difference between 7800xt and 6800xt so if you were thinking about jumping a big gap then you waited a long time just to stay the same specs AM5 is more expensive than $150 with how motherboards are at least 120 and ram isn’t under 80 so not sure if cpu is going to give anything for gaming
1% lows = micro stutters/lag spikes. The x3d CPU's guarantees a smooth experience much better than the other 2 on the FPS dips. Heck, the extra cores/threads on the 5800x3d is always nice in both gaming and production and background tasks such as streaming/recording while gaming at the same time. There is more to it than just average FPS alone.
Very few people need these cpus for anything more than gaming. All those things you listed are just marketing selling points you can stream just fine on just about any CPU.
@@luism8130 A smoother vs stuttery mess makes all the difference if you want to do competitive gaming though. So its not merely marketing selling points, its literally the entire point of the X3D. If you want to spend less then get the 5600X3D instead of the 5800X3D, but to compare these 3 without showing lows is dishonest. If you are just some random gamer that mostly does single player and such, yeah it doesnt matter, but the moment you go against others it means all the world of difference.
You're not doing competitive gaming with Cyberpunk 2077. For competitive gaming you'll choose a better CPU, and just decent graphics card. For that you don't need a beast that is 7800xt.
That would be a crazy jump in performance. The 7800xt obliterates the gtx1650. So yeah, you can do that and it will improve your gaming dramatically. I would recommend you upgrade your cpu next. I didn't mention it but 1% and 0.1% lows will be so much better with a R7 or even a R5 5600X. But yeah I would upgrade your gpu before your cpu in your case.
I have a 5500 and a 7800xt the cpu bottle neck is pretty damn bad😂 everything still runs great specially considering im on a higher refresh rate 1080p monitor instead of a 1440p one, but i am realizing the 7800xt was wayy overkill for 1080p
I have this exactly build, its a really good one but my friend with a 5800X3D and a 3070 ti had way higher and stable fps in many games, is it worth it to get the 5800X3D if i can?
@curto8101 hmm I'm curious to know what fps he's getting and at what resolution Games like MW2 1440p Max I'm getting 230+ Alan Wake 2 90-120fps 1440p max AC MIRAGE 140+ Idk if I'll be worth it to upgrade to a 58003d rn since you won't be able to upgrade past that in the future If you don't care I'll 100% get you Maybe 30-40frames or more if you do get a 5800x3d
@@RemyBDP Im playing at 1080p but im thinking of upgrading to 1440p in a near future, he was also playing at 1080p, in GTA RP he had constant 140 fps in the city while i was oscillating between 60 and 80, sometimes 100. Whenever the game has too many thingS on the screen my fps goes down. In Horizon Zero Dawn, in villages with many NPCs i drop to 90 fps 100, in the wild i get between 180 and 240 fps. Yeah i know that i wont be able to upgrade from a 5800X3D but i dont want to get to AM5 already, everything is so expensive, the 5800X3D + 7900xt will work for a long time i think.
@curto8101 ah I see that's the bottleneck yeah a 5600x is gonna struggle with 1080p if your planning on moving to 1440 I'll do just fine If you continue to play 1080 that's where a 3d will shine the most A 5800x3d + 7900xt will last %100 I don't plan on upgrading my 5600x unless I see a reason to
I'm my country, brand new R5-5800X3D cost US$ 355, R5-5600X cost US$ 166, and R5-5500 cost US$ 92 So in the context of Content-Creation (video editing/processing, streaming, etc) is R5-5500 the better price/performance at the moment? or better find second-hand cpu or uhm.. intel?
I upgraded my pc awhile back, went from an i5 2500k, 1060ti to the r5 5500, 6650xt. Using an lg 1440p 165 hertz monitor. Im satisfied with the results.
I just ordered a 7800 XT, currently running a 3800x cpu which I won't be upgrading for probably another couple years. Swapping out my 5700 XT. Generally look for 3 to 5 years at least from a GPU but that depends on games released that interest me!
I got 7800xt and 5600x ... pepole saying cpu is bottleneck but like 5% in 1440p is nothing so not worth more money... and this video prove my opinion😊...and just for game 😅... thanks ❤
yeah going 5600 + 6800 XT here, spending 300+ dollars on 5800X3D is not worth the extra few fps, may switch to am5 in the future while keeping the GPU probably
All this video did was prove he wasnt willing to show the 1% and .1% lows. Because that is where the X3D utterly crushes the other 2. Yeah, they have decent averages, but their lows are horrible where the X3d cpu's are buttery smooth. Thats literally their purpose. Its also why for anything OTHER than gaming, the 5800X destroys the 5800X3D. Which is why I cringed when he did cinebench and such comparing the 3.
Thanks for this. I had a suspected motherboard failure last week and bought a cheap board to test my existing CPU, a 2600, but after I installed it I realised that it didn't support CPUs older than the 3000 series. So I'm on the hunt for a CPU a little earlier than I expected - I bought a 6800 XT last summer and soon realised the 2600 is a huge bottleneck. Others had suggested the 5800X3D but when I saw how close the 5600X ran it in other benchmarks, especially considering I only game in 1080p, at half the price it seemed a no brainer and this video's confirmed that.
I hav a 7800xt and r5 3600 so its bottlenecking is by always 20-25% still getting above 100 fps in all games expect cyberbug 2077 I think i need to upgarde to 5600x
I love my 5800X, paired with a 6700XT and does anything I need it to do. I have a 4k monitor so can do some gaming in 4k, but it dominates in the 1440 range. I cant afford to upgrade my gpu til next year, but by then I think I'm gonna upgrade to the AM5 platform.
I have an rx 5600x processor and I was really wondering if it would work with the 7800xt graphics card. But would it work with the rtx 4700? Thanks for the video.
Its cool you put the performance percentages in but missed the boat by not including price percentages. I added them as of 5/4/24. So basically to go from the 5500 to 5800x3D it cost you 239% more to gain 13.5% performance with a 7800XT. If you have a 5600x it costs 168% more for 8% performance. It doesn't make sense to upgrade from those. To go from a 5500 to a 5600x you pay 27% more to get 6% performance, but you get PCI 4.0 and double the L3 cache. It's worth thinking about for sure at current Amazon prices. For an extra $25 I would do it. Over all good video though. Thanks.
My conclusion from this video is that I can pair my 5600G with a 7800XT. I really appreciate you making this video for people like me who need to upgrade their builds without spending too much money, thank you.
Right now i have 5600x with rx6600xt and i didn`t hope to find a comparison with rx7800xt to see if there is any bottleneck. But i`m glad you did it and i decided that there is no point in changing the cpu. And i`m also surprised to see how well the 5500 performed. Thanks for the video.
i have the 5600 and rx 6600, do you think its worth it to upgrade to 7800xt if i upgrade my monitor to 1440p 144hz too, or should i wait for rx 8000 or nvidia 5000?
@@dariosucevac7623 i think is worth it. If you upgrade the cpu to 5800x3d, which i will do it, 5 or 6 years we should be ok. I wanted to upgrade to ryzen 7000 gen but is not stable yet so it`s not the right time, that`s why i chose to stay on AM4. Tomorrow my GPU will arrive. I can`t wait😁
but what if I get myself a 5700X3D for £200/$258.88 instead of the 300+ 5800X3D? i've even seen big youtube channels claim the 5800X3D is just an overclocked version of the 5700X3D anyway, but that aside I am worried about pairing my 5500 with a RX 7800XT. (currently got 5500 paired with a POS RTX 3050)
I would say the testing as presented misses a major advantage of the 5800x3d...the 1% lows. I have owned and gamed extensively with both the 5800x3d and the 5600x and there is a huge difference in overall smoothness to the game play. The 5600x is a good chip...but the 5800x3d kicks it's butt and takes its lunch money when it comes to 1% lows. There are places where the 5600x lags to 60-70 fps in Cod MW2 multiplayer even though the average FPS is over 120. Using the same system but swapping in the 5800x3d had no lag at all and the average FPS jumps all the way to my manually set in-game 144fps cap and rarely drops below it...1% lows are about 120fps. It's simply not the same gaming experience even though the average FPS is close.
I for some reason feel it was intentionally done like this for the video, which makes it dishonest really. The whole point of the X3D is for the lows, its a MUCH smoother experience.
@@Ashleycb97 Depends on the gpu really. The lows are where the X3D actually dominates. The extra memory pulls ahead for the smoother performance. Regardless of resolution.
Wait you were benchmarking at *1440p ultrawide* - a resolution where the gpu is extremely taxed and yet you're saying you have no problems pairing those budget cpu's with the gpu? Are you for real?
i'm using a 5600 and 3060 and playing on a 1080p/75hz monitor. I think I would benefit most from a faster refresh and/or higher resolution monitor followed by a better gpu before the cpu becomes the limiting factor.
I would love to see 5600x3d instead on 5800x3d to see how much difference 3d cache makes. 8 cores chips are better for 7800XT this is clear but 5600X is great pair as bottleneck is minimal and game dependant.
This is pretty helpful as I'm currently using a 5600x and trying to avoid replacing the whole cpu. I am wanting to upgrade from an old 6600 gpu and torn between picking up a 6750 (£359), 7700 (£479) or 7800 (£549). Im not sure if itnwould be worth going for the 7800 if the 7700 in theory would have less bottleneck and cancelling out some of the performance difference?
@@JayJay-fl1hc Hey, I'll try and offer what insight I can (honestly I'm not the most savvy compared to others). I'm thinking personally I would opt for the 7800xt while keeping my 5600x processor. I personally would want to avoid spending the £310ish on a 5800x3d for a marginal (imo) increase in performance. As I have a b550 motherboard there isn't really much alternatives for cpus and you would be considering going for an AM5 system and (in my case) would have to replace the motherboard and ram on top of things. The main benefit to changing CPU would be the better 1% lows and a smoother experience overall but not a big boost in gains, again it can be very dependent on the types of games you play In terms of the 7700xt/7800xt bottleneck. I couldn't quite find any benchmarks for that card using a 5600x, the closest comparison would maybe be the 6800 gpu (not the xt version. Personally I think I would opt for the 7800xt still, as the overall performance increase would likely just even out any bottleneck between cards (7800xt is still like 10-15~% better performance) If I was to guess the 5600x + 7700xt or 7800xt may still bottleneck the same, bottlenecking will be unavoidable to an extent without splashing out for a new cpu or AM5 system. I think it may just come down to the type of games and type of player you are, personally I can deal with some dips hear and their so long as I'm not going below the 60-72fps threshold. The 1% lows may be a big issue for you? Tbh some of the other comments here and on other videos + reddit, I've seen a lot of people comment they have a 5600x and a 7800xt and some even 7900xt and are very happy with it. I think some bottlenecking is a little overblown and people make the prospect seem terrifying, it really just comes down to whether you think the 1% lows could really bother you. For me I don't think it's worth me upgrading the CPU and I'd rather just hold out with what I have cpu wise as I don't want to completely replace my motherboard and ram. If you have a b650 system you may have better options to change the cpu I'm you want to go AM5? Personally I think I'll plan on changing my gpu to a 7800xt with my current build and hold on as long as I can until I really need to upgrade, at which point I'd just get a completely new rig. Hope that kind of helps(?), tldr didn't quite find out of the 7700xt significantly bottlenecks less, but I tihnk the 7800xt is overall a better value, and other people seem to vouch for it.
Some people would say pairing a 7800xt with a 5600 or 5500 is stupid but many people have quite tight budgets and these processors have great value,so for people that are really trying to min max their budgets these pairing make a lot of sense
To add to this the only kind of people that need higher end processors are content creators,e-sports players cuz muh fps,and non-esports enthusiasts that have plenty of money to throw at the best hardware and fastest monitors
if you are on 1440p its not that bad of a bottleneck, maybe 20% on ultra settings in most games. But 1080p it would be like throwing 2-300 dollaridoos out the window, 50% bottleneck or so
I got that exact same setup, in games like cyberpunk and dead island 2 im hitting 100% cpu usage with everything maxed on 1440. So there is definetely a bottleneck, im thinking of going with 5800x though, the 5800x3d costs about $380 in my country while the 5800x costs $220, im starting to think there is no point going almost double the cost for minimal difference.
@@emanuilnedqlkov206 Definately an option to go with the 5800x to save some money. "Hardware unboxed"' has a comparison video of the 2 cpus (where the gpu is taken out of the equation). In your case with a 7800xt, the 5800x would be a perfect match I think. I'd maybe go with the x3d if you were going even higher on the gpu
This isn’t new to us at 1440p obviously the difference is minimal but the 5600x will bottleneck the 7800xt at 1080p on some games , warzone for example. And the 5800x3d performance would be a big difference

Keep one thing in mind, this video failed to show the 1% and .1% lows, because its not as close of a picture when you do. Though, you could be just fine with the 5600X3D as well now, which is a phenomenal mid tier gaming cpu. But avoid the 5500 at all costs if its for gaming, because its a stuttery mess, regardless of what the averages say.
A 5500 will get the job done better than your 2600. Just keep in mind you'll be slightly bottlenecked. You should still get good fps definitely higher than the r2600 just not as high as a 5600
Hi, i have a 5600 paired with a 6800xt, but i get lower fps on average compared to youtube benchmarks, do you have any idea why? Also it would be cool to compare the 1%lows as those are more indicative to a smoother gameplay experience, than average fps. Happy New year everyone 😅🎉🎉🎉
Maybe you ain't using the default turbo setting of the processor or your lacking of RAM. For games like Last of us or Jedi Survivor is mandatory to have 32 gb of RAM. I've got the same processor with a 6700xt and both games runs smooth.
Thanks for this. I'm on a 3700X coupled with a Red Devil 6700XT playing on a 1440p 244hz screen. No complaints runs great and can max out all games I play with around 100 or more FPS. However, the little one needs an upgrade he currently runs an I5 8400 combined with my old R5700XT. Planning on getting a 7800XT for myself and give the 6700XT to the boy, but guessing that will be severely bottle necked by the I5? If not then no big deal, but if yes then he basically gets my R3700X + 6700XT, but what do I get? 7800XT + 5800X3D? I can then stay on AM4 where mobos and ram is cheap. Going all AM5 will set me back a grand and a half...basically a whole new system bar PSU, Case and SSD.
thats not just bottlenecked its the entire bottle bro ^^ I have a 10600k which is about 50% stronger at 1080p than the ryzen 2600, and I'm still bottlenecking the shit out of my 7800xt on 1080p, even on 1440p. If you somehow get a stronger cpu you would see miracles happen :P
I play Starcraft 👽 on a 5800X3D is about 200% more FPS than any AM4 CPU and is the only CPU able to hit 60 FPS on intense 4VS4 battle. Your Tomb Raider benchmark show the difference.
I didn't buy a 100$cpu but I bought 5600g during late 2021 when it was over 200$ and now I want to pard a GPU with it At first I was thinking any 300$ will be fine for it but I might get a 4k TV So, I'll be needing a bigger GPU And 5600g is nothing but a 5500 with integrated graphics
7700xt, 4060ti, the 7800xt would be nice but there will be a some bottleneck with the 7800xt. I’ve had people in the comments say that the 5600x and the 7800xt has been awesome for them though.
@@andrewsolis2988 can i play games with rx 7800xt and ryzen 5 5600 in 1080p without stuttering ?

@@dalehammers4425 Does that apply to 4k gaming , I've been told even 1% lows are marginal at 4k ?

As I have a b550 motherboard there isn't really much alternatives for cpus and you would be considering going for an AM5 system and (in my case) would have to replace the motherboard and ram on top of things. The main benefit to changing CPU would be the better 1% lows and a smoother experience overall but not a big boost in gains, again it can be very dependent on the types of games you play
In terms of the 7700xt/7800xt bottleneck.
Buy the 7800xt oc version from very if your from the UK! It's the cheapest place once you get the 20% off the gpu to
Using rtx 3060 about for half year with ryzen 5600, pretty decent config but right now i plugged in 7800xt and its like 😮
I was searching for content like this but it's too bad that you didn't include the 1% lows. Great video still, Cheers!
Yeah that’s my bad. I started doing it in my later videos. I might redo this one with 1%lows.
@@TechomodeThanks. Great content still.
Jokes on you. I'm gonna pair the 7800 with a 3600X
if you are on 1440p its not that bad of a bottleneck, maybe 20% on ultra settings in most games.
@@Joegengstah I guess I'll wait for black Friday and get the one with the better discount of the two. :D
@@emanuilnedqlkov206 beautiful, think it will be very enjoyable
I have a prebuilt 5600x with 3060rtx and want to jump to 1440p so the RX 7800xt will work with the 5600x?
Yessir! I just got rid of my 5600x for a 5950. for end of life am4 and for music production. The 5600x Was more than enough paired with a merc 7800xt.
Does this means that the intel 12100/12400 would had similar results?
This isn’t new to us at 1440p obviously the difference is minimal but the 5600x will bottleneck the 7800xt at 1080p on some games , warzone for example. And the 5800x3d performance would be a big difference
I use merc319 7800xt BLACK with ryzen 5 5600x at 4.65 ghrtz. I did overclock and undervolt it. 288 fps in warzone with 141 average on all normal settings 1440p
I have the Ryzen 7 5700x paired with the rx 6650xt. I was considering upgrading to the to the rx 7800xt but the AMD has just released the rx 7900 gre which people have called the real 7800xt, so I wonder how well that will pair with those Ryzen 5000 series cpu's?
I still have a 3600 cpu, just bought a 7800xt
I have a 5600X with a XFX 7800 XT with a 750W PSU. Would you recommend also upgrading my PSU? I don't plan on doing custom overclocking but I want to use AMD Adrenaline built fonctions like the HYPER-RX function. Thanks in advance!
Nah you should be fine with a 750w PSU.
what does the hyper rx do?
@@Techomode I have a 650W PSU. Will it be sufficient for 7800 XT?
@@yankobzykant5579 the minimum requirement is 700w. To be honest it will probably work tho. Unless you have it paired with an i9 or a thread ripper that also uses a lot of power.
@@Techomode Thanks for quick response. I'm going to buy a Ryzen 7 5700X. Also, I don't have any additional PCI cards like TV capture card, sound card etc., which consume some power. So I guess it should be fine.
Why you test amd products with ray tracing when people who buy it prefer play native?
Without 1% lows data, this video only shows half the story.
Got a 5800x and an Rx6950xt...very happy except maybe playing cryengine based games where the 6000 series cards seem to have a problem....anyone else heard this?
Damn. I have 6700xt and r2600 thinking about buying 5500 or 5600. 5500 is 50$ cheaper and if i buy used its even more. Not that many 5600 used atm,. Im going to play in 1080p. Any advice?
for 1080p 5500 gonna do fine, buuuut... if i had 6700 XT, i would switch for 5600 AND 1440 144/165 Hz monitor, the perfect setup 😍
You should still get good fps definitely higher than the r2600 just not as high as a 5600
I have a 5700x and a 5700 XT, this combo is fine, I was thinking of upgrading to 7800 XT without changing CPU, do you think it is a bad idea?
No that’s fine. I wouldn’t change your cpu. I would keep rocking the AM4 cpus for several more years.
Put the Intel Core i9-14900K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D in the test and let's see the difference...
You’re at 1440p of course it’s not going to be a big difference between the cpus
That's because the GPU is a 2K Card.
Going all AM5 will set me back a grand and a half...basically a whole new system bar PSU, Case and SSD.
dont worry my build is messed up i got this gpu with a $25 cpu (ryzen 5 2600) its just a bit bottlenecked and im also in 1080p lol
thats not just bottlenecked its the entire bottle bro ^^
I have a 10600k which is about 50% stronger at 1080p than the ryzen 2600, and I'm still bottlenecking the shit out of my 7800xt on 1080p, even on 1440p.
If you somehow get a stronger cpu you would see miracles happen :P
use VSR and set your game resolutions to 1440p or 4k
yeah i got a 5600x and its better but still a pretty decent bottleneck def an upgrade tho@@Joegengstah
i looked at doing this but i didnt really want to because then i would just be making my gpu do work for no reason and didnt see a point@@smoke9346
so,this conclude that it doesnt bottleneck at all...interesting
Can a r9 5900x handle this gpu in 1440p without a bottleneck??
I play Starcraft 👽 on a 5800X3D is about 200% more FPS than any AM4 CPU and is the only CPU able to hit 60 FPS on intense 4VS4 battle. Your Tomb Raider benchmark show the difference.
Dude, why didn't you benchmark the 1% and 0,1% lows?
Yeah that’s my bad. I started doing that on my future videos.
@@Techomode Its literally the entire point of an X3D vs non for gaming.
How will ryzen 5 3600x perform with rx 7800 xt?
Can't wait to get my hand on 5700X.. but there's rumor about 5700X3D just recently!
lol I hope my 2700x can withstand this gpu. I bought it when drunk without even thinking about how old my cpu is
ya may have 144hrtz monitor but frames above that like 200+ decreases your input latency i believe since you do get better frame times??
thumb down for loudness diffrence lvls - bad for night listening
Would be nice if people did cpu test on GTA online instead of Single player. The performance is vastly different.
I didn't buy a 100$cpu but I bought 5600g during late 2021 when it was over 200$ and now I want to pard a GPU with it
At first I was thinking any 300$ will be fine for it but I might get a 4k TV
So, I'll be needing a bigger GPU
And 5600g is nothing but a 5500 with integrated graphics
Thoughts on using this with a 3600x?
What GPU would you recommend to pair with the 5600x for 1440. lol don’t want the upper and lower body mismatch.
7700xt, 4060ti, the 7800xt would be nice but there will be a some bottleneck with the 7800xt. I’ve had people in the comments say that the 5600x and the 7800xt has been awesome for them though.
wtf the lag on the 5600 is sooo terrible. Why didnt you point it out?
Just wanted to say your cat is cute
