nice bike, got mine last week, also retired. we are at that age we can and have earned what ever we want to do. 30 years from now when were died who the hell cares. enjoy life ever day. c5 is nice too. enjoy and stay wired :)
Like yourself, I've always enjoyed power and speed. My first motorcycle ever was 75 Z1 900 back in 77. I have owned and build muscle cars since I was 16, and I currently have a VERY nice 69 Mach1 sporting a real 71 Boss 351 motor in my garage as we speak. So the 2024 Wired freedom totally makes sense to me as well. Love the Titian Orange, but I got the Blue one. Thanks for sharing .
Mine is blue lot of fun to ride I had to figure out how to lower the seat because I am a little short once I got that done my feet can touch the road now nice ride
Orange is one of my favorite colors. I dont care for the handlebars at all. I just put mountain bike bars on my moped style ebike. Mine were way too high. Allot of work, but i thought it was worth it. I got a handlebar extension for my display. I'm old I like everything low, because im old and skinny. Ride safe.
I live in Canada. Anyone know if customs will give me trouble crossing into Canada with one purchased in the states since they currently are not available in Canada?
I just Googled your question. Canada has some ferocious laws regarding ebikes. Ebikes manufactured outside the US, and Canada don't meet regulation, apparently, and there us a 500w limit on the power. Whether you want to try and get it across by putting it in a pickup truck, and taking a chance......is up to you. Still, if I were you, I'd check with the e-biking community in Canada if there is one. Best wishes...I just ordered my Freedom today. Can't wait to get it in about 10 days. It gets shipped Monday.
KX500,i owned one back in 1989,you had to know how to ride to be able to even start that bike, not for the a novice by no means,i bought this ebike myself, had a craving for something like this without having to pay 7000 dollars for another KX500,when meanwhile i think that bike back in 1989 was around 3000 dollars new, either way im 63 now and a KX500 would probably get me in trouble so now im killing it now on this ebike and having plenty fun on it,stay safe out there on that ebike, its no KX500 but its the next best thing in my world as far as getting my crazy on at this ripe age.
That thing looks like a riot. As these become more powerful, they are going to be regulated somehow. No way around it except to stay under the radar. Mopeds are an example.
Maybe check out the V3 🐐 It’s got everything you’re looking for and much higher speed. Yes it has pedals or pegs you decide. I retired at 53 and needed some exercise. 63 and starting my e-bike journey.
Sorry to hear that you can't get it in Germany. Make friends with an American serviceman. Maybe he/she can get one for you. When I was stationed in Germany, if a German needed something we could get for them, we would gladly do it. Once you take the time to get to know the people, you find they are wonderful people, who value good friends. American servicemen and women value good friends as well. Best of luck. I hope you can get one of these.
great review nice bike now lets talk the law the federal law says no bikes on the road that have a motor more than 750 watts if more you need a motor cycle license like the 49cc gas scooter law over 49cc you need a motorcycle license I live in Massachusetts and they have begun to check because there are so many bikes on the road my friend got pulled over doing 32 mph with a motor of 1000 watts and BAMM he got a 500 dollar fine and told he needed a motorcycle license if he want to ride that bike so the bike sits inhis shop it goes zero mph now with a range of zero miles his wife put a sign on it that just said stupid my point here is please check your local laws shop smart ride safe and have fun
One thing is. The bikes that go 40 plus mph you should really have a plate and the insurance.. Ride it 20 mph if you want or 40 plus if you wish. But then it becomes a hazard like a motorcycle. Insurance would be needed to cover damage. And we all know it wouldn't be allowed on bike paths with a license plate. 10 mph or not. Maybe an E- bike with a license plate could still use bike lanes going bike speeds.. But still needs insurance and proper lights. If fast heavy bikes have a plate then people will be more inclined to obey laws. In order for you to enjoy parks and bike trails like any regular bike you need to have another bike that truly goes under 30 mph. In order for all this to work, every E bike would come with a document you must carry.. Specs and speeds from the manufacturer.. A DMV inspection station will stamp your paperwork approved for bike riding. Or approved for street only. Then you get the insurance and plate as like a motorcycle or a sticker for bicycle use.
I never read whatever you had because it was too long I just wanted you to know you needed to be quiet because you're opinion means about as much as bad acid rain
@@OU812NVME cop will just Google your bike and hand you a ticket for no plate on a bike that goes 30 plus. And you will need paperwork to prove it doesn't go 30 mph plus. Go to Dmv center to have it confirmed by an Ebike professional. Then you have to insure it..get a plate and no more bike rules apply.
You are right about ebikes. I desperately need one to commute but I don't find any good value when it comes to price/performance/low maintenance. I would probably get a wired freedom if it were available in my country as it's the first kind of hub bike I've seen that looks comfortable and has enough power to start up a hill from a dead stop. I'm not against pedaling but I plan to use my motorcycle helmet and gear in wet weather and don't want my bulky pant leg catching on the chain ring or panting like a dog inside a full face helmet.
Enjoyed the video. I love my Wired Cruiser, so fun to jet around the neighborhood.
I’ve had mine for a couple of weeks. Best bang for the $$. Great hill climber.

Ha giving retirement my best try! RUGER
Got one with two more on the way 😎
I too am a C5 Z06 owner and a Titan colored Wired Freedom owner. I love them both!!! The e-bike is insane and shreds steep hills!

I have heard good things about these bikes.. That orange seams to fit you..
I would say its the corvette of ebikes. They're both got good power and low price.

Definitely not boring performance... Its plain jane styling with bmx bars but not ugly. 60v makes up for looks.
Not the wheel struts but the hood struts lol
Goodbye gas prices.
Hi Ruger 👋
I want Power and Range.
How far are you getting atcan average 20MPH ?
Hey there! I go about 35-40 miles before range anxiety completely sets in. Probably could go more but, by that time I'm tired of riding. 👍👍 RUGER
It seems like the display is really dim in several videos I've watched - is it hard to read in sunlight?
I have no problem reading the display. It may not come across correctly in these videos. RUGER
Is the moped style more fun than the bike style e bike?
I think fun depends on acceleration and speed. Which ever is faster, is probably more fun (at least for me). RUGER
Thanks for the vid🙂
