The best thing is it's possible that M'aiq see a dragon before Alduin's return. Bone dragons in some Skyrim dungeon dead dragons in their bruial sites, or Phaartunax. M'aiq exist in the Elder Scrolls online too so i don't know what the hell is his secret but he's damn immortal.
@inuyasharocks333 In Skyrim he says "The Kahjiit change when they come to Skyrim." He's referring to the new character models. And he also says he's looking for a good fable, but hasn't found one. He's referring to the game series "Fable." He's also said many other things that break the fourth wall, but I don't remember all of them.
I liked them too. I liked how the Argonians and Kajiit stood out, making it clear that they were not human, were not related to humans, that they were evolved from something else entirely. I remember in the bloodmoon expansion, there was an Argonian sailor who complains about the difficulty in finding boots that fit him and how cold his feet are as a result
@Moony122092 yeah, but there's also a dialogue that says "M'aiq was soul trapped once, not a very pleasant experience, etc..." so maybe he's M'aiq's son also called M'aiq but got soul trapped and released til Skyrim :D
@Patbad73 He mentions that his fathers name was also M'Aiq, and that his father's fathers' name was M'Aiq. So that explains why you see him in all 3 games. (its not the same M'Aiq you see in all 3 games.)
@Arguingwithmyself1 He makes another reference to the character models. "M'aiq has heard that people in Skyrim more beautiful than in Cyrodil. M'aiq has no opinion. Thinks all people beautiful."
Damnit, I found this guy about two days ago and didn't know the story behind him... although I did steal three skoomas off of him that I've yet to consume or sell. Thanks, M'Aiq!
M'aiq is over 200 years old, and he's voice changes, and that's why we love him. I would love to see a quest with him. And @Fantafrenzy Oblivion is after Morrowind, and Skyrim is after Oblivion and in Morrowind, his name is M'aiq the "Liar" He lied about seeing dragons.
@UnknownZealot77 I'm not an expert, but what I've been told is that if you read the books in Cicero's house, one of them says he kills what was one of your previous characters. I have actually only played Skyrim, but what I thought "arena champion" meant your character from the first game, Elder Scrolls: Arena.
I actually read forums for this conundrum. M'aiq's entire family names the first son M'aiq. So it's just by coincedence all the sons end up in each area you are.
I came across him many times in Skyrim, not once in Oblivion or Morrowind, didn't know he was in TES 3 and 4! Mai'q is either immortal or has had sons named after him xD
I really want Bethesda to explain M'aiq. He's lived for 200 years or so apart from the Magic and Dragons and stuff, The Elder Scrolls games were realistic and logical. When the Elder Scrolls goes to Elsweyre, I want there to be a side quest explaining M'aiq's background. Although, I'd really like the next Elder Scrolls to be set in Hammerfell, with Battlefield 3 Graphics :)
@Eepicman Those people weren't paying much attention. Yes, Cicero killed a grand champion of the arena while pretending to be a fan (kind of like a certain annoying Oblivion character)....The problem the book in question was in a dairy, so he dated the entries. The kill he referred to happened 200 years after Oblivion.
I remember, on Oblivion, M'aiq said "Why you go up when you want to go down" or something along that line which is I knew that he talk about the lack of levitating spell on Oblivion, so I think M'aiq the liar is some kinda 4th wall breaking NPC
@Fishstixj4l Quote from Skyrim M'aiq; "M'aiq's father was also called M'aiq. As was M'aiq's father's father. At least, thats what he said." There you go! It's a huge linage of crazy khajiits :D
He could possibly have been the same character within morrowind and oblivion but with the 200 year gap from oblivion and skyrim he /does/ mention that his father's name was M'aiq and so was his grandfather so in skyrim he's not the same character technically but a descendant from the original to make up for the time gap.
@Prestatron10 Wrong. Your character is different every game. In fact, you meet this jester in Skyrim that you find out later killed the arena champion (i.e, your first character). His name is Cicero.
@Wireheadking M'aiq probably got around and impregnated a khajit female, who had his baby who took his name and continued his job, who then did the same thing. So every M'aiq is a son to the previous M'aiq. That's my theory.
@NarcisseChapleau maybe.. but aparently the one from morrowind was making a refferance to the next fallout or something... im not sure since i didnt play it(not my generation D: ) i hope that hes just in every part ^^
In Skyrim, M'aiq specifically says that his father and father before that (and perhaps beyond) were all named M'aiq. At least, that's what his father told him.
@Storm7971 M'Aiq is named M'Aiq after his father who is named M'Aiq after his father who is named M'Aiq after his father who is named M'Aiq after his father who is named M'Aiq after his father who is named after his father who is also named M'Aiq.
what i'd like to see is being able to start in cyrodill again and travel all over tamriel so skyrim, morrowind etc to crush the aldmeri dominion once and for all then you're eventually made emperor/empress; who knows that could be elder scrolls VI
The new Khajiit voices are better in general but just for M'iaq I prefer how he sounded in Oblivion, along with his intro, i never get tired of it for some reason
The best thing is it's possible that M'aiq see a dragon before Alduin's return. Bone dragons in some Skyrim dungeon dead dragons in their bruial sites, or Phaartunax. M'aiq exist in the Elder Scrolls online too so i don't know what the hell is his secret but he's damn immortal.
his fathers name was maiq and maiqs fathers father was named maiq
Wow this really shows u how much the games have progressed.
Cats have 9 lives.
M´aiq will remain a mystery till the end of time.
@inuyasharocks333 In Skyrim he says "The Kahjiit change when they come to Skyrim."
He's referring to the new character models. And he also says he's looking for a good fable, but hasn't found one. He's referring to the game series "Fable."

M´aiq appreciates the compliment and no worries M´aiq doesnt feel pain.
M'aiq is the fore-teller of the Elder Scrolls! No wonder he can't be killed!
M'Aiq is actually a dragonborn since morrowind. He already foreseen the tragedy that will happen in skyrim by that time.
M´aiq wants to be there too, but M´aiq is still waiting for a confirmation of his appearance.

M'aiq sounds like a cool dude to chill out with. I bet he has some awesome stories to tell, even if most of them are made up.
thats my favorite quote
"M'aiq eez dun talking"
@TheCheesyShorts That means in the next game he's probably going to talk about the importance of proper knee armor
@AllyssSings Actually, the M'aiq in skyrim has a line that says something about name being passed down through generations
This is M´aiqs favourite robe. And it doesnt matter, M´aiqs life is desribed best with the song: "pain".
@DarkChoclatewithtop one of his quotes is "M'aiq's father's name was M'aiq, so was his father'
@Patbad73 At one point M'aiq says his father was named M'aiq, and his father's father was named M'aiq.
@Patbad73 He mentions that his fathers name was also M'Aiq, and that his father's fathers' name was M'Aiq. So that explains why you see him in all 3 games. (its not the same M'Aiq you see in all 3 games.)
i found him in skyrim, honestly one of the main reasons i got the game
"M'aiq is very practical he has no need for mysticism"
That's my favorite from Skyrim
@Rohtix One of the things he says is that his great-grandfather and father were both named M'aiq.
@Arguingwithmyself1 He makes another reference to the character models. "M'aiq has heard that people in Skyrim more beautiful than in Cyrodil. M'aiq has no opinion. Thinks all people beautiful."
"Khajjits undergoe a transformation while coming to skyrim"
Things hinted in this video by M'Aiq in TES VI:
-Many butterflies
-Snow
May we start speculating now?
@GrimEncounter Thought, I have yet to see an easter egg to referance the Naked Nords that got their stuff stolen by a "witch" in Morrowind
200 years after it...
I think the butterfly part refers to how you can catch butterflies in Skyrim, obviously leading to the Dovahkiin single-handedly destroying a species.
He flies. Like everybody else.
@Arguingwithmyself1 That is bloody brilliant
M´aiq remembers everyone he met. But if it was a lie M´aiq blames his grandfather M´aiq.
Damnit, I found this guy about two days ago and didn't know the story behind him... although I did steal three skoomas off of him that I've yet to consume or sell. Thanks, M'Aiq!
good, you are too awesome to feel pain
That is a very good point right there.
M'Aiq knows much tells some.
M'aiq knows TOO MUCH.
Yeah, The Liar family were Eduard Khils pets, he trained them so that they would act that way.
@BARRICADE10 i would say he is around 527 or something since morrowind was 7 years before oblivion and skyrim is 500 years after oblivion
@UnknownZealot77 I'm not an expert, but what I've been told is that if you read the books in Cicero's house, one of them says he kills what was one of your previous characters. All the fur on Nord armour makes M'Aiq very nervous xD
M´aiq doesnt see the problem.
MA'iq the liar from creepy to epic gameplay.
M'aiq says in a line of dialogue that his father was named M'aiq, as was his father, which explains his presence in both Morrowind and Oblivion prior.
I remember, on Oblivion, M'aiq said "Why you go up when you want to go down" or something along that line which is I knew that he talk about the lack of levitating spell on Oblivion, so I think M'aiq the liar is some kinda 4th wall breaking NPC
It's confirmed. Butterflies are going to be the main enemy of The Elder Scrolls VI.
@inuyasharocks333 He's a comedic relief character, occasionally used for breaking the fourth wall.
@gansterlicous Actually he says, that his father name is M'aiq and his father's father too :-)
@Fishstixj4l Quote from Skyrim M'aiq; "M'aiq's father was also called M'aiq. As was M'aiq's father's father. At least, thats what he said."
There you go! It's a huge linage of crazy khajiits :D

Oh, M'Aiq. I'm sorry I shot you down with my arrows when you ran away, in oblivion.
M'aiq must be very old....The crisis is oblivion was 150 years ago (Skyrim time) and he's been alive all this time.
That's just what he wants you to think. He is older than Nirn itself.
I found him in Skyrim west of Whiterun at the tower next to a dead guard.
I'm sure he is tired. I would be too after wandering around Tamriel for several hundred years.
M'Aiq needs to be the king of Elsweyr in the next TES game.
@Eepicman Cicero does not kill your character from oblivion, in fact there is speculation tht your character from oblkivion is sheogorath.
Yeah, the 3 games with him are years apart
He's looking well :P
M'aiq the Elder Scrolls Master Troll
voice acting in best form
Mai'q neglected to tell us he has an Elder Scroll to move through time and he can change his appearance.
M'aiq sounds in oblivion so creepy o.o
0:45 lead your road to Skyrim XD
No, he reference Skyrim itself so add-on WITH PRETTY SNOWFLAKE-BUTTERFLY ARMOR!!!
maybe he got frozen in ice in skyrim for 200 years and was recently found
Well there's a lot of butterflies in High Rock, so maybe...
@Prestatron10 Wrong. Your character is different every game. In fact, you meet this jester in Skyrim that you find out later killed the arena champion (i.e, your first character). His name is Cicero.
Butterflies relate to the fact that the dragonborn has the ability to capture butterflies
He says sometimes, that all the men in his family are called M'aiq the Liar so that explains why he seems to be immortal
M'aiq mentioned he was soul trapped before. Who knows how he got out but it could explain his age.
I like his hat in Morrowind. I wish he had it in the other games.
I like Maig´s voice in Skyrim :D very cute :)
Shouted* M'aiq* Liar* Your welcome.
In Skyrim, M'aiq specifically says that his father and father before that (and perhaps beyond) were all named M'aiq. At least, that's what his father told him.
I like to think that they're all the same. Knowing there's an immortal, omnipotent, sentient bipedal cat always keeps me going.
@Betonoszlop i heard on a video interview theres like 100 voice actors this time.
He also mentions that people say that the people of Skyrim is better looking than the people of Cyrodiil (Oblivion). So true.
I'm hoping it's summerset isle, and if it is, It might be fitting.
Looks like he...Cheetah'd death
@izzboxer1996 Nope. It's a name past down through the generations by M'aiq's family.
M'Aiq the "LIAR"
0:47, when M'aiq didn't lie.
"M'aiq's father was also called M'aiq. As was M'aiq's father's father. At least, that's what he said. But then again, you can never trust a liar"
@Storm7971 M'Aiq is named M'Aiq after his father who is named M'Aiq after his father who is named M'Aiq after his father who is named M'Aiq after his father who is named M'Aiq after his father who is named after his father who is also named M'Aiq.
M´aiq is done talking.
M'aiq in Morrowind isn't just a loss of time. If you listen carefully to him he tells you about an underwater lost realm... That actually exist!
@NikoBellicSerbia30 no im correct its like saying A to Z, its order.
At least that's what his father told him...
Impossible. The dragonborn caught them all.
He is the Jiub of our time. Those damned bugs were almost as annoying as cliff racers.
what i'd like to see is being able to start in cyrodill again and travel all over tamriel so skyrim, morrowind etc to crush the aldmeri dominion once and for all then you're eventually made emperor/empress; who knows that could be elder scrolls VI
The new Khajiit voices are better in general but just for M'iaq I prefer how he sounded in Oblivion, along with his intro, i never get tired of it for some reason
@bigredphenom or they could instead leave it as it was and continue to make an even better sequel
skyrim is before the oblivion crisis if i am not mistaken... so he is actually talking about the drragon crisis in the other games.
HOW IS HE ALIVE IT HAS BEEN ABOUT 700 YEARS
