Managed to finish Dragonball 1986 in about 2 weeks. Didn't skip any filler but I did watch most episodes at 1.2x. some scenes at 1.8/2.5x. Some might call that controversial but I still understood everything and saved roughly 20 hours of time. I think you can absolutely finish everything by October

You should start with Dr. Slump, it's not very relevant to the story but it's set in the same world and it will help you understand a few episodes better.
its a good organized order, although i wouldnt worry too much with most movies, except a few like the bardock ones since they're cool and offer good insight into goku's backstory and whatnot. movies like lord slug or cooler's revenge aren't cannon and dont even fit in the timeline of events and might leave first time watchers confused

There's no reason to understand how to watch series in correct order! DB came first so watch it first, DBZ is 2nd so watch it after DB. Finally you can watch DB GT or DBS. But the movies are confusing if you try to watch them in a way that would make them feel canon. There's lot of year gaping in the series. During those year gap, you can assume that movie events might have happened!

If you're aiming for the canon ones only, avoid Z and GT or skip some episodes. Z has fillers which are not canon such as Garlic Jr Saga, GT obviously not canon and only 2 movies are actually canon in the franchise and it's the Broly (DBS) movie and Super Hero. BOG and ROF aren't canon since they've been overwrite by the manga for example the canon version is where Bulma's birthday takes place on a cruise ship while the movie has it on Capsule Headquarters.
Since DAIMA is before Super, I recommend you to watch DAIMA 👍 the story of DAIMA starts after DBZ! You should know that DAIMA is already airing... After DAIMA ends! Go ahead for Super.. 😊

I watched it dubbed but with subtitles. I find the subtitles dialogue is better but the actual dub voices are better than the sub VAs. This also let me compare the changes and I must say there are quite a few. You still get the same story in the end, but a lot of jokes were changed or removed or made more PG. And some things that straight up make no sense in the dub but made much more sense with the subs. So I definitely think it's worth watching it this way.
I used to watch this as a kid randomly but now I want to watch the whole thing. Will it still make sense if i just watch in from 1-the end? Or is that not recommended?
@@eliaszogari1864 i watched dbz cuz db kai wasnt really my taste… i am a sub watcher but idk the sub version in db kai felt a bit odd to me and the chr were also a bit different color or some shit…..basically db kai is the version made for the larger audience i.e. dub watchers and theres barely any difference i see in dbz and db kai animations….. and manga-accurate shit that people say is just bullshit, in db kai they have basically cut useless scenes to shorten its episode length nothing much…. Go for db kai if u like dub otherwise go for dbz if u like sub (also if u dont care about about episode length and that constant staring on the faces 😂,theres not much diff in anime so dw)
The movies aren't even Canon until Super, and Kai is 100 times better I promise you. So just watch DB then DBKai then Super in order it's actually really easy yet this video really complicates it for no reason

I watched it dubbed but with subtitles. I find the subtitles dialogue is better but the actual dub voices are better than the sub VAs.
This also let me compare the changes and I must say there are quite a few. You still get the same story in the end, but a lot of jokes were changed or removed or made more PG. And some things that straight up make no sense in the dub but made much more sense with the subs.
So I definitely think it's worth watching it this way.
Dub is better in my opinion, especially when Goku gets older because the power ups and voice for Goku and Vegeta are great.

@@eliaszogari1864 i watched dbz cuz db kai wasnt really my taste… i am a sub watcher but idk the sub version in db kai felt a bit odd to me and the chr were also a bit different color or some shit…..basically db kai is the version made for the larger audience i.e. dub watchers and theres barely any difference i see in dbz and db kai animations….. and manga-accurate shit that people say is just bullshit, in db kai they have basically cut useless scenes to shorten its episode length nothing much…. Go for db kai if u like dub otherwise go for dbz if u like sub (also if u dont care about about episode length and that constant staring on the faces 😂,theres not much diff in anime so dw)
The movies aren't even Canon until Super, and Kai is 100 times better I promise you. So just watch DB then DBKai then Super in order it's actually really easy yet this video really complicates it for no reason

After completing Z kai & Z Kai super watch DB Super ep 1-3 then movie "battle of gods" then I think you can complete the rest
