Dive buddies Billy and Matt documented their camping excursion through the coastal inlets of Catalina Island earlier this month (July 2016).
"With bikes, a trailer, plus packed to the brim backpacking packs, we hiked our way to an awesome campsite right on the water. Over the course of 4 days, the ocean provided meals, adventure, and the occasional scrubbing of dishes and cutting boards. We stumbled across eel's eating Calico Bass leftovers, schools of Yellowtail, and our fair share of personal best fish. Enjoy the edit with Alt-J in the background! i want to go to catalina but reserving a campsite seems impossible also the campsites are inland except for boat in, whats the best site for spearfishing?

Sweet video, I am going on a 4 day spearfishing trip in the begining of June, any tips? I will be using a pole spear and this will be my first time spearfishing.
Jamison Kerr attach a teacher from the spear to yourself(if you attach it to yourself I recommend about 15yds of 550 cord) or to your boat if you have one(if attached to your boat then the cord can be as long as you want).
